1 IT WELCOME KIT

We welcome you on behalf of IT team. This document is designed to provide some quick details
and responses to few frequently asked questions. Please go through this document and if you
have any queries / suggestions then please write to us at fc.in.it.servicedesk@in.fujitsu.com

1.1 HOW TO RAISE IT SUPPORT REQUEST?

 IT Support is categorized as below:


 IT Service Desk (Voice Support)
 IT Computing Team (Desktop, Servers and Network)
 IT Operations (IT asset allocation and telecom)
 Enterprise Applications
We have dedicated Voice Based Support. Please use 24x7 Service Desk @1828 and
+91 20- 66331828 if call is made from outside, Email us at fc.in.it.servicedesk@in.fujitsu.com

 IT Item Request : For any new hardware issuance, extension of asset e.g., Laptop,
Data card and other assets
 IT Service Request: For listed IT Services, which are not categorized as technical
issues

 Support Working Hours for IT Computing Team:


 Normal Support Hours 9.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M on Weekdays
 Extended Support Hours 6.00 P.M to 6.00 A.M on Weekdays
 Weekend Support / Company Holidays

1.2 WHAT IS DOMAIN ID, HOW CAN I USE THEM.
We have two AD Environment (1. India 2. G09)

 INDIA: India credential is to login to system, Dwaar, ReqTrack Repository access, Ф (fi)
connect
 G09: G09 ID is login credential to access Fujitsu email, Webapp, GDC Connect, Navigator,
OTL, Eportal, MS Lync & GKE website

1.3 HOW TO RESET DOMAIN PASSWORDS


Self Service module is available on homepage of ReqTrack to reset the Passwords for
India and G09 domains.

1.4 HOW CAN I INSTALL FREQUENTLY REQUIRED SOFTWARE’S

1.5 WHAT ARE THE FREQUENTLY USED LINKS?

 VIP Access is a two factor authentication and it is required to connect to FCI resource
through Fi-Connect

 Associates have to install VIP Access either on Smart Phone, Laptop or Desktop to
generate password tokens. It is recommended to install VIP access on Smart Phone

1.7 WHAT IS DWAAR?


Dwaar is our Common portal for communication and knowledge, collaboration &
communication portal from where you can get navigated to all applications.

IT portal provides centralized access to all IT resources, issues or tickets logged, asset details
allocated, policies/procedures and access to frequently asked questions

1.9 WHERE CAN I STORE BUSINESS DATA?


1.6.1 Home folder
 Always keep important individual official data on a central server.
 Home folders have been created for all users in order to allow all individuals to store
important user specific data.
 Data stored on this folder is workstation independent.
 Storage limit for home drive is 500 MB.
 Home Drive will show in all users system (My Computer (H): Drive)

1.6.2 Project Repository: Data and SVN Repository


 Always keep important individual project data on a central server.
 Rights on the folder and folder path will be provided by Project Owners

1.10 HOW CAN I CONFIGURE MY OWN PRINTER?

 For Pune Users Select Run from Command prompt and type \\fc-pun01-rico
 For Noida Users Select Run from Command prompt and type \\fc-del01-ps01
 For Hyderabad Users Select Run from Command prompt and type \\fc-hyd01-ps01
 For Bangalore Users \\FC-BANG01-PS01

1.13 HOW CAN I DO INSTANT MESSAGING WITHIN FUJITSU?


Microsoft Lync is instant messaging software available to all the users to communicate with other
users.
Features of Lync:
 Online meeting within Fujitsu network
 Outlook calendar integration
 Instant messaging (One to one as well as multi-party) with other Fujitsu Regions.

1.14 HOW TO DO BUDDY SEARCH?


Search options to find our co employees
 Dwaar : Type the name to be searched in search box on homepage of Dwaar, results will
be displayed.
 Outlook: Click on Employee Name, all relevant details will be displayed
 Lync: Click on Contact and type the employee name to be searched
 Reqtrack: Search the co employees through Employee directory in Reqtrack

1.15 HOW CAN I ACCESS MY EMAILS WHEN I AM NOT IN THE


OFFICE?

1.17 HOW CAN I REPORT THE VIRUS/SECURITY INCIDENT?


If you suspect any presence of Virus in your PC, Disconnect your PC from the network
immediately and do not switch off the machine.
 Contact Service Desk @1828 and report the same.
 Please do not try to remove the Virus on your own.
 Please do not shutdown the system or run any application or data files

1.18 WHAT IS PASSWORD POLICY?


 The password should be minimum eight characters long having alphanumeric & both
upper and lower case
 Do not reveal your account password to others including IT team
 All passwords (e.g., email, web, desktop computer, etc.) must be changed at least every
45 days

1.19 WHAT IS THE SECURITY ON MY SYSTEM?


 The following securities have been implemented on your system which you cannot alter at
any time.
o Content Management software will allow only authorized business websites on
Internet at FCIPL campus
o Allowed 10 MB download in a day
o DLP is Information security software installed on all the systems which are owned
by FCIPL
o This software will not allow you to connect any secondary media storage to any
desktop and laptop at FCIPL
o External media is not allowed in office campus e.g. Pen drive, digital camera,
External hard drives, personal laptops etc.

1.20 HOW TO ACCESS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION ON INTERNET


WITHIN FUJITSU CAMPUS
 Net cafe facility is available at each location for internet access.
 Public Mails, Secured Social sites, News and Sports sites are accessible.
