Intercultural High School Student Exchange Volunteer June 2015 – Present
• International Student Volunteer: Coordinate and facilitate Post-Arrival and Mid-Year Orientations.
Interview and evaluate prospective host families.
• Study Abroad Volunteer: Administer Pre-Departure Orientations to American students. Interview and
evaluate prospective study abroad students.
• Study Abroad Recruiter: Advertise and present information about YFU to local students and teachers.
• Area Representative: Mentor local international students and provide guidance to host families.
Troubleshoot problems with students, host families, and YFU staff. Complete monthly student and host

monitor student academic progress, and submit school contact reports.
• National Volunteer Advisory Council Member (2017): Elected by YFU volunteers to respresent
volunteer interests to the organization. Collaborated monthly with the Chief of Staff and council members
to provide recommendations for volunteer involvement to YFU USA’s Board of Trustees. Attended the
Great Lakes Region Volunteer Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan from March 30 – April 2, 2017.

• Online Trainings: Completed online trainings through the GoToTraining platform to improve my skills
as an Orientation Coordinator, Area Representative, and International Student Volunteer.
