Brief Description
This Criteria provides information on the labelling methods for Electrical appliances and
electronic goods
Intent
This criteria aims to promote proper labeling of electrical appliances and electronic goods,
maintain the reputation of manufacturers to protect the fights and interests of consumers and to
ensure the safety of users.
Scope
electrical appliances and electronic goods that are displayed on domestic market for sales,
including hardwares and softwares, components and supplies.
Requirements
3.Items must be labeled:
(1)Hardware products:
(a)Name and model number of goods;
(b)Rated voltage (V) and rated frequency (Hz); (Not required if inapplicable)
(c)Total rated power consumption(W) or rated input current(A); (Not required if inapplicable)
(d)Manufacturing year and manufacturing number;
(e)The place of origin of goods;
(f)Specifications;
(g)Instructions of usage;
(h)Notes or warnings;
(i)Name, address, and telephone number of the manufacturer or OEM consigner. For
imported goods, the name of the manufacturer or OEM consigner, and the name, address
and telephone number of the importer , agent , or distributor shall be labeled.
(2)Software products:
(a)Name, version and language of software;
(b)System requirements;
(c)Function(s), purpose(s), or content of software;
(d)Screen resolution requirements;
(e)The place of origin of goods;
(f)Notes or warnings; (Not required if inapplicable)
(g)Name, address, and telephone number of the issuing, designing or publishing company.
For imported goods, the name of the issuing, designing or publishing company, and the
name, address and telephone number of the importer ,or agent, or distributor shall be
labeled.
(3)Components and supplies:
(a)Name and model number of goods;
(b)Rated voltage (V) ; (Not required if inapplicable)
(c)Specifications;
(d)The place of origin of goods;
(e)Notes or warnings;(Not required if inapplicable)
(f)Name, address, and telephone number of the manufacturer or OEM consigner. For
imported goods, the name of the manufacturer or OEM consigner, and the name, address
and telephone number of the importer , agent , or distributor shall be labeled.
