GAUGE
3 ch2-lps + 6 rows = 4" (10 cm) on larger hook.

SHRUG
Right Sleeve
Beg at cuff, with larger hook, ch 20 (23).
Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *ch 2, sk 2 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across – 6
(7) ch2-spaces.
Rows 2-4 Ch 1, sc in first sc, *ch 2, sk next ch2-space, sc in next sc; rep from *
across.
Row 5 Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, sc in next ch2-space, ch 2, sc in next sc, *ch 2,
sk next ch2-space, sc in next sc; rep from * across to last ch2-space, ch 2, sc in
next ch2-space, ch 1, sc in last sc.
Row 6 (Inc Row) Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 2, sk ch1-space, sc in next sc (inc
made), *ch 2, sk next ch2-space, sc in next sc; rep from * across to last ch1-
space, ch 2, sk last ch1-space, sc in last sc (inc made) – 8 (9) ch2-spaces.
Continue as established, working 4 (2) rows even, then working Rows 5 and 6,
for 2 (4) times – 12 (17) ch2-spaces. Work even until piece measures 13 1/2
(14)" [34.5 (35.5) cm] from beg. Place marker on each edge to mark end of Right
Sleeve.

Left Sleeve
Place marker on each edge to mark beg of Left Sleeve.
Work 3 (0) rows even.
Dec Row Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 3, sk next ch2-space, sk next sc, sk next ch2-
space (dec made), sc in next sc, *ch 2, sk next ch2-space, sc in next sc; rep from
* across to last 2 ch2-spaces, ch 3, sk next ch2-space, sk next sc, sk next ch2-
space (dec made), sc in last sc – 10 (15) ch-spaces.
Continue as established, working 5 (3) rows even, then working Dec Row, for 2
(4) times – 6 (7) ch2-spaces. Work 4 rows even. Fasten off.

CUFFS – Make 2
With smaller hook, ch 9.
Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 8 sc.
Row 2 Ch 1, working through back lps only, sc in each sc across.
Rep Row 2 until Cuff measures 7 1/2 (8)" [19 (20.5) cm]. Fasten off.

FINISHING
With right side facing, sew long edge of Cuff to Sleeve end. Fold Shrug in half
lengthwise. Sew Sleeve seams, leaving the middle portion of the Shrug open for
body, adjusting to fit so that Shrug sits and fits snugly around shoulder and back.
Weave in ends.
