1. Six persons A, B, C, D, E and F are sitting in row - I facing South but not necessarily in
the same order and each of them is working in a different company among Microsoft,
Amazon, TCS,SAPIENT , HDFC and Axis. Six persons P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting in
row - II facing north but not necessarily in the same order and each of them is working in
a different company among Google, Infosys, Accenture, IBM, Capital One and ICICI.
Each person in one row faces exactly one person from the other row. A is third from the
left end and is opposite the person who is to the immediate right of the IBM employee.
The IBM employee is opposite the person who is to the immediate left of the TCS
employee. The Google employee and the SAPIENT employee sit at right ends in their
respective rows. C is a SAPIENT employee, and is adjacent to E. D sits opposite Q and to
the left of A but does not sit at any extreme. B is not adjacent to D but opposite P. The
ICICI employee sits neither at an end nor opposite A, but sits to the right of P. The
Accenture employee is adjacent to neither the Infosys employee nor the Capital One
employee. S sits at an end. R is opposite the Amazon employee but sits at neither end. T
is opposite the HDFC employee and the Microsoft employee is second to the right of the
Axis employee. The Capital One employee is not adjacent to P.

2. Six exams Maths, science, History, Economics, English and Hindi are to be scheduled
starting from 2nd March and ending on 8th march wit Sunday being an off day, not
necessarily in the same order. Each of the exam has different time duration: 40 mins, 50
mins, 60 mins, 75 mins, 90 mins and 100 mins, again not necessarily in the same order.
8th march is not sunday and an exam of 40 mins is scheduled on that day. Maths exam is
for less than 60 mins and is scheduled immediately before English exam. There are two
exams scheduled between Hindi exam which is or 100 mins and History exam which is
for 60 mins. English exam is before Sunday and there are two days between sunday and
maths exam. Economics exam which is for 75 mins is not scheduled on 2nd march. The
exam schedules on saturday is of 100 mins.

A committee has nine members A, B, C, D, E. F. G, H and I and it is divided into three groups,
viz Play group, Entertainment group and Food group — with three members in each group.
There are certain conditions for the formation of the groups. Only three members will be selected
in each group. One person cannot be selected for more than one group. A is in the Play group. H
is in the Entertainment group. C and D are in the same group but not in the group of I. A and B
are not in the same group. E is not in the same group as I but is in the Food group. F is in the
group in which either H or B or both of them are present. I and H are not in the same group. F is
neither with E nor with I.

K, L, M, N and O are five executives, each having a different specialization. Specialization are P,
Q, R, S and T but not necessarily in the same order. Each executive has friendship
with a doctor but of different specialization. Doctors are – A, B, C, D and E. Their specialization
are – F, G, H, I and J but not necessarily in the same order. Study some additional clues to
answer the questions given below__

(I) K’s specialization is T and his friendship is not with A.

(II) Amongst executives there are only three females and these females are one who has
friendship with C, one whose specialization is P and one who has friendship with the doctor
having specialization in I. K and M are males.

(III) The female who has specialization in Q has friendship with the person specialized in H.

(IV) The person who has specialization in G, has no friendship with the person specialized in R.
D is not specialized in G.

(V) The person who has friendship with E, is a female but she is not N.

(VI) O is not the female who has friendship with the doctor specialized in F. But D is not
specialized in F.

(VII) L’s specialization is S.

8 family members P, Q,R,S,T, U, V, W decided to hold a gathering. Each member is related to U


in a certain way as in - Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Wife, Son, Daughter. They were
supposed to sit around a circular table.

(i) V sits 2nd left to S and P sits 2nd right to the one who is opposite to R. Some face towards the
center while some face outward.

(ii) Father of U sits 3rd left to his grand daughter.

(iii) One pair of mother and daughter sit together and they face in opposite direction.

(iv) Only one person sits between T and Q who is not adjacent to her son. One male member did
not attend the gathering and his seat remains empty.

(v) Two persons sit between U and his sister and they face same direction. One couple face
opposite direction while other couple face same direction.

(vi) T sits immediate right of her uncle who face opposite direction to his father. Q sits 2nd right

(vii) S sits opposite to her brother in law and face opposite direction to him. No father sits

extreme.

(iv) Grey faces the one who is the immediate neighbor of the vacant seat. Q sits 3rd left of R who
sits adjacent to T.

(v) The one facing the one who likes Pink sits 3rd right from the one who like yellow who faces
the immediate neighbor of the vacant seat.

(vi) One person sits between C & D, No one sits between D & B, No one sits between the ones
who like Green and Brown. C does not like Yellow or Magenta.

(vii) S is not a neighbor of R but sits between the ones who like Pink and Grey.

(viii) E who does not like Yellow is an immediate neighbor of the one who faces the vacant seat.

They all have their birthdays in Feb, March, April and May on dates 10 or 20.

(i) One person lives between C and F. As many people live between H & G as between A & E
live. G is 2 months younger than H.

(ii) The one whose birthday come in a month of 31 days lives on the lowest floor while the oldest
of them lives on the top floor.

(iii) One person lives between H & A. B lives on 4th floor. Two people celebrate their birthdays
between the birthdays of C & D.

(iv) The persons whose birthday fall in the month of March live on the adjacent floors.

(v) 2 persons live between the ones whose birthday fall in the month of April. A's birthday fall

(viii) The age of F is average of ages of C and D. One from UP and MP are sitting adjacent to

There are seven person – Gemma, Natalie, Gillian, Jennifer, Jeri, Emma and Maradona – who
teach different subjects viz- Sanskrit, Geography, History, Civics, Economics, Hindi and English
but not necessarily in the same order. They teach on different days of the
week starting from Monday. They like different colours, viz- white, yellow, Red, Black, Brown,
Green and Pink but not necessarily in the same order.

Natalie, who likes Green, teacher on the fourth day of the week but neither Sanskrit nor English.
Two persons teach b/w Natalie and Emma neither of them teaches on the 1st day of the week.
There is one person b/w Gemma and Gillian. But Gillian does not teach
either on 1st or on 3rd day of the week. Gillian likes yellow colour and teachers Sanskrit. The
one who teaches History teaches on the last day of the week and likes Red colour.
Jennifer does not teach on the day either immediately before or immediately after the classes by
Gemma, who doesn’t like either Brown or white or Black colour.

Maradona teaches immediately after Gillian and he likes white colour. Jeri does not like Brown
colour and teaches Hindi Gemma does not teach either Economics or civics. The one who
teaches Geography takes class immediately after the day when Sanskrit has been
taught.

order. They contain different flavors of cake among Pineapple, Butter White, Cappuccino,
Cherry Marble, Black Forest, Milk Chocolate, Chocolate Almond and Raspberry. Boxes are
made up of different materials among steel, plastic, wood and card box. Exactly two boxes are
made of same material. Consider top as 1st position. The following information is known about
them.

i. Box T which is made up of plastic is kept two places above R and both are in the top 4
positions when boxes are arranged from top to bottom. ii. The box containing Cherry Marble is
kept immediately below wooden box and is made up of same material as T. iii. Box S is kept
somewhere between W and X and X being below S. iv. The two cardboard boxes are kept
vertically adjacent to each other. v. Cappuccino cake is kept exactly between V and the box
containing Milk Chocolate. vi. X doesn’t contain Pineapple cake. vii. Box U is kept two places

They are sitting a circular table facing centre. The person who have won the prize for medicine,
Economics and peace are neither from Japan nor from India.

The person who are from France and China have won neither for Medicine nor for Literature. A
is neither from Japan nor sits on the immediate left of the person won for Chemistry. The only
person who is between E and F, Has won the prize for Physics . The Person who is on the left
side of the person from Japan has not won the prize for
literature. D has won the prize for chemistry and is from China.He is facing the person who has
won the prize for physics.

One who has won the prize for medicine is sitting opposite to the person from Russia, while the
person from china is on the left of the person who has won the prize for peace. One who has won

building but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor of the building is numbered

In an annual function of a school five students viz C, K, J, L and B participated in discus throw
competition. All of them throw discus but discus was thrown by them to different distances. The
