Oklahoma hatcheries set 8.11 million eggs in
incubators during the week ending July 7, up
6 percent from the week prior and 8 percent above
the previous year.
The number of chicks placed for meat production
during the week of July 7, was 4.05 million, up
7 percent from the previous week, but down
3 percent from the previous year.
Texas hatcheries set 16.9 million eggs in incubators
during the week ending July 7, down slightly from the
week prior, but up 2 percent from the previous year.
The number of chicks placed for meat production
during the week of July 7, was 13.4 million, down
1 percent from the previous week, but up 3 percent
from the previous year.
