CITY APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 2015-012

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE AUGMENTATION OF FUND IN THE AMOUNT
OF P 64,000.00 TO BE SOURCED OUT FROM OFFICE SUPPLIES, FUEL
OIL/FILTERS/ LUBRICANTS, PROTECTIVE GEARS, OTHER MAINTENANCE AND
OPERATION EXPENSES AND TRAINING EXPENSES FOR REPAIR/MAINTENANCE
OF CITY/MOTOR VEHICLES EXPENSES AND TRAVEL EXPENSES BUDGET ITEMS
OF THE CITY ENGINEERING OFFICE

WHEREAS, there was a letter dated November 25, 2015 of

Hon. Harris Glenn D. Puyot, Acting City Mayor, this City, addressed to the Honorable
Sangguniang Panlungsod Members through Hon Robert N. Cong, Acting City Vice
Mayor, forwarding the letter of Engr. Ludivina M. Gaid, City Engineer, this City
requesting for augmentation of funds, details of which are follows:

Protective Gears - 6,000.00

WHEREAS, the said letter was referred to the Committee on Appropriation,

Budget and Finance for study, evaluation and recommendations;

WHEREAS, the Committee of Appropriation, Budget and Finance found the

request of Engr. Ludivina M. Gaid to be in order and recommended for a favorable
endorsement.

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT ORDAINED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 108th Regular

Session: t h a t,

SECTION 1. USE OF SAVINGS AND AUGMENTATION. In accordance with

Section 336 of Republic Act No. 7160, the Local Government Code of 1991, the
Governor/Mayor and/or the Presiding Officer of the Sanggunian is/are authorized to
augment any item in the approved annual budget for their respective offices from
savings in other items within the same expense class of their respective appropriations.

For this purpose, “savings” refer to portions or balances of any programmed

appropriation free from any obligation or encumbrance, still available after the
satisfactory completion or the unavoidable discontinuance or abandonment of the work,
activity or purpose for which the appropriation is authorized, or arising from unpaid
compensation and related costs pertaining to vacant positions and leaves of absence
without pay.

“Augmentation” implies the existence in the budget of an item, project, activity

or purpose with an appropriation which, upon implementation or subsequent evaluation
of needed resources, is determined to be deficient.

SECTION 2. AUGMENTATION. The amount of Sixty-Four Thousand

Pesos (P 64,000.00) to be sourced out from Office Supplies, Fuel
Oil/Filters/Lubricants, Protective Gears, Other Maintenance and Operation Expenses
and Training Expenses for Repair/Maintenance of City/Motor Vehicles Expenses and
Travel Expenses budget items of the City Engineering Office.

SECTION 3. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If, for any reason, any section or

provision of this Ordinance is declared invalid or unconstitutional, other sections or
provisions thereof which are not affected thereby shall continue to be in full force and
effect.

SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY. The provisions of this Ordinance shall take effect

upon approval and posting requirements.
