Subject: Clarification of Fire Hydrant Design

This refers to your letter CHEC-CGC/GCWMP03/01.01/O/189 dated 28th August 2017 regarding the
above subject.
As per the discussion and site inspection with CMC and your staff, part of proposed pillar type fire
hydrant locations were inspected on 01st September 2017. Accordingly CMC has inspected all
locations and the CMC Fire Service Department has confirmed the pillar type Fire Hydrant
requirement and the locations. Please see the attached letter dated 18th September 2017 forwarded by
CMC Fire Service Department.

Therefore, we confirm the above fire hydrant locations subject to any further comments given by CMC
Fire Service Department.

02. The locations that are not suitable are marked "X" in red on the plan and suitable
locations are given.

03. For easy identification location are numbered according to the list.

04. When installing Hydrant Points in suitable locations away from the road and
protected places shall be considered and possibility of parking Fire Vehicle at the
Hydrant Point also to be considered.

05 . The list of locations provided is approved subject to the above facts .
