Steps to connect to various Third-party Peering Providers through DELIX:

Step 1: GATHERING ALL INFO IN ONE PLACE:

Please do share with us through our KYC Form what peering services are required (which content is
needed). Also share your latest Network Diagram with us. Do mention the IX Port Capacity required.
Please note that Extreme Peering Cloud Traffic Capacity cannot be capped at our end. It will
be billed as per actual Monthly Effective Graph readings.

NOTES:

EIX Port Capacity:

This is the Physical Speed Capability of the Port/SFP used to connect to IX equipment.
Currently 1G-10G are standard, but we do have options for higher Bandwidth ports, if required.

EIX Traffic Capacity:

The actual throughput you have through link with IX equipment, limited by agreement with transport
providers, shared capacity of some line with other services etc.

Step 2: GETTING THE PORT CONNECTIVITY IN PLACE (MUMBAI):

Schedule and connect with DELIX, Mumbai @Near-GPX / NetMagic on your Port OR DELIX, Hyderabad
@ Worldlinks (our most preferred location) / Tata IDC, Madhapur / CtrlS, Hitec City.

For @Near-GPX, the customer will have to get permission for access to Chamber No.2 in Boomerang
premises through GPX Global, Chandivali, Mumbai. Along with permission, GPX Global may also ask you
to avail of the services of its authorised vendor for splicing etc. which you may have to comply with.

Similarly, instructions for other locations will be provided based on the location mentioned by you in the
DELIX KYC Form for connecting to us.

Please note that you will need to arrange for an SFP module at your own cost to connect to
our services. The specification of the SFP module will be shared with you upon receiving
your duly filled DELIX KYC Form.

Step 3: CREATING AN ACCOUNT ON THE GLOBAL PEERING PLATFORM:

PEERINGDB.COM

Go to https://www.peeringdb.com/register/ and create your account. Provide all the necessary and
relevant information. Give your organization name as well as your AS number registered with Extreme IX.
Also do fill the “NOC & Abuse” contact information. INCORRECT / INCOMPLETE DETAILS WILL
LEAD TO DELAY IN YOUR REGISTRATION.

Step 4: REGISTERING YOUR ORGANISATION ON PEERINGDB.COM:

Adding your network to an IXP is very easy. Let's say you want to add yourself as a member to EXTREME
IX – MUMBAI.

1. Log in to PeeringDB.com

2. Go to your network entry (either click on the menu right to your login, choose your organization, then
network OR search for your network in the search field).

3. Click on edit on the right hand side.

4. Start to type in "EXTREME IX" in the Exchange Field. EXTREME IX should pop up in the drop down
menu. Select the relevant EXTREME IX.

5. Fill in all the other details, while editing your record, please also check whether the information is up to
date.

Step 5: APPLYING PBR FOR EXTREME-IX RECORDS ON PEERINGDB.COM:

Configure Extreme IX IP address given on your core router and create its record into
https://www.peeringdb.com/ (see Step 4) and update your entry with your Extreme IX IP. Apply PBR on
your core router. We will provide the PBR rules.

NOTE: Please make sure only your core router is within the vlan used for IX. You should also have no
other vlans or spanning tree enabled on IX port. Only one MAC address should be visible on IX port. Just
note, all ports have 4 ARPs limit, so even if more are presented, any 4 will be remembered randomly!

Step 6: ESTABLISHING BILATERAL PEERING WITH FACEBOOK:

For initiating direct peering with Facebook via Extreme existing link, you need to send the
following email to Facebook:

Subject: Direct Facebook Bilateral Peering over Extreme-IX, Mumbai

Dear Facebook Peering team,

We would like to peer with you over Extreme-IX, Mumbai.

Kindly find our details below:

ASN: --> your AS Number

Network name: --> Your Network Name
Contact name and email: --> Contact Details
v4 address: - /this is your Extreme IX IP/
v4 prefix count: --> all of your prefix counts (number of /24 IP Pools)
NOC contact: --> your NOC contact details

After receiving a confirmation email from Facebook peering team, establish BGP session with:

FB IP: 103.77.108.135
FB AS: 32934

FB peering will reply with their respective BGP settings to be configured by you. Configure BGP and reply
back. You will get a confirmation email from FB peering team stating that your session is up and running.

Step 7: ESTABLISHING BILATERAL PEERING WITH LIMELIGHT:

For initiating direct peering with Limelight via Extreme existing link, you need to send the
following email to Limelight:

Subject: Direct Limelight Bilateral Peering over Extreme-IX, Mumbai.

Dear Limelight Peering team,

We would like to peer with you over Extreme-IX, Mumbai.

Contact name and email: --> Contact Details
v4 address: - /this is your Extreme IX IP/
v4 prefix count: --> all of your prefix counts (number of /24 IP Pools)
NOC contact: --> your NOC contact details

Limelight peering will reply with their respective BGP settings to be configured by you. Configure BGP and
reply back. You will get a confirmation email from Limelight peering team stating that your session is up
and running.

Step 8: ESTABLISHING BILATERAL PEERING WITH NETFLIX:

To establish Netflix and Microsoft BGP sessions, you need to configure additional IP address on your
interface. You will use the IP for services served from Extreme-IX, Delhi.

Extreme-IX, Delhi IP address will be provided to you. Update this IP information on:
https://www.peeringdb.com/

In order to get Extreme-IX Netflix Peering service, please establish BGP session with:

Remote IP: 45.120.248.5

Remote AS: 135814

Let us know once you are done with the config. in order to help us apply the same on our
side.

Step 9: ESTABLISHING BILATERAL PEERING WITH MICROSOFT:

In order to get Extreme-IX Microsoft Peering service:
