Early learning babybit

babybit early learning programmes are based on the well-

known BIT method. A bit is any information unit presented in
a clear and rapid manner through the senses.

There are key moments in a child's development, the period

during which a child is most receptive to an early learning
programme is between the ages of 0 and 6.. This stimulation
should be adequate, precise and effective to achieve
benefits and progress in the children. Our programmes, by
means of audio-visual stimulation based on bits, meet the
desired requirements and objectives.

The secret and effectiveness of babybit programmes lies in

the sequencing of the contents, as well as the brevity of the
bit presentation, catching the child's attention at all times.
The contents your children will see during the babybit early
learning programme (Volumes 1, 2, 3 & 4) are as follows:

 Mathematic programme: It begins with the notion of

amount by using dots. Then there are maths operations
with dots (addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division) to continue with the assimilation of this notion.

babybit 1
Numbers and operations carried out with them are
introduced later.

 Reading-encyclopaedic programme: starting with

simple words. Then pairs of words followed by simple
sentences and finally stories. Presenting the word with
its associated image facilitates the understanding of
meaning, so the child learns to read more quickly.
Words and images are classified in thematic groups,
thus obtaining better results in the reading programme.

Each babybit DVD contains 15 weeks' programming. One

week's programme contains 15 sessions and each session
has two parts. The first is dedicated to the development of
mathematical knowledge and the second to the development
of reading-comprehension skills. Therefore, when you finish
a babybit DVD, your child will have viewed 225 completely
different sessions, having experienced about 13,000 bits.

General advice for parents:

 We recommend you to sit beside your child and watch
each of the babybit sessions together.

 Whenever possible, it is recommendable to repeat to

your child the words that appeared in the DVD during
the days after viewing each session, applying them to
real and contextualised objects. In this manner your
child will learn to generalise and abstract the images
viewed on the television.

 At the end of the session, it is recommendable for you to

hug and kiss your child showing him/her how happy you
are. This will reinforce learning.

babybit 2
 In the first few weeks, the interval of time between each
viewing should be a few hours (one session in the
morning, one at midday and one in the afternoon, if
possible). In the following weeks this interval may be
reduced if the parent wishes. We recommend an interval
of at least one hour.

 Never use the programme if the child is tired, distracted

or sleepy.

 It is important to create a relaxed and quiet atmosphere

to capture the child's attention. During the session, the
adult should remain silent.

Instructions for using the babybit DVD

The babybit early learning programme comprises four DVDs
(Volumes 1, 2, 3 & 4). Each DVD contains 225 sessions that
comprise the programme for 15 weeks' stimulation. 5 days
are used every week, from Monday to Friday, and each day
has 3 sessions: A, B and C. it is recommended to view the
daily sessions with at least one hour's interval between
them, although it is common to leave more time between
them and to watch one in the morning, another at midday
and the third in the afternoon.

Therefore, we recommend you to start the babybit early

learning programme on a Monday and continue with 3
sessions a day from Monday to Friday.

To facilitate the first contact with the babybit DVD, we will

accompany you while viewing session number one of the
225 in the programme.

babybit 3
Insert the DVD into your player and after a short
presentation you will see the main menu:

in this menu you can choose

the week of the programme
you wish to view, using the
control buttons. In our
example, we have chosen
week 1 and will therefore
press the selection button on
our remote control.

Once the week has been chosen, the corresponding weekly

menu will be displayed. If you have chosen the wrong week,
you can return to the main menu by pressing the "Quit [Exit]"
button.

The weekly menu displays the

15 sessions of the week
organised in three sessions
per day (A, B and C) for 5
days (Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday). In our example, we
have chosen session A for
Monday. Make sure your
children are ready, because the session will begin
immediately!

Note : On the last page of this document you will find a

table to help you carry out a follow-up of the sessions
viewed.

Viewing on different DVD players.
When making our DVDs, we have strictly followed
established standards for DVD discs.

We have tested the babybit early learning DVDs on different

brands and models of players and they have always worked
satisfactorily.

Nevertheless, there could be a possibility of faulty viewing of

the DVD on a specific model of player (Lack of synch
between picture and sound, more than 10 seconds taken to
respond to menu navigation commands, distorted picture...).
If this is your case, please inform us of the anomaly and the
brand and model of your DVD player.

Television system: PAL or NTSC.

On the back of the case and on the disc itself, you can find
the TV system used for recording this DVD. Make sure that
your television and DVD player are compatible with the DVD
format of the disc.

Your TV may be PAL or NTSC, and each country uses one

of these two systems as their standard. Televisions and
DVD players marketed in your country will always be
compatible with the standard television system of the
country. In countries using the SECAM system, all DVD and
TV appliances are compatible with the PAL system.

Nevertheless, there are currently TVs and DVD players on

the market that are able to read both formats: PAL and
NTSC. If this is your case, consult the instructions of the
devices to configure them to the same format as your DVD.
