Satisfaction Survey
1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE TOOL

Many surgical procedures, including relatively simple procedures, cannot be performed in Libyan hospitals due to
limitations in capacity and resources. Under ACTED’s 14 CUJ project, young surgeons working in surgical departments
around the country will be targeted for a series of trainings focused on improving surgical gestures. The first series of
trainings was recently completed (June 28th – July 7th 2018); 16 surgeons receive technical trainings from experts in
Association THORAX (A French association of surgeons) in Poitier, France for 10 days. As this is the first of several
trainings planned for health professionals under 14 CUJ, the AME team will undertake interviews with participants to
understand the participant’s perspective of how successful the training was and to provide recommendations for
trainings that are planned for upcoming months.

Key Informant Interview question guide has been designed to gather data on the perception of health professionals who
participated in the 14 CUG project 1st under RE3.

AMEU shall complete a minimum of 5 interviews by the 18th of July. Specifically, this monitoring / evaluation activity
intends to collect information about the perceived effectiveness and efficiency of trainings organized in France,
cooperation between all representatives (ACTED and international partners such as CHU), and to identify strengths as well
as shortcoming area for improvements. More specifically, tool aims to:
 Identify if new technical skills participants learned through the training
- if so, identify which ones, see if skills are pertinent for Libyan context
 Identify strong points of the trainings and suggestions for improvement in the future
 Explore perceptions of participants related to ACTED and international partner’s FAM professionalism during
communication of activities

As much detail should be collected and recorded as possible. AME should reiterate that they are independent and that
they should be comfortable giving information (even if negative), and that ultimately it is intended to improve
programming.
