Objectives:

daily life
2. Cite examples where research can be
applied
3. Appreciate the importance on how
research transforms our lives.
Key Ideas:
1. Research – the search for new knowledge. The re
studying of previous knowledge.
2. Research can be utilized in: technological
advancements, discovery of new drugs, creation of
innovative tools that can ease daily living.
3. Research is important because it lets us discover new
knowledge and through this new knowledge we can
be guided in its application.
Materials: LCD Projector, Netbook, Visual Aids, 1/8 Strategies: Cooperative learning, didactic discussions
piece of paper, manila paper, marker and tape.

1. Daily Classroom Routine: a. Prayer to be led by a student.
b. Classroom monitoring- cleanliness of the room
c. Checking of attendance

3. Motivation: Name that Logo

 The class will be called in front to sort out and identify key logos of known cellular phone brands. They are to place
the right brand name on the logo presented in front of the board.
2. Recall –Concept Mapping
The students will be asked to write on the board through the use of a concept map the scientific method.
4. Presentation of objectives through abstraction: present the objectives of todays lesson
The teacher will flash on the screen the specific objectives of the day

5. Lesson Proper:
A. The importance of research in our daily lives.
a. Procedure A – Think of something that you cannot live without. (describe the object)
b. Procedure B- Share briefly why it is so important to you. How can it help others

B. WORKING TOGETHER ACTIVITY (Where can research be applied)

The class will answer the problem in which the students have to write their answers on a manila paper.
a. Pre-activity- The teacher will discuss the procedure and rubric to be used for grading.
b. Activity Proper- Given enough time, the students will write their answers on the manila paper.
c. Post-Activity- Each group will post and discuss their answers on the board.

ii. Procedure B. Select 3 students to discuss how their selected items could help everyone in general, the
students will present their discussions via creative ways

Using I learned statement strategy the students will give 3 things that they have learned, 2 applications in real life, 1
value in doing qualitative research
