Part 117

The Tabernacle Which The Lord Pitched!

'''Before we consider the wonderful promise of being a ''pillar'' let us look at the ''temple of God'' in which
the pillars stand. All types and shadows are forever done away when Christ, the reality, comes. The Lord
dwells not in temples made with hands! They are but the shadowy figures of the true. ''What temple will
ye build me?'' saith the Lord. So wherever we see a reference to a temple of the present or the future, it
must refer to ''the true sanctuary, and the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man'' Heb 8:2.
Furthermore, there is only one such tabernacle, or temple. The word nowhere tells of two, or three, or one
hundred, one away off somewhere in space where Jesus is ministering, another in Jerusalem built by the
Jews, and another spiritual one composed of living stones. There is but ONE temple, ONE great High
Priest, and ONE royal priesthood. So when the priests of old served ''unto the example and shadow of
heavenly (spiritual) things,'' those heavenly things were the same that Moses saw in the mount, and the
same heavenly and spiritual things to which we, God's spiritual and heavenly people, have not come, for,
we ''are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem'' Heb 12:22.
None of these are a future reality to be entered into after we die, or after Jesus returns. We ARE COME!
Let us never forget that fact.

More than three thousand years ago Solomon built a magnificent temple of stone and precious
materials. He overlaid it with gold and adorned it with silver. There was no sound of hammer or chisel
or saw, for all of the stones had been carefully made and cut far away, down in Solomon's quarry. The
pillars reflected the light of the Jude-an hills; the great Corinthian brass door shown in the sunlight. So
wonderful was it that the Queen of Sheba stood transfixed at the sight. But the temple built by Solomon
was only a fleeting shadow of the living temple which Christ would build by the Spirit --- a temple not
made by hands!

The tabernacle of Moses in the wilderness and the temple of Solomon upon mount Moriah were
merely shadows of better things to come; merely the natural type of the spiritual reality which Moses saw
in the mount. These never did constitute the TRUE TEMPLE of God! How absolutely clear are the
inspired words of the apostle, ''Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: we have such an
High Priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the
sanctuary and of the TRUE TABERNACLE, which the Lord pitched, and not man!

We are now come to the true! The true temple is the body of Christ. The temple of the Lord is that
vast family of God's sons who are coming to maturity in the image of Christ. It distresses me to hear
preachers constantly proclaiming as fact the old wives' tale that the temple of God must be rebuilt by the
Jews in Israel! Listen to the words of Peter as he presses the golden truth home to the understanding
hearts of the saints. ''If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living
stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, ye also, as living stones, are built up a
spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious:

and he that believes in Him shall not be confounded''. 1Pet 2:3-6.

God will never vacate this heavenly, spiritual temple to return to a temple made with hands. No
temple of God, formed from stones and ornamented with cedar and silver and gold, will ever be rebuilt in
Jerusalem! The notion of a rebuilt temple is a lie that would be humorous, were it not so ridiculous and
absurd. The very thought is a horrible blasphemy! God doesn't go backward in His purposes, nor does
He reinstate the type once the reality has come. The temple that God builds is the temple of which Jesus
spoke to the poor, sinful woman at the well of Sychar. She was quibbling about the place to worship God,
and He said, ''neither in this mountain, NOR IN JERUSALEM, shall ye worship the Father … the hour
cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit (in their own spirits) and
in truth (spiritual reality)'' Jn 4:21-24. And our brother Paul adds this testimony, ''Now therefore ...ye are
built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself
being the chief cornerstone; in whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an HOLY
TEMPLE in the Lord: in whom ye also are built together for an HABITATION OF GOD through the
spirit. Eph 2:19-22.

Over two thousand years ago the Lord Jesus spoke to the house of Judah, saying, ''Behold your house
is left unto you desolate'' Mat. 23:38. This was a pronouncement of doom upon a city and a nation that
had not received its King. He is saying that the presence and the glory and the purpose of God had
departed from Judah. God took His presence even from the Holy of holies in the temple, leaving their
house desolate unto them. Finally, in A.D. 70, He came and destroyed that vacant shell of a building so
that not one stone of it was left was left upon another. He scattered the people of Judah throughout all the
earth, abolished their law and their priesthood, which to this day has never been restored, nor can it be. It
seems to me that when Jesus Christ was anointed with the fullness of the Holy Spirit the presence and
glory of God left the dwelling place in the Holy of holies and came into the first-born Son of God, taking
up His abiding in human flesh. All of those years the priests had been offering sacrifices to God who was
not in His accustomed dwelling place, though they did not know it. He had left He had left His centuries-
old habitation and had moved into a body of flesh, the true temple of God. All of the world was ignorant
of this for we read, ''He was in the world and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not''
Jn 1:10. And again standing before Herod's temple, beholding the stones and the glory thereof, He said
''Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up'' The Jews were furious, demanding, ''Forty and
six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?'' But the record states, '' They
understood not that He spoke of the temple of His body'' Jn 2:19-21.

At the crucifying of Jesus, God drew a curtain of darkness over the earth and blotted out every thing
from sight. Beneath the cover of that dense darkness God tore the temple veil from top to bottom so any
carnal, earthly priest of Aaron's passing order could peer into the Holy of holies, the former abode of God,
and plainly see that God was not there! This Holy of holies was empty. Ah, what must have been the
thoughts of the priesthood as they returned to the temple! What must have been the feelings of the priests
who had remained in the temple! When the darkness had lifted and the desolation seen and they
discovered that they could enter into the Holy of holies and not suffer death! Then they must have known
that something catastrophic had taken place. Surely a deep inward fear seized them. They would not dare
breathe a hint of this to the people! They must hide the facts and continue on with the form of the
sacrifices as though nothing had happened.

God was establishing something entirely new and different. Beneath the cover of darkness God
ripped open that veil and let the whole world see that He had departed, leaving that room empty. It was
desolate, and now this was the beginning of the end for Jerusalem, the temple and its priesthood. And I
want to say again, in spite of what many tell us, WE WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER TEMPLE IN
JERUSALEM! Are we so foolish to even entertain the impious thought that God would allow the
unbelieving Jews to build in Jerusalem another desolate temple? To again institute a priesthood offering
the blood of bulls and goats and calves after Christ has been offered once for all? The very idea is

ludicrous!
We should earnestly consider the following points. (1) Christ our High Priest is now a minister in the
heavenly sanctuary, the true tabernacle. (2) This tabernacle is greater and more perfect than the former
one which was merely a type. (3) This tabernacle is not made with hands, i.e. not something man has
built. (4) Christ has entered into this heavenly tabernacle to purify it with the better sacrifice of His
blood.

Armed with this understanding that we are the temple of the living God, and that Christ is now
ministering in the true tabernacle, which we are, the question follows ---- WHERE is Christ ministering
as High Priest? Into what Holy Place has He entered with His blood? And WHICH HEAVENLY
THINGS has He purified with His own blood? Is Jesus officiating in some literal, material temple in
some far-off heaven somewhere? I do not hesitate to tell you that the answer to this last question is a
resounding NO! The true understanding of Christ's High Priestly ministry and the out working of the
efficacy of His blood is contingent upon our absolute acceptance of the great, irrevocable, and eternal
truth that God has only one temple, the true one, the heavenly one, and WE ARE THAT TEMPLE! That
is the mystery. Truly ''we are come unto mount Zion, and to the blood of sprinkling. That speaks of better
things...'' Heb 12:22-24.

Let us UNDERSTAND! Christ is in heaven ministering as a Priest in the temple, the Holy Place in
heaven! The truth is --- we have been raised up and made to sit together with Christ in the heavens! We
are in Christ! Christ is in us! We are built together, an habitation of God through the Spirit! We are
raised up a building of God, a spiritual tabernacle! WE ARE THE TRUE TABERNACLE WHICH THE
LORD HAS PITCHED, AND NOT MAN! WE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD IN HEAVEN! The above
writings from the beginning to here are all excerpts from the pen of, J. Preston Eby.

Confusion!

Because of a confusion in understanding, for a number of years there has been a great difference of
opinion concerning a temple being rebuilt in Jerusalem. I would now like to present to you some points
of view for your consideration.
''Neither in this mountain, NOR IN JERUSALEM, shall you worship the Father.... the hour
comes, and now is, when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the
Father seeks such to worship him.'' Jn 4:21-24. Please notice ''nor in Jerusalem''.

''Says to her the Jesus: O woman, believe thou me, that comes an hour, when neither in the mountain
this, NOR IN JERUSALEM you shall worship the Father.- - - But comes an hour, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; and for the Father such like seeks those
worshipping him.'' Jn 4:21, 23. Greek Diaglott.

Here are a few words direct from the Aquarian Gospel. ''The hour has come when men must
worship God within the temple of the heart, for God is NOT WITHIN JERUSALEM, nor in the your
holy mount in any way that He is not in every heart. Our God is spirit; they who worship Him must
worship Him in Spirit and in truth''. 81:26-27. The Aquarian Gospel.

We need to realise that today the Lord does not dwell in any temple made with hands. Why? For they
are only the shadow, they are the figures of the true. ''What temple will you build me?'' There is only
one temple in whom God dwells & that is the temple made without hands & this temple is none other
than MAN!. God is not one iota interested in dwelling in any natural building, none whatsoever,
furthermore He has no intention of building another temple as in the O.T. The only building that our
Deity has any interest in is you & I, any person who thinks otherwise is indeed very, very deluded this is
not only my opinion but also of many other most Godly son-ship adherents. ''What temple will you
build for me?''. Plus the scripture would tell us plainly that there is only ONE temple, ONE great High

priest & ONE royal priesthood. We have now come to Mt Zion the city of the living God! Who is that
city? We are that city ''You are a CITY set on a hill for all to see''! Mt 5:14.

''Now therefore … ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ
Himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth into an
HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord: in whom Ye also are builded together for an HABITATION OF GOD
through the spirit. Eph 2:19-22. As Preston Eby has already stated, God will never vacate this temple,
His true habitation, to return to a temple made with hands! May God be praised!

I repeat, NO temple of God formed from stones & ornamented cedar, silver & gold will ever be
rebuilt in Jerusalem, God would be absolutely denying His own word if this ever happened!

No matter how much we believe it, no matter how we long for or wish it, we will never see another
Tabernacle in Jerusalem where men & women will worship God once again.

Misinterpreting The Word Of God!

''Behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious and he that believes in Him shall not be
confounded'' 1Pet 2:3-6.

Once again we would draw your attention to some significant truths in relation to the temple of God.
We will begin with a few passages of scripture from Hebrews, chapters eight and nine.

''Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: we have such an High Priest, who is set on
the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true
tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man'' Heb 8:1-2.

''But Christ being come a High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect
tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building (material creation); neither by the
blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once to the holy place, having obtained
eternal redemption for us'' Heb 9:11-12.

'' It was therefore necessary that the pattern of things in the heavens should be purified with these
(the blood of goats and calves); but the heavenly things themselves (purified) with better sacrifices than
these . For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true;
but into heaven itself...'' Heb 9:23-24.'' J. Preston Eby.

Reinstating The Type After The Reality Has Come!

''Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up again'' Of course this infuriated the Jews &
they retorted by saying, ''It took forty six years to build this temple (sanctuary), and will you raise it up
in three days'', But then we read, ''But He had spoken of the temple which was His body'' Jn 2:19-21.
Amp.
Are we so without reason that we would imagine that God would allow the unbelieving Israelites to
build in Jerusalem another temple that would also be desolate? That these would once again institute that
which would offer the blood of bulls & goats & calves when ''Christ has been offered once for all''?
The very idea is unthinkable & ludicrous to say the least! The below is an extract from our Post 114.

''We now begin to look into & understand the story of the 12 tribes of Israel, a race of people who
were so obsessed with their earthly heritage that if one was not of Abraham's natural seed you were almost
nothing. So hoodwinked were they, they thought the promised seed, the Messiah would only come to the
literal seed of Abraham. What was needed was a drastic thump which is what Jesus gave them in a

number of instances especially in Jn 9:30-34, Concerning the healing of the blind man. Of course this
mindset was not to be broken easily. So as had been prophesied natural Jerusalem, which represented
the type had to be finished once & for all.

''Then turning to the priests and scribes He said, Did not your prophets say, The stone the builders
cast away became the capstone of the arch? You men who pose as men of God, as husband-men, lo, you
have stoned and killed the messengers of God, His prophets and His seers, and now you seek to slay His
Son. I tell you men, the kingdom shall be snatched away from you, and shall be given unto a people who
are not a people now, and to a nation that is not a nation now. And men whose speech you cannot
understand, will stand between the living and the dead, and show the way of life. The chief priests and
the Pharisees were deeply moved with anger when they heard this parable and would have seized the
Lord and done Him harm, but they were sore afraid; they feared the multitude.'' 154: 14-19. The Aquarian
Gospel.

''O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!
How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but
you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not
see Me until the time comes when you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE
LORD!'' Lk 13:34-35. NKJV.

''I personally along with others believe that this last sentence will take place when the man-child
goes into action! But to proceed with our thought Jerusalem was completely burned, sacked & ruined.
Why? So that she could never be rebuilt, this is what God thinks of natural Jerusalem, which in this
case equates to what the unconverted Jew or Israelite adheres to spiritually. Sadly there are some who
are still convinced that she is still important who sadly are sincerely deceived. When those who have kept
the practice of Judaism see the appearing of the blessed corporate man-child & are then willing to say.
''Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord''. This will indeed be a wonderful day!'' This
paragraph which is in inverted commas is from a previous post & supports the stance we are promoting!''
Unquote.

Now with this understanding we realise more fully why we are the temple made without hands! You
are the temple made without hands, you are the city set on a hill, plus you are also the light of the world.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden''. Mt 5: 14. Amp.

We need to make it quite clear that we have nothing against Israel or any Jew, or any person for that
matter. When we consider the fact that since the resurrection no nation has any priority above any
other nation. Now I know that this may offend some but we need to have our eyes opened to the fact
that the only difference that really matters is a new creature in Christ Jesus, no matter our origin. The
new covenant, desires a new creature in Christ, a change of heart is needed & buried deep within this
''new creation man'' is a miracle working identity the ''made in the image of God man'' who is soon
about to amaze the world, the religious, the atheistic & the agnostic.

''It takes a long time for light to break into the shell of prejudice, and patience is the lesson you
have to learn. The constant dripping of the water wears away the hardest stone''. The Aquarian
Gospel. 77:17-18.
Illusion works impenetrable,
Weaving webs innumerable;

The True Force Of Lasting Power Is Love And Peace!

''And Jesus said to them, behold the life of innocence and peace! White is the symbol of the virtuous and
pure! The lamb of innocence; the dove of peace; And it was meet that love should come in human form
amid such scenes as these. Our father Abraham walked through these vales, and on these very hills he
watched his flocks and herds. And here it was that one, the Prince of Peace went forth in battle
everywhere. He had no sword; no armour of defence; no weapons of offence; And yet He conquered men,
and nations trembled at his feet. The hosts of Egypt quailed before this sturdy king of right; the kings of
Egypt placed their crowns upon His head, And gave into his hands the sceptre of all Egypt land, and not a
drop of blood was shed, and not a captive placed in chains; but everywhere the conqueror threw wide the
prison doors and set the captives free. And once again, the Prince of Peace has come, and from these
blessed hills He goes again to fight. And He is clothed in white; His sword is truth; His shield is faith; His
helmet innocence; His breath is love; His watchword peace.'' Chapter 76: 8-20. The Aquarian Gospel;
The above is referring to Melchesedic as well as Jesus Christ.

I would now like to venture somewhat deeper than we have before, concerning the poets of old & the
offspring of God! We have mentioned before as found in the following verses.

''So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He
is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your
[own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring. Since then we are God's offspring, we ought not
to suppose that Deity (the Godhead) is like gold or silver or stone, [of the nature of] a representation by
human art and imagination, or anything constructed or invented. Such [former] ages of ignorance God,
it is true, ignored and allowed to pass unnoticed; but now He charges all people - or all men - everywhere
to repent (to change their minds for the better and heartily to amend their ways, with abhorrence of their
past sins),'' Acts 17:27-30. Amplified.

When we read that ''some of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring''. Who could
this be referring to? I would suggest that it would include men of all nations, for we are informed that
ALL men were created in His image. If you do not believe that all men were created in His image & are
of the opinion that the scripture would tell us that there were more than one race of people on the earth at
that time, one from Adam & another from an earlier creation, I would more than infer that you would
really run into trouble in accepting what we are about to share. The KJV & most other translations would
strongly attest to the fact that ALL MEN were created in the IMAGE OF GOD. The latter day message
would enhance the apostle Peters revelation that we would,

''fully inherit that final salvation that is ready to be revealed (unveiled) in the last time'' 1Pet 1:5b.

Did the sacrifices of our Christ include ALL or some? Jn12:32 would inform us that, ''I will draw
ALL MEN''. In conjunction with this let us peruse the fiat or the decree of Ezekiel concerning the Adam
man,
''All who know you among the peoples are appalled at you; you have come to a dreadful end and
shall be no more forever." Ezek 28:19. English Standard.
The Adam man will in the future be finished once & for all. This is well supported when we read in
John,

''And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL peoples to Myself." Jn12:32. NKJV.

''And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw ALL MEN unto me.'' Jn 12:32. KJV.

Having established that ALL means ALL, over the past AEONS of time there have been many in the
Orient who have had very high & wonderful experiences with their Creator. How would you feel if I told

you that there have been a number of Hindu Christ believers who followed the same loving Saviour as we
do? Would the hackles of bias suddenly arise within us, when we are told this. Keep well in mind the
words; ''I WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME!'' Could this possibly include past & present poets &
other offspring of God whose existence is not in the Western world. Just who would be included in the
offspring of God? Would they be only the Western adherents or would the Orient be included & would
they need to be changed to the Western cultural way of seeing things? Would other nations who would be
part of the poets & offspring in other countries be included? There are many Godly people that love our
Great Deity, - who is within each & everyone of us - who are being drawn to Himself, that many
Australian & American churches would be reticent in holding out a gesture of friendship if those we are
referring to would dare to darken their doorstep!

The Revelation Of George Hawtin!

''How well I remember where I was standing when for the first time in my life Christ began to open my
heart to the secret of His immutability, for the government of the universe and the all inclusive
reconciliation He had made for all things. It was a shock to me to find that though I could quote the
eighth chapter of Romans by heart and most of the book besides, for all this I had never once heard what
the Spirit was saying in its pages until my new found friend, the Lord Jesus Christ, whispered these words
of wisdom: '
''The creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who has subjected the
same in hope.'' Rom. 8:20.
Then I cried out in wonder. ''My God do You mean to say that You are taking the responsibility for the
fall of man?'' For years I taught that Satan alone was the instigator of the fall of the Adamic creation.
Unwittingly I had honoured him as being able to thwart the wisdom of God and despoil His wonderful
purpose and His hope for a perfect creation. But now the Spirit was revealing from the long established
word that ''the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who had subjected
the same in hope.'' This marvellous hope in the heart of the Creator is destined to one day fill the universe
with sons of God, who know and understand all the ramifications of sin and of the fall.''

The above paragraph is directly from the twenty fourth page of ''Learning From Illustrious Men'' by
George Hawtin. Showing us that it is, ''Line upon line, line upon line'' ''here a little and there a little.''
It is a fact that once revelation is received & understood by one it goes into the AER - spiritual air - &
then becomes part of the Spiritual atmosphere. Then the way is open to the spiritually hungry & open
hearted whose ears are tuned, pick it up on the waves of spiritual understanding. Particularly to those who
are truly hungering & thirsting after righteousness, which of course include the deeper things of God!

''And Jesus said, My brothers of the Silent Brotherhood, peace, peace on earth; goodwill to men! The
problem of the ages has been solved; a son of man has risen from the dead; has shown that human flesh
can be transmuted into flesh divine. Before the eyes of men this flesh in which I come to you was
changed with speed of light from human flesh. And so I am the message that I bring to you. To you I
come, the first of all the race to be transmuted to the image of the AM. What I have done, all men will
do; and what I am all men will be. But Jesus said no more. In one short breath He told the story of His
mission to the sons of men, and then He disappeared.'' Chap 176: 26-31. The Aquarian Gospel.

It Is Finished!

We need to be of the understanding that we are able to take possession of everything that we were left in
His last will & testament to us. When we are told that we are rich. Did that mean in our possessions,
''whatever we ask or think'' is part of our inheritance, let us look closely at the following verses.

''So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says
to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that

those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things
you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.'' Mark 11:22-24. NKJV.

''And Jesus, answering, said to them, Have God's faith. Truly I say to you, Whoever says to this
mountain, Be taken up and be put into the sea; and has no doubt in his heart, but has faith that what he
says will come about, he will have his desire. For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request
for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it.'' Mark 11:22-24. Bible in
Basic English.
Do the words ''Have God's faith'' seem beyond us? When we consider, as we have shared before,
buried within every man is the ''secret place of the Most High''. This is of course today meaning
ourselves; Let us realise that in this temple made without hands - which we are - dwells the I AM. This is
what is really meant when we are told that we are told, ''So God created man in His Own Image''. Gen
1:27a.
''I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as
many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to
you.'' Php 3:14-15. NKJV.

''A sixteenth century teacher once wrote: Jesus Christ calls Himself the Light of the world, but did He
not also tell His disciples that they also are the Light of the world.'' All who are created ''In His Image''
have the great potential of realising their true identity: This includes all men, this will occur when the veil
is completely lifted, as George Hawtin in the above indicated,

''For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in
hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious

future that men have to look forward to. In the meantime if we search, hunger & thirst we each one can
begin to experience the love & the grace of God starting today, even as you are reading this article at this
very moment!
