A pronoun is a word used to replace the names of people, animals or objects.

For examples:

1. Aminah and Sheila are good friends.


They are good friends.
2. Mr. Lee scolds Mary for being lazy.
He scolds her for being lazy.
3. The dog barks at the little boy.
It barks at him.
