    Following the demise of former President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, the family of the late statesman has charged the media to be discretionary and respect their privacy. Several people including President Akufo-Addo, John Mahama, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia among others have taken to social media to pay tribute to the late Amissah-Arthur. A number of media houses have made several attempts to contact family members of the former veep with others trooping to the house to cover the atmosphere at his home.

    SUDDEN DEMISE OF FORMER VICE PRESIDENT


    With deep regrets, we announce the sudden demise of the immediate
    past Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency K. B.
    Amissah-Arthur, in Accra this morning.

    The family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support in this
    moment of grief. In due course, the family would keep the public
    informed of the funeral arrangements.

    Respectfully, we wish to request that the media gives the family some
    privacy in these very difficult times.
