1 Introduction
Provide relevant background information such as:
History of the relationship
Summary of recent meeting/s
Agreed next steps
2 Arnlea
We have been supporting customers with their inventory, logistics, operations and maintenance
challenges since 1994.
We pioneered the introduction of mobile and AIDC (automatic identification and data capture)
technology across many industries, helping our customers gain significant increases in efficiency and
compliance, allowing them to become more competitive and return greater shareholder value.
With an enviable level of domain experience accumulated over the past 20 years, we continue to
innovate and deliver powerful solutions to our customers and we are recognised as the go-to solution
provider.
Given our expertise with mobile technology solutions, market intelligence and market demands have
led to a significant investment in product development. We have invested over £10m – and continue to
invest – in taking our solutions to the next level.
3 Intrinsix
Intrinsix simplifies the receipt, management and relocation of inventory, the visibility and traceability
of equipment in logistics activities and the history/condition of an asset. This allows for more efficient
and effective inventory, maintenance and inspection strategies. Intrinsix captures inspection results for
any and all equipment and material, including Ex inspections.
Arnlea’s Intrinsix software product suite delivers real operational efficiency, asset integrity and
regulatory compliance, reducing operating costs and improving safety.
Document1 Page 3 of 13
Provides plant operators with the tools to ensure safety and the effective operation and
maintenance of equipment. Intrinsix configurable strategies allow data capture of full asset
inspections from hoses and small bore tubing to lifting equipment and everything in between.
Intrinsix Ex is focussed on the efficient use of equipment through intelligent inspections, including risk
based inspections. Compliant with IEC 60079 standards and ATEX directives, Intrinsix Ex utilises
intrinsically safe handheld technology, providing visibility, accuracy and control, therefore improving
efficiency, reliability and ultimately extending asset life.
Intrinsix Ex allows clients to maintain an accurate and consistent asset register with a demonstrable
inspection history to evidence compliance to Health and Safety inspectors. The register holds accurate
data on the installed ex-equipment and asset located information as well as the current status of the
equipment, which is essential for an effective and streamlined maintenance programme.
4.1 Intrinsix X Benefits
The list below is related to Ex only. List the benefits related to the relevant module/s and/or
component/s here e.g.
Document1 Page 4 of 13
Improved visibility and control of safety and equipment integrity
Reduction in paperwork and carbon footprint
Standardised inspection and reporting processes
Custom inspection periods to ensure equipment is inspected within the planned inspection
period
4.2 Intrinsix X Enhancements
The below enhancements for Ex are applicable to V2 only. This section only applies where there is an
upgrade to a current product e.g.
Intrinsix Ex is the result of a wide variety of enhancements of Arnlea’s InspectEx product and represents
the first major release of the Ex inspection product for a number of years. The major enhancements are
detailed below however, with these changes comes a more detailed product, modernised in line with
client centred feedback and updated to pave the way for future development, as part of the wider Arnlea
development roadmap. Major Intrinsix Ex Enhancements include:
Enhanced User Interface (UI) allowing faster navigation and report generation
Online reporting module giving visibility of inspections status across asset base to senior
management
Rolling inspection periods to ensure equipment is inspected within the planned inspection
period
Visualisation of inspection timeframe alarms and thresholds for individual tags, areas and
work orders
Enhanced data filtering and export facility resulting in an improved user experience
Enhanced user profiles and inspection mode allocation giving the customer control of their
own templates and users
Application framework development utilising Telerik controls which enables the application
to be modernised now and into the future
Range of bug fixes increasing stability of the product
4.3 Intrinsix X Pricing
Summarise here what is covered in this proposal. Delete what is not applicable.
The scope of this proposal is for the provision of Intrinsix Ex system licences, related deployment
services and associated specialist equipment.
The owner of the licence will be customerX and therefore support is provided to customerX as part of
the Intrinsix Ex licence fee and as per the Arnlea Support Services User Guide.
Document1 Page 5 of 13
5.1 Future Upgrades and Modifications to Software
Provided the proposal offers a standard licence-to-use model, the upgrades and modifications should be
standard i.e.
We propose a new licence model that entitles customerX to any and all upgrades – major and minor –
to the Intrinsix X (note specific module/s and/or component/s here) system and Intrinsix handheld
software as it becomes available in accordance with Arnlea’s product roadmap. User enhancements
will be assessed for inclusion into a future release of the product, however Arnlea can provide a separate
quotation for the fast-track development of a customer’s immediate requirement.
Additional service days may be required for the deployment of upgraded software, please refer to
Services.
5.2 Deployment Methodology
In conjunction with the Technical team, plan and describe the deployment methodology here e.g.
Arnlea propose the following methodology for deployment to customerX for Intrinsix X, per asset.
1. Procure hardware
2. Kick off meeting
3. Requirements workshop/s
4. Receive full register data
5. Data cleanse
6. System configuration
7. Data load and testing
8. Documentation
9. Install system on test environment
10. UAT
11. Install system on production environment
12. User Training
13. Go Live
14. Post Go Live support
It is important that the system is tested to the satisfaction of customerX prior to the system being
promoted to Production, to ensure a smooth transition to the upgraded system. Close co-ordination
with customerX IT will be required throughout the deployment.
As the upgrade of the system will mostly be done remotely, there is no requirement for go live support,
as support will be provided as standard as part of the contract.
Arnlea will be responsible for the project management of this scope of work and will work closely with
customerX throughout the deployment.

6 Commercial Terms
Refer to standard price book or note customerX specific commercial offering in this section.
6.1 Licences
Number of Licences Monthly Cost per Licence

6.2.2 Training
There are 2 types of training which a client typically requires for installation of Intrinsix Ex:
Document1 Page 7 of 13
Notes:
1. Training days are charged at Arnlea’s standard day rate of £1,000.
2. The number of days training will be determined by the client dependent on the number and
availability of trainees.
6.2.3 Service Notes
Services are on the basis of a standard 7.5 hour working day, Monday to Friday, excluding local or
national holidays. Unless otherwise specified, services are assumed to be performed at Arnlea or
onshore client premises. If offshore Services are required, Arnlea’s offshore day rate is £1,200 and
travel day rate is £600 (on days where no services are performed).
Service costs are exclusive of travel, accommodation and meal expenses. These will be charged at cost
plus a 5% mark-up to cover administration and credit costs.
6.3 Specialist Equipment & Consumables
List here specific hardware as required by the client or recommended/proposed by Arnlea e.g.
We have provided prices for a variety of Intrinsix Ex compatible hardware, including HF (High
Frequency) and LF (Low Frequency) tags and mobile devices. We understand the benefits that are
experienced by using devices such as the Smart-Ex smartphone and Tab-Ex tablet, including larger
screen and memory, enhanced user interface, camera capability, not to mention significant cost savings.
However, it is important to highlight that the RFID capability in these devices is restricted to NFC,
which enables HF tags to be read at touching distance and no more than 1cm distance. In an industrial
environment, it may not be very practical to expect direct contact with every tag in the field. Ultimately
it is your decision to determine the required read range, but it is our current recommendation to utilise
technology that allows a longer read range by purchasing devices together with the separate RFID reader
(see item 19).
The table below defines the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for each item however, additional
discounts may be available for higher quantities at time of purchase and you should receive a formal
quotation from Arnlea prior to issuance of any Purchase Order.
