In 2017, Campus startups worldwide raised more than:
Six years ago, we launched
our first-ever Campus
location in London. Since
then, we’ve opened
Campuses in Tel Aviv, Madrid,
Seoul, Warsaw, and São
Paulo – with Berlin joining
the family soon. As part of
these thriving communities,

economies while tackling
some of the world’s biggest

Campus Startup
Job Fair
In May 2017 Campus Madrid
hosted Campus Startup Job
Fair, a full day event aiming to
connect startups with the right
talent they need for their teams.
900 people had the opportunity
to meet and share their CVs
with the 30 startups present
at the event. More than 10,000
interviews took place in
just one day, resulting in 30%
of the startups hiring at least new jobs created by Campus Madrid

opportunity to learn from
founders and entrepreneurs
at the different talks hosted

Meet Open Source
Weekends
Jose Manuel Gallego was Campus Madrid’s
security lead but had always been interested
in coding. After two years working at
Campus, he decided to quit his job and
become a developer himself. Together with
Ulises and Carlos, two developers he met at
the Campus Café, he founded Open Source
Weekends, a community of people who
work collaboratively to design and build
open source projects for social impact.
With an emphasis on face-to-face
collaboration with other tech communities,
Open Source Weekends massively increased
their network of contacts through Campus,
growing their own community from 100 to
more than 1,500 people.

Lupina Iturriaga believed there should be a

Meet Cubelizer
In 2015, Celso Masid and Marcos García
realized there was a need to rethink how
commercial spaces were managed in the
physical world. While they were sure this
was an opportunity worth exploring, it was free events hosted by the

something – and launched Cubelizer.
Cubelizer uses machine learning and image
processing to provide objective and reliable
data for retailers to understand and improve
the performance of their retail space to
ultimately increase sales. Being residents at
Campus Madrid, Cubelizer was connected
with several key contacts who were able to
introduce them to their first big client: one of
the world’s largest global retail corporations.
