To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Elizabeth Salazar. Elizabeth was the ASES Site Lead
during the 2015-2016 school year at Mickey Cox Elementary. I had the opportunity to get to know her over that school
year and I was continually impressed with her professionalism, maturity, and work ethic. She was instrumental in making
our ASES program run effectively and smoothly from the very beginning. Although I was extremely sad for Mickey Cox
when Elizabeth left to pursue other opportunities, I would without reservation recommend her for any position that she
would apply for with Clovis Unified in the future.

The ASES program at Mickey Cox was brand new in 2015 and as a school site we had many questions and concerns
about running the program. Elizabeth became part of the conversation early on and was invaluable in helping us create a
successful program that our teachers and community supported. When she started she took time to get to know our needs
as a school and community. This enabled her to combine previous experiences at other school sites with her
understanding of the unique Mickey Cox community to help shape a program that is tailored to our students’ needs. This
was essential to the success of our program.

Elizabeth developed positive relationships with students, parents and staff. Elizabeth did not shy away from initiating
parent contact when necessary and she promptly returned parent phone calls. During the school year there were a few
situations in which parents were upset about something that occurred during ASES. Elizabeth handled those situations
with professionalism, understanding, and common sense. I was also impressed that Elizabeth did not hesitate to ask our
Site Coordinator or me questions if she was unsure of how to proceed in a situation. Additionally, Elizabeth worked
closely with the ASES teachers to ensure a quality program for all students.

It is my honor to recommend Elizabeth Salazar to you as a very capable individual who possesses the positive qualities
you must have in order to be a successful communicator and facilitator. She will be an asset to any school or program that
is lucky enough to hire her. If there is any further way that I may be of assistance to you please contact me at (559) 327-
6400.

Respectfully,
