JUNIOR SHEQ OFFICER/FULL TIME SHEQ REP Duties

 The auditing, advising and assessing of Fossil Contracting project operations

 Co-ordinates and controls the activities of the Fossil contractors SHEQ management systems and verify their
compliance with ISO 9001; ISO 14001; OSHAS 18001, and Zimplats standards.
 Co-ordinates and controls the SHEQ documentation and ensures that all personnel are aware of the
client SHEQ Policy and their contribution to its accomplishment.
 Ensuring and enforcing team’s compliance to BMS rules and requirements
 Carrying out SHEQ inspections
 Influencing and coaching all leaders in the company in effective SHEQ practices and set the example through
competent leadership in SHEQ management.
 Liaising and communicating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the company interests and image are well
protected.
 Document control and filing
 Providing full time SHEQ surveillance at the project sites
 Coordinating toolbox talks and SHEQ meetings for project crew
 Observation of the following:
o Mining (Management and Safety) Regulations, 1990 (S.I. 109 of 1990).
o Mining (Health and Sanitation) Regulations 1995.
o NSSA (Accident Prevention and Worker’s Compensation Scheme) S. I. 68 of 1990.
o Pneumoconiosis Act 1996.
o Public Health Act.
o The Environmental Management Act.
o And any other applicable regulation or standard.
