MONITORING CELLULAR ACTIVITIES USING NEMO OUTDOOR DRIVE TEST TOOL

Objective:

(a) To familiarize with hardware and software for monitoring cellular activities.
(b) To collect and analyze data related to signal quality in outdoor environment.

i Open Nemo Outdoor software

ii Both Garmin GPS and Qualcomm must be connected and started. Select script editor under
measurement tool to configure voice call setup before started the measurement.

iii Set three parameters under voice call setup.

iv Under data tools, click Map then choose New MapX to display the route map.

v To start the measurement, select Start/Stop Scripts

STEPS TO ANALYSE DATA

i Equipment setup for data analysis.

ii At first, select Nemo Outdoor software. To analyse data, click file and choose.

iii Second, choose the drive test data. After choose the file, load the data into the software.

iv Next, choose the parameter the user wants to open. For example, Reference Signal Received Power
(RSRP). Every required parameter can be observed and analysed through line graph and map. In order
to analyse the result for Nemo Outdoor measurement, user need to choose the desired parameter.
Nemo Outdoor can plot and view the result in line graph, map, bar graph and etc. This software can also
display results in numerical value based on the colour indicator.

v The next parameter is Received Signal Code Power (RSCP). Open the RSCP data in line graph and
map. For map observation, click the entire route button to view the actual route.

vi The last parameter is Rx Level Full (Serving). Open the Rx Level Full (Serving) in line graph and map.
For map observation, click the entire route button to view the actual route.

(b) Collect data on the selected route.

(c) Analyze data collected.
(d) Conclusion.
(e) References.
