ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

(Judicial Review of Executive Action)

Office Hours: Monday – Thursday, 14:00 – 16:00

Course Description: This course shall examine the doctrinal foundations and the
jurisprudence of Pakistan’s superior courts while conducting ‘judicial review’ of
executive action. The students have earlier been introduced to the concept of judicial
review of legislation in Constitutional Law I and III. This course shall focus primarily on
the exercise of the so-called ‘writ jurisdiction’ by the High Courts under Article 199 of
the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973.

Grading:
