In this paper we will give to know the importance of asking questions in the past
simple "to be".
The past tense of the verb "to be" does not take the auxiliary "did" to form questions.
There are simply investment between the subject and the verb "to be".
In the specific case of the first questions we use the verb "was" or "were" depending
on who you talk to. For specific questions put at first the word "Wh-" followed by the
verb to be in the past and then complement.

El pasado simple del verbo "to be" no toma el auxiliar "did" para formar preguntas. Hay
simplemente inversión entre el sujeto y el verbo "to be".

SIMPLE PAST
Past tense- Past Time. This is a verb tense that is used to express actions that take
place in the previous moment and with a certain frequency.
PASADO SIMPLE
Past tense- Tiempo Pasado. Este es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para expresar
acciones que tienen lugar en el momento anterior y con una frecuenci a determinada.
¿WHAT IS TO BE VERB?
It is a copulative verb that expresses a state that we use to:
- indicate the identity of a person, place or thing
- describe the qualities of a person, place or thing
- indicate the condition, status or location of a person, place or thing
The verb be in the past tense (Past Tense) is conjugated in two ways
different depending on people or personal pronouns:

To ask questions with the verb to be we place the verb in front of the subject.
(Para hacer preguntas con el verbo to be colocamos el verbo delante del sujeto.)
1. Were you happy with the report? ¿Estuviste contento con el informe?
2. Was he a good student? ¿Él era un buen estudiante?
3. Was she angry with me? ¿Ella estaba enfadada conmigo?.
