SQUARE WAVE OSCILLATOR USING NAND GATE Group-B

Aim :- To study square wave oscillator using NAND gates.
Apparatus :- NAND gates ( IC 7400 ), C.R.O., 5 volt power supply, resistors and
capacitor and connecting wires.
Circuit Diagram:

R2  10R1 or high value

Procedure:-
1) Connect the circuit and write down the components values.
2) Switch on D.C power supply , observe the output wave form on CRO.
3) Measure the period and amplitude Vo(P-P) of square wave at . Trace the waveform.
4) Observe the waveform at the input and output of first NAND gate and trace the
waveform.
5) Calculate period of the output T = 2.2R1 C. Compare it with the period observed T.
6) Repeat step 3 to 5 for two different values of R1 and/or C.
