Student Response and Assessment Tools
X Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) X To illuminate common
misconceptions X Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and mastery
for ALL students) ☐ Summative assessment of content knowledge X Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):
If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):
https://play.kahoot.it/#/k/c5f92a40-f0e1-41f0-945d-2ac6c55ae215
Questions are the same as the Plickers sample.
Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?
X Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
X Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
So that they know what areas they can approve upon before a summative assessment.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
We will go over the correct answers and why those answers are correct.
How will the data be used?
The data collected will be what the students got incorrect. This will be used by the teacher and students. The
teacher will use this data to adjust any future lessons and help to students (scaffold, differentiate). The
students will use this as a self-assessment and therefore study/work on the areas they struggled in.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity.
I have never tried SRTs before, so a personal goal is to try it and reflect upon what went well and what didn’t
and how I can use this newfound knowledge and build upon it. I hope that students are able to learn how to
use this type of technology and how they can use the data retrieved to improve themselves as far as
academics go.
Reflective Practice:
To further this activity, the teacher can have the students create their own SRTs and use this as a way to
review the material. For example, students can create Quizlet flash cards/quizzes and share it with one
another. To further this even more, we can post the students Quizlets on the class blog.
