Etienne Marie). Dedication: ‘to Alain Bermat’. First performance: Paris,
Sorbonne (Richelieu Amphitheatre), 22 May 1950, by Bernard Cottret
(baritone), Mauricio Molho (narrator), and the Orchestre des Cadets du
Conservatoire, conducted by Georges Delerue.
