Course
This course is the equivalent of "Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 1" and "Interconnecting
Cisco Network Devices Part 2" together. No need to take each of these CCNA courses separately.

Schedule
Delivery Schedule:
 12 evening sessions of 3 hrs each from 7 pm to 10 pm
 There will be 1 or 2 sessions in a week

Class room learning is 50% of the duration.



Comprehensive workshop style training with tutorials and hands-on real life practical activities
comprises the balance of 50%.
Students who enrol under WDA funding program need to complete the assessments at the end of the
module (refer details of assessments below)

The students, who enrol under WDA funding, will be issued SOAs after successfully completing each
module.
Delivery Method
Trained CISCO Certified Trainers with industry background and experience. Trainers must also have
completed ACTA. 

Trainer-Student ratio is maintained at 1:20.

Entry Requirements
 Students must have IT related experience
 Students must be Singaporeans or Singapore PRs to avail of WDA funding

Certificates Issued
Upon completion of this module course under WDA funding, students will receive Statement of
Attainment (SOA) Certificates from WDA. The details of SOA of each module are given below.
 IT-NMM-401S-1 : Install and configure a Switch

 IT-NMM-402S-1 : Install Switches and Multi-Switched local area network

Graduation Requirements
Students need to complete the following 2 assessments for each module
 Theory Exam: Students will be given 10 short questions and they need to answer in 45 minutes

 Practical Exam: Students will be asked to do 3 practical performance tasks in CISCO network
environment. Duration of this exam is 2 hrs.
After successful completion of these assessments students will be graded "Competent" (C) and will
achieve the Statement of Attainment (SOA)

Course Objective:
Participants will learn how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6
network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, connecting to a WAN, and
identifying basic security threats. It also includes more in-depth topics that teach learners how
to perform basic troubleshooting steps in enterprise branch office networks, preparing
students for the Cisco CCNA certification. Upon completing this course, you will have the skills
and knowledge to :

 Install, operate, and troubleshoot a medium-sized network, including connecting to a

WAN and implementing network security
 Describe the effects of new technologies such as IoE, IoT, IWAN, and SDN on network
evolution

Prerequisite:
No prerequisite. Working knowledge in Basic computer literacy & Basic PC operating system
navigation skills, Basic Internet usage skills & Basic IP address knowledge and Understanding of
network fundamentals would be an advantage.

Certificate Of Attendance:
Certificate Of Attendance will be awarded to participants completing the course achieving
minimum 75% attendance.
Training Duration:
Full-time: 5 Weekdays or 5 Sats (9am - 6pm)
Part-time: 11 sessions, twice a week (6.30pm to 10.00pm)

Training Methodology & Materials:

 Practical hands-on sessions, 80% lab-based and 20% theory-based.

 Additional and well-designed labs handouts are given to further enhance the courseware given.
