go-to person for mentoring others in a variety of different platforms; 
developed policy and practice for successful and responsible technology 
use by staff and students; organized a staff presentation by Darren Laur 
on Internet Safety for Educators.

VICTA Project  2011 - present 


V​ancouver ​I​sland ​C​osmic-ray ​T​ime-coincidence ​A​rray 

● In collaboration with retired UVIC physics professor, Lyle Robertson, 


current UVIC lab instructors and high school physics teachers in the 
Greater Victoria region, UVIC has provided equipment to four high schools 
in Greater Victoria to detect cosmic ray showers, measure the lifetime 
and speed of muons, to perform a test of special relativity, and in 
general to develop an understanding of a radiation detector and how 
subatomic particles are detected. 

SD 61 Scholarship Teachers Collaboration 2018- present 


● Organized a sharing space on Google Classroom for the District’s 
Scholarship 12 teachers to share resources, course outlines, ideas and 
questions 

Physics Resource Sharing  2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 


● Met with the VICTA teachers from Belmont and Parklands to share and 
discuss practices from our own classrooms; met with UVIC physics 
professors, one-on-one to discuss student transitioning between Physics 
12 and First Year University Physics

● Attended workshops given by Gabor Maté (2013) and Gordon Neufeld (2014),

● Organized and chaperoned Physics 11 field trip to Vancouver where 
students conduct physics experiments on the rides; tour of TRIUMF Lab on 
the UBC campus: Canada’s largest particle accelerator; mentored new 
Physics 11 teacher so that the trip continued post-2017
