    This thesis examines the relationship between inflation and unemployment in Nigeria. It analyzes how inflation and unemployment impact each other in the Nigerian economy from 1986 to 2014. The study finds evidence of a short-run tradeoff between inflation and unemployment, but no long-run relationship. Higher inflation is associated with lower unemployment in the short-run, but there is no consistent effect in the long-run. The thesis was submitted in partial fulfillment of a Master of Science degree in Economics at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus.
