Mission Statement
“To empower women around the world with a career that
really works using products that really work.”
SeneGence is dedicated to the success of its Distributors by supporting you with the highest
standards of ethics, products, and technologies available, as well as promoting the concept
and execution of SeneSenergy.
SeneSenergy: To abundantly empower others to promote success and growth, and in doing
so, re-energizing your own.
Evolution of SeneGence
SeneGence is a privately owned, direct sales company that is in the business of developing
and selling personal care products through an independent sales network. In April 1999,
SeneGence opened for business with only 6 lip colors, a lip moisturizing gloss and a lip
color remover. LipSense Liquid Lip Color was its premier product. SeneGence now has a
complete long-lasting cosmetic color line, anti-aging skin care, and body care.
The company will continue to utilize its unique ingredients and technologies for further
development of new and exciting ‘products that really work’ for our Distributors to sell.
Expansion into the international market began with the opening of Canada in November
2001, and Australia in February 2003.
Through the efforts of Founder, CEO and Chairwoman, Joni Rogers-Kante and the
organization of Independent Distributors, SeneGence has become a recognized brand
name and international leader of long-lasting, anti-aging color cosmetics and skin care in
the cosmetics and beauty industry.
This manual was written for you by me hoping it will help you better understand how fantastic our
product line REALLY IS … and therefore HOW HUGE OUR OPPORTUNITY REALLY IS!
I felt compelled to define OUR products and our product ingredients one-by-one and explain why
these beauty products REALLY DO work on our skin; so then we together better understand the
significance of our formulations and make it easier for you to explain to Customers and Downline
Distributors why our products are superior to others found in the marketplace.
Have you ever experienced watching people try to sell some product that they themselves do
not understand? It is exhilarating to observe a person who is very knowledgeable about his/her
product(s) and obviously believes in the product and presents the items to a potential buyer who
has pertinent questions; the wealth of knowledge and belief in the product demonstrated by the
seller is ‘infectious’ and changes that doubting consumer into a transformed believer and buyer.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER AND I WANT YOU TO BE VERY POWERFUL!
This manual serves as a learning reference guide and does not need to be read in one sitting. I
recommend reading sections two through four to best understand the premises upon which our
entire product line is built to help make skin more beautiful. Then on an ‘as needed’ basis turn to
each product and ‘study-up’.
Written from a novice and therefore easy-to-understand point-of–view; each beauty product contains:
• Title and Description of the Product
• The Science Behind the Product
• Key Ingredients and Benefits
• Directions for Use
Most importantly, your knowledge of the SeneDerm and SenseCosmetic product lines will help you
make the lives of women all over the world better because when their skin is moist and luminous, is
devoid of unnecessary fine lines and wrinkles, and when their color cosmetics are beautifully applied
and blended they feel more beautiful, vibrant, and radiant from head to toe.
“SeneSenergy: To abundantly empower others to promote success and growth, and in doing
so, re-energizing your own.”

What are the right products needed to care for your skin?
Products that help rather than harm your skin. Products that are tested for results.
Since the beginning of time, mankind has explored the clinical applications of natural
substances (botanical extracts) with impressive results. It is known and recorded that
the ancient Chinese, Egyptian, and Babylonian cultures had knowledge of drugs and the
compounding of botanicals for pharmaceutical and cosmetic use.
Can you ever get back that ‘young’ skin? No, for you will never be a baby again. But with
the right choices you can slow down the aging process and get the best skin your body
can offer. We see the second sign of the skin’s aging process in the puffiness we find as
we awake in the morning. Why is this? Well, it is because water is in our skin. Our skin is
a living, breathing organ made up of billions of cells floating in a watery, salty liquid. This
liquid makes up about 70% of our body. Of this 70%, more than one third of it is found in
the skin. Water always gravitates to stationary areas. When we sleep, the water in our facial
skin settles under the eyes.
As we start moving and putting our body in motion, the puffiness disappears, because the
water is reabsorbed throughout the skin. In our late 20s, this re-absorption doesn‘t happen
as naturally any longer. For over 20 years, the delicate under eye tissue has been stretching
to accommodate these fluids. Now, this helpful accommodation has weakened the tissues
and the skin starts to sag. By our 30s, because cellular regeneration is slowing down, fine
lines and wrinkles may begin to appear.
By our 40s (even our 30s at times), fat loss may begin; resulting in excess skin that arranges
itself in sags and folds. The initial signs are horizontal lines across the forehead and some
droopiness of the eyelids. Loss of fat in the cheeks can cause the formation of puffy jowls
on each side of the chin and lips may thin. And something else is added to the first signs of
sagging ... the skin causes shadows, which eventually become dark circles under the eyes.
The aging process has NOW begun.
By our 50s, postmenopausal epidermal cell generation slows by almost 50%. The skin
then becomes thinner and less flexible. There is less collagen and elastin in the skin. It is
now less able to repair damage or retain its critical moisture level. Also, at this time, the
sebaceous glands (the glands the teens hate and adults love because of their oil discharge)
begin cutting back their discharge of oil. Now, the oil that has previously coated the skin
and locked in its moisture diminishes. With the diminished supply of these oils, the skin
becomes more dry and wrinkles are more evident. The skin becomes more transparent and
bruises easily. And then, this leads to more wrinkles and more sag. We all have either seen
this happen or will see it happen. This we can’t stop. The aging process of the skin is a fact
of life. But we can slow it down. How? Through knowledge about what the skin is and how
it works. Armed with this knowledge, we have the ability to choose the best products and
habits for our skin’s optimum health and beauty.
Although the average thickness of your skin is 1/10 of an inch, it ranges from the very thin
top of the eyelids and inner folds of the elbows, to the very thick on the palms of your
hands and soles of your feet. It is classified as an organ because it consists of tissues
structurally joined together to perform specific activities. It is not just a simple covering; skin
covers our body’s entire surface and protects our internal organs from the elements and the
environment. In other words, it keeps the insides in and the outsides out. Separating these
two aspects is an important job.
The skin reacts to everything that touches it and much of what touches it adversely affects
it; many ingredients used daily are harmful to the health and appearance of our skin: daily
lifestyle, exposure to sun and pollution, poor eating habits, and the environment in general
are major contributors that damage our cells and result in the signs of aging.
Additionally, products containing harmful chemicals add to the advancement of the aging
process. This is the baby boomer generation. As this generation ages, it will focus on
minimizing the signs of aging skin, as well as protecting the skin from further damage. And
in this era of cosmetics, we are better equipped than ever before to deal with skin conditions
associated with aging, including hyper-pigmentation, hormonal fluctuations, and damage
from sun exposure, dehydration, disorders, adult acne, and increased hypersensitivity.
The list of potentially harmful exponents could be overwhelming if our skin wasn’t such a
finely honed machine of layers, each layer working both independently and interdependently.
The first layer is the Epidermis. The epidermis is the purely cellular layer of skin. It is the
thinnest skin layer but also the strongest layer. It forms the outer, protective barrier of the
skin. (This includes the hair, toenails, and fingernails.) It consists of cells, which protect us
from ultraviolet radiation, form part of the immune system, and intercept foreign substances
that try to pass through. It also contains cells that produce the pigment melanin, which
determines the color of your skin. In addition, the epidermis has numerous nerve endings,
which make the skin into a sensory organ that detects hot, cold, light, taste, touch, and can
show emotions (turn pale or blush).
It is where old cells are sloughed off and new cells take their place. In the approximately
20-30 days it takes for new cells to move upward to the outer surface, nourishment of these
epidermal layers is provided by tissue fluids which diffuse up from the spaces among the
cells of the dermis, the next layer. As the cells move away from their source of nourishment,
they become smaller and flatter, changing into a lifeless protein called keratin. Once on the
surface, they remain briefly as a protective cover and then flake off as a result of washing
and friction, thus constantly being replenished.
The next layer, the Dermis is a thick, supple, sturdy layer of connective tissue. It makes
up about 90% of the skin’s thickness and is the skin’s layer most affected by the aging
process. It is where the fibrous “support system” of the skin, the collagen and elastin, (two
connecting types of protein) is housed. It is made up of the blood vessels, lymph vessels,
nerves and sensory receptors (which give us our ability to feel and have sensations), sweat
glands (which cool the body), and oil glands: the oil or sebaceous glands are responsible for
Since the skin is almost 70% water, this moisture absorbing attribute of collagen is important.
It is the collagen in our bodies and especially in our faces, which provide the skin with a soft,
moist, webbed cushion that not only gives it plumpness but also gives it the ability to stretch
and fold as your body and face moves. The younger we are the more natural collagen our
bodies have.
The collapsing of collagen is what contributes to the wrinkling and sagging of the skin. If you
think of these fibers as the framework within your skin, you can understand what happens
when this supporting structure falls down. The dermis actually caves in and the effect on
the skin’s surface is a wrinkle. Under the dermis is the deepest layer of the skin, composed
primarily of fat. It manages the skin’s functions of feeding, excreting and heat exchange.
These fat cells serve as a heat insulator for the body, act as a shock absorber against
mechanical trauma and help give the skin resilience. Our sweat glands originate in this layer
and excrete waste matter through perspiration. They also control the body’s temperature by
perspiration evaporating from the surface of the skin.
It is the contraction of the muscles in the Dermis that creates “Goosebumps.” (An interesting
fact is that among mammals, only humans and marine mammals, such as dolphins and
whales, have this layer.)
Earlier we mentioned a sloughing off process in the epidermis. That process is so vitally
important and warrants more discussion. Our skin is the largest living and breathing organ.
So, how does our living, breathing skin become such a strong protection for us? The answer
is our outer layer of skin, the Epidermis, is not alive! It’s composed entirely of dead cells.
These dead cells are hard and strong enough to withstand almost anything that doesn’t
actually slice through it (bumping, scraping, or knocking around).
Another miraculous process occurs. Young, living cells are produced in the dermis. As
newer cells are born or produced, the older, more mature cells get pushed towards the
epidermis. While this movement is happening, the mature cells suddenly start producing
Keratin, the same hard substance found in our hair and nails, which are composed of dead
cells (because keratin is not a living substance). As the keratin production becomes more
powerful and starts to replace the collagen (the soft part of the living cell), the cell gets
harder and harder just like our nails.
By the time the cell travels from the dermis to the epidermis, it contains enough keratin to
protect our bodies from the elements: the wind, sea, or rain. The keratin is also especially
helpful in absorbing the harmful ultraviolet rays before they penetrate the skin’s surface.
Finally, its mission being fulfilled, the cell then dies and is sloughed off to make room for the
next wave of growing cells. Now you see that the very protective epidermis is nothing more
than an accumulation of dead cells that have been pushed up, ready for shedding. In fact,
did you know that 90% of household dust is sloughed off dead skin cells?
The skin must slough off these dead cells. Continual cellular and tissue regeneration
determines the health and vitality of the skin. If allowed to excessively accumulate, these
Although the term epidermis is frequently used as a synonym for the skin, it is actually the
name of the outer most layers only. Two layers of the skin lie beneath – the dermis and the
subcutaneous tissue.
The Epidermis
The epidermis is made of four layers, each of which performs important functions:
• Stratum Corneum–The outer coating of the epidermis consisting of compacted
dead cells called keratin, a dried out protein. This is the layer we feel and see.
• Stratum Granulosum–Beneath the stratum corneum, it acts as the feeder of dead
or dried out keratinocytes (skin cells) to the stratum corneum.
• Squamous Cell Layer–It functions as a transport medium for water and contains the
most abundant cells of the skin, squamous cells. This layer produces the cells for
the outermost layer, the stratum corneum.
• Basal Cell Layer–The lowest layer of the epidermis, and produces the squamous
cells and houses melanocytes. Melanocytes are cells that make melanin, the
skin pigment.
Skin Alert:
Melatonin protects your skin from sun damage. The darker your natural skin color is, the
more resistant it is to damage from the sun. Skin darkened by sun exposure does not count;
it does not provide more protection from sun damage. Cells of the basal layer take about
two weeks to migrate upwards to the stratum corneum. There they are compacted and after
another two weeks, they are shed. Thus, the usual turnover time of the epidermis is about
one month.
The Dermis
The second layer of skin is made up of three different types of skin fibers:
• Collagen–The backbone of the dermis, making up 70% of its weight and providing
most of its strength. Wrinkles form in the skin when collagen is depleted.
• Reticulum–The fibers that help link bundles of collagen together.
• Elastin–Fibers that help the dermis remain pliable.
Hydrating skin and keeping it hydrated requires daily attention. The moisture content of
the skin can change from day-to-day. The moisture content of the skin is directly affected
by daily food and liquid intake, smoking, nutrition, and medications. Some days your skin
may require additional moisture due to the combined circumstances of the previous day’s
experiences. Learn to “listen to your skin.” If it feels dry, it needs extra moisture for the day.
Their discovery about the importance of eating citrus fruit took place long before vitamin C
had been isolated or named. Eventually, medicine became more aware of the role nutrition
plays in skin health and disease. A few examples of some of the most common modern
skin-related problems are:
• Lack of vitamin A causes dry eyes and skin
• Lack of niacin could lead to pellagra and dermatitis
• Lack of riboflavin produces cracked lips and groin rashes
• Lack of vitamin B6 causes seborrheic dermatitis on the face
• Lack of vitamin B12 results in hand rashes
Improper dietary intake is not the only reason for nutritional or caloric deficiencies. The
word malnutrition is often thought to refer to an insufficient quantity and variety of food,
mostly due to poverty and economic and/or social underdevelopment, and sometimes to
eating disorders.
However, malnutrition really refers to more than insufficient nutritional or caloric intake; it
includes nutritional deficiencies caused by modern day indulgent habits such as alcoholism,
All of these diseases, and the consequences of these diseases, play a major role in the
deterioration and aging of our skin from lack of proper nutrition and improper moisture
content required to reproduce healthy skin cells.
Further studies indicate accelerated dehydration and aging of the skin as a result of
the sun’s rays mixing with the skin of individuals whose bodies do not contain a proper
nutritional structure.
Skin Alert
• As the ozone layer of our atmosphere decreases, skin cancers will increase radically
in upcoming years. That makes the use of various types of sunscreen hypercritical.
• Sun damage is accumulative. But, it may be possible, by avoiding the sun for a
period of years and applying protective moisturizers, to actually reverse the damage
induced by the sun’s rays.
• The most susceptible people to skin cancer are fair skinned, blue-eyed, red-haired,
blonde, Scotch-Irish, Celtic, Nordic, and Scandinavian peoples. For these people,
a little bit of sun can be deadly.
• Reflected sun can sizzle your skin even faster than direct sunlight. Consider this
when you are outside around water, white sand, or any highly reflective surface.
Protective clothing, hats, SPF (Sun Protection Factor) protection should be used daily
by men, women, and children alike, to help combat the growing number of skin cancers
diagnosed every year.
Look In The Mirror First Thing In The Morning. Take A Good Look.
Adult acne affects 25% of all men and 50% of women at some time in their adult lives. People
can develop unpleasant acne or have an acne recurrence in their 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond.
Dermatologists find themselves seeing more adult acne patients than in previous decades.
An article in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science stated, “Recent epidemiological
studies show that there appears to be an increase in post-adolescent acne, and that the
disease is lasting longer and is requiring treatment well into the mid forties. Regardless of
when someone struggles with acne, it can be difficult to cope, and can cause depression
and social anxiety in an adult the same way it can in a teen.”
What is Acne?
Acne is a chronic disorder of the hair follicles and sebaceous glands. Some of the
characteristics of acne include black heads, pimples, cysts, infected abscesses, and rarely
scarring. Acne usually occurs during adolescence in both men and women. To be more
specific, acne starts during puberty and tends to get worse for people with oily skin.
Symptoms of Acne
The common symptoms of acne include persistent, recurrent red spots or swellings on the
skin known as pimples. Some of the other symptoms include dark spots with open pores at
the center, which are known as blackheads, bulged spots under the skin without openings,
which are known as whiteheads, and red swellings or lumps filled with pus, which are known
as pustules. Inflamed fluid-filled lumps under the skin known as cysts are also a symptom
of acne. These cysts can become as large as an inch across.
Two main types of acne include non-inflammatory acne and inflammatory acne.
Non-inflammatory Acne
Closed Comedo: If the plugged follicle stays
below the surface of the skin, the lesion is
called a closed comedo. This usually appears
on the skin as small, whitish bumps. This
condition is otherwise called a whitehead.
Open: If the plug enlarges and pushes through the surface of the skin, the lesion is
called an open comedo. The dark appearance of the plug is not due to dirt, but due
to the buildup of melanin, the pigmentation element of the skin. This condition is
otherwise called a blackhead.
Inflammatory Acne
There are many indicators for inflammatory Acne:
Cyst: These are large pus-filled lesions that are usually present deep within the skin.
The cysts are very painful lesions, as they are inflamed.
Cysts form as a result of the contents of a comedo
spilling over the surrounding skin and due to the
Acne Conglobata: This is a rare but serious form of inflammatory acne that develops
primarily on the back, buttocks, and chest. In addition, to the presence of pustules
and cysts, there may be severe bacterial infection.
Secondly, the cells are shed more rapidly and they stick together,
plugging the opening of the hair follicle, resulting in ‘white heads’. The
pigment melanin in the white heads when exposed to air, forms black
heads.
Your skin is oily or acne prone when you note an all over shiny appearance and oily feel
throughout the day. Skin tone reflects discoloration variances, blemishes often or occasionally,
whiteheads, blackheads, and enlarged pores.
Dry skin can be extremely uncomfortable and subject to premature wrinkling. If your skin
looks and feels tight (especially after cleansing), and is “thin,” flaky, or papery with fine
pores, has a dull texture, is prone to broken veins on the cheeks, has dry patches on the
throat, cheeks, and temples, and can react by becoming red and blotchy, you have DRY
skin. Your skin will develop lines more easily than other skin types.
By adding moisture, it is possible to return dry skin to its most balanced state: soft, supple,
and glowing. If your skin is determined to be dry, the SeneDerm formulation for Normal-To-
Dry would be used. The advanced vitamin and botanical formula promotes hydration and
moisture retention. A good rule of thumb is, unless skin is very oily, use this formula after age
30, as our skin becomes drier with age.
One is served well when one learns to ‘listen to your skin’ because fortunately, most dry skin
results from environmental factors that can be wholly or partially controlled. These include
exposure to hot or cold weather with low humidity levels and excessive bathing. Thankfully
you can take steps to improve your skin, including using good moisturizers, bathing less
and avoiding harsh, drying soaps.
If you have dry skin, you’re likely to experience one or more of the following:
• A feeling of skin tightness, especially after showering, bathing or swimming
• Skin that appears shrunken or dehydrated
• Skin that feels and looks rough rather than smooth
• Occasional to frequent itching
• Slight to severe flaking, scaling or peeling
• Fine lines or cracks
• Redness
Dry skin requires products that deliver extra doses of moisture, essential oils and nutrients,
and protection from the environmental hazards. SeneDerm Dry should be the product line
of choice for this skin type.
Exfoliants or refiners are meant to be used after surface grime and makeup has been removed
from the skin, and their function is to remove the most superficial layers of the epidermis
from the skin, leaving a smoother, fresher surface underneath while preparing the skin to
receive the next step. The purpose of a toner is to remove the last traces of a cleanser,
natural oils, and grease from sebaceous and hair follicle pores. Quality toners will restore the
skin’s natural pH balance, enabling the skin’s natural defense system to help protect it from
environmental toxins and bacteria.
STEP 2: Moisturizing
All skin needs to be moisturized. It is essential in maintaining youthful and healthy skin. The
natural oils in your skin stop dehydration, but if there is too little oil the skin becomes dry and
flaky. Moisturizers correct this imbalance. They attract and deflect moisture and also act as
a barrier against outside elements. The advanced hydrating and moisture retention process
of SeneDerm with SenePlex Complex skin care system provides environmental protection
while nourishing the skin.
High-grade moisturizers are a delivery system that deliver ingredients to the skin that help
maintain the moisture on the skin and in the pores using humectants that binds to the skin.
Moisturizers may be formulated with cosmetic grade waters and other beneficial ingredients
and are only beneficial if the delivery system within the cream or lotion is effectively and
properly formulated, based upon molecular weights of the ingredients. The molecular
weights of ingredients determine the size of any particular ingredient. Most ingredients listed
in many personal care marketing campaigns as being beneficial to skin may, in fact, not
be beneficial. What the user of such concoctions does not know is that molecular weights
of such ingredients make it impossible to be absorbed into the skin and therefore may be
completely ineffective.
The truth is that a new, healthy cell has within and amongst its cell properties all that the
skin requires to be healthy…from the bottom up. The real key to beautiful skin is simply
producing more healthy cells to replace existing healthy cells.
Why? Because this advanced complex of algae, plankton, seaweed, and minerals replenishes
and accelerates cell production without irritation. Additionally, orchid and botanical extracts
protect the skin from environmental damage while the powerful combinations of Vitamin A
and Vitamin E protect the skin from cell-destroying free radicals.
Essential Oils
The powers of healing found in the oils of certain leaves, flowers, roots, and herbs have been
known for centuries. Chamomile oil, for example, is antiseptic and soothing. Lavender oil
works as a stimulant and a toner, and is especially good for oily skin. The list is long, and all
the oils contained in the SeneDerm skin care system are specifically selected for their own
benefits and well-defined healing qualities, thus providing the optimum in the promotion
of healthy skin. Combined with the latest scientific research and technological advances,
SenePlex creates an unparalleled cellular renewal system for the skin. Studies show that
on the average, skin that is 40 years and older takes 20 plus days to recycle and produce
new cells while younger skin recycles in 16-18 days. To even come close to this younger,
healthy skin, a skin care product must offer moisture, lubrication and aid in the production
of new cells.
SeneDerm does just that. Independent Laboratory tests have shown that after using the
SeneDerm SkinCare products for as little 2 weeks, positive results can actually be seen!!
So now the question comes: “Just what is it about SeneDerm that stimulates such
incredible results?”
Minerals are naturally occurring chemical compounds. The skin needs certain minerals for
optimal function. Just some of the minerals included in SeneGence formulations to help
your skin be at its healthiest include Copper PCA for skin conditioning, Magnesium PCA for
moisturization, and Zinc PCA for antioxidant protection.
Normally, vegetation cannot live in such a poisonous environment. If these plants could thrive
so vitally amidst volcanic ash, what could their secret do for human skin? This question
inspired two expeditions to this tiny, remote island and years of constant investigation and
research by the SeneGence team of chemists and Joni Rogers-Kante, Founder of SeneGence.
They studied the mysteries of these plants and the volcanic ash that in nature surrounded
them and discovered that the plant life of that area had developed unique characteristics
which helped them flourish in their poisonous atmosphere; this atmosphere could be likened
to the heavy pollution of smog filled metropolitan cities around the world. The goal was to
duplicate the process found within this plant life by blending characteristics of this naturally
occurring resource with ingredients found to be beneficial to the skin, thus creating a simple
but effective skin care system and cosmetic product. This was accomplished! The raw
natural materials were gathered from Vanuatu, transported to the United States, and then
used to introduce and create SenePlex Complex, our astounding technology, designed to
make skin more beautiful from head to toe.
In short, with prolonged use, it is possible that UGL Complex will result in significant anti-
aging benefits easily visible to the user.
SeneDerm Anti- Aging SkinCare System and creamy SenseCosmetics are made with a
variety of Molecular Weights (sizes) so that specific ingredients are able to deliver the
active ingredients of SenePlex Complex into the skin, to the precise levels where the
ingredients are needed to be of benefit to the skin.
It is important to balance the size of the molecular weight of ingredients needed for protection
of the skin with the purpose of the product. At the same time, avoid molecular weights that
are comedogenic (clog pores) in nature.
One of the goals of our products is to help balance and maintain moisture content of the
skin. Based upon a variety of molecular weights in each of the products, the size of the
molecules determines the hours of protection.
The estimated period of protection from free radicals provided by the products is:
• Daytime Moisturizer estimated average of 8-10 hrs
• Evening Moisturizer estimated average of 12-14 hrs
• Shea Butter Body Cream estimated average of 14-18 hrs
• EyeCreme is the thickest & lasts the longest!
Skin diseases and the physical texture and appearance of the skin are most directly related
to the way in which we care for it. Depending upon age, every 28 days we get an entirely
new epidermis, from top to bottom. A pool of non-dividing cells is always at rest in the
bottom layers of the epidermis ready to take over the function of covering the body. Even
in old age (and this may be one of the keys to staying younger) there are resting young cells
waiting to be released into the growth and proliferation phase.
What if we could speed the production of these healthy cells? How could the growth of
increased fresh, healthy, moist, glowing skin be maintained? And likewise, how could
the protection of that healthy skin be beneficial even in today’s harsh environments
with the added necessity of appropriate color cosmetic usage?
We must then deal with the care and protection of our skin. You will determine that to
protect your skin and to create healthy new cells requires care from both inside and out.
Our eccrine, watery sweat glands, secrete several liters of liquid that evaporates insensibly
from our skins, taking the caloric heat of food and muscle metabolism with it into the air
surrounding us.
As a metabolic center, the skin actively participates in the synthesis of many of the body’s
basic constituents. Carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and amino acids are all manufactured
to some degree in the skin. Also, vitamin D3, an essential ingredient in bone formation, is
metabolized in the skin. Blood vessels running into the skin carry these nutrients in and out
The SenePlex Complex has been discovered to be what is called a “Kinetic Enzyme.” This
means that SenePlex Complex speeds up the natural process of reproducing cells without
changing the process itself. Simply stated, SenePlex Complex impacts the growth of living
cells and increases the cellular renewal process at a rate never before seen in the cosmetics

SeneGence SeneDerm Anti-Aging Systems work by affording the user the greatest benefits
resulting from the most effective anti-aging skin care system known today, combined with
patented long-lasting color technology of SenseCosmetics. The SenseCosmetics line of
creamy color cosmetics delivers the same continuous benefits of the anti-aging skin care
systems. Layering the anti aging-properties onto our skin for 24 hours daily by combining
the two technologies (anti-aging and long lasting color) compounds the benefits for a
more beautiful complexion through the use of a simple three-step skin care process and
application of amazing, versatile anti-aging color cosmetics. The SeneDerm Anti-Aging
products, combined with our SenseCosmetics creamy color cosmetics, provide both day
and night benefits for our skin.
The following results are not only astounding but they are documented. SeneDerm
with SenePlex Complex was concluded to improve skin on 100% of those women who
took part in the clinical tests, regardless of skin type. The Independent Laboratory test
results concluded that SeneDerm:
• Increased cellular renewal rate of the skin an average of 23.3%
• Increased skin moisturization and hydration, an average of 54.2%
• Increased skin firmness and elasticity, an average of 51.9%
• Decreased skin sagging by an average of 25%
It is rather remarkable that EVERY tested woman studied by the Independent Laboratory,
experienced measurable benefits to her facial skin that was the subject of the study. To
have achieved an overall 55.7 % DECREASE IN FINE LINES AND WRINKLES IS ALSO AN
EXCEPTIONAL RESULT.
So you can actually see that when the SenePlex Complex formulation is synergistically
blended with nature’s botanical extracts, marine algae, vitamins, and essential oils (ingredients
specifically selected for their beneficial properties as well as total affinity and compatibility
with the skin), the result is a product that just may give you that skin you wish for. And, as the
product line has evolved, we have also begun to enhance the effects of SenePlex Complex
within the formulas with the addition of nanosomes, peptides and time-released ingredients
that last all day.
Please refer to the actual Clinical Test Results found in the appropriate section of this manual
for more detailed documentation of test results.
The dehydration process of these newer cells has not been completed even as they are
replaced with the cells rising to the top from underneath. Moisture content is improved
through increased cellular production. Cells maintain a greater amount of moisture making
them more plump and supple. Replacing older, dead cells with cells that maintain greater
moisture content makes skin more luminous. Increased cellular growth also means less time
for cells to naturally lose collagen content and break down elastin fibers that make the skin
sag. Increased cellular production helps to increase firmness and elasticity of the skin. Fine
lines and wrinkles are often attributed to the build up of dehydrated, dead skin that has been
compacted into certain areas of the skin surface.
With healthy, moist, luminous cells produced at a constant increased rate, fine lines and
wrinkles are sure to diminish. With increased cellular growth, it is conceivable to imagine
that non-genetic color spots created by unhealthy skin could be replaced by healthier, more
beautiful skin. This could result in a more evenly colored skin surface, making your complexion
appear smoother. Conceivably, one could suppose that if cells are being produced at an
increased speed, small lesions created by blemishes could possibly heal faster.
Different parts of your body have varying moisture contents. When SenePlex penetrates the
skin, it normalizes the moisture content for the part of the body it is applied. It won’t alter
the moisture content of your skin or provide additional moisture to any unneeded areas of
the skin. The complex helps to balance and restore moisture content within areas of the skin
where levels need to be increased. It’s the skin and SenePlex together that actually create a
SeneShield™
Pollution, an increasing environmental issue, can have dramatic impacts on the skin. It
can alter the skin’s moisture-regulating ability due to free radicals generated by pollutants,
thus causing skin to lose its radiance and take on a muddy complexion. SeneShield is an
exclusive blend of ingredients that protects skin from harmful air pollutants, UV rays, and
free radicals. SeneShield includes a natural plant sorbitol and yeast extract, creating a non-
clogging, transparent shield to protect skin and help to reduce signs of aging.
SeneShield fights the effects of urbanization exposure, helping to reverse the signs of aging.
Shield your skin with SeneGence products containing SeneShield: SeneSerum-C and
MakeSense Advanced Anti-Aging Foundation.
S.M.A.R.T. Ingredients
Today’s advanced ingredient technologies allow for more effective physical benefits to
skin. S.M.A.R.T. Ingredients actually help fight the aging process of cells by Soothing,

SenePeptides™
SenePeptides are a series of isolated active peptides with anti-aging hair growth properties
that stimulate gene expression causing increased keratin production, which makes hair
follicles grow faster, thicker, and longer. In our LashExtend formula, they are combined into
a formulation base of glycerin and water, and work to grow lashes at an unprecedented rate.
DualSense™ Delivery
The highly advanced anti-aging moisturizing formulation of Climate Control is designed with
a remarkable dual delivery system technology, DualSense. This revolutionary technology
keeps two different but essential delivery systems separated until you are ready to begin
using the product, and, therefore, preserving the highest levels of product effectiveness.
The two different delivery systems of Climate Control consist of the clear liquid top layer,
SenePlex and a gelatinous blue matrix containing our SelPlex Complex combined with a
high dosage of Sodium Hyaluronate (additional humectants) as the bottom layer. The delivery
system of the bottom layer SelPlex, in which lies a mixture of unique ingredients and raw
materials, allows for penetration of the SenePlex actives when combined, delivering to the
skin much needed essential fatty acids that are crucial in healthy cellular development and
cannot be synthesized by the human body. The delivery system of SenePlex, the top layer, is
a liquid solution which delivers all the beneficial ingredients to the cells when applied to the
skin. The actives impact the growth of living cells and increase the cellular renewal process.
When ready to use, vigorously shaking the bottle mixes the two delivery systems together
by activating the active ingredients of SenePlex. Thus, two become one – the DualSense
Delivery System provides a mechanism and a vehicle for the fresh actives of SenePlex
Why does DualSense Delivery System Technology Work? It is well known throughout the
cosmetic and skin care industries that when contained within a mixture of other ingredients,
the effectiveness of “actives” diminishes with time. It is also known throughout the scientific
communities of the cosmetic industries that the emulsifiers in the suspension fluids are
supposed to deliver the actives into the skin. Emulsifiers are ingredients that help assist
in the production of an emulsion, or the “blend” of ingredients that are seemingly unable
to be mixed together. Emulsifiers are made of molecules, the size of which is measured in
molecular weights. Molecular weights of the majority of emulsifiers are much too large to
penetrate the skin, therefore unable to deliver actives and other beneficial ingredients into
the layers of the skin. The actives in SenePlex Complex are not activated until vigorously
shaken and evenly distributed throughout the SelPlex suspension delivery system. SelPlex
“self” suspension delivery system is formulated using herbal oil extracts mixed with vitamins
and tocopherols. Both SenePlex and SelPlex delivery systems are beneficial to the skin and
can stand alone as delivery systems in separate products. However, by combining these
two delivery systems together into one, the combined affects of this unique DualSense
Delivery System, is remarkable.
The DualSense Delivery System Technology aids in providing more moisture and other
beneficial ingredients contained in the ‘self’ suspension fluid by penetrating into the deepest
layers of your skin as it distributes the fresh and newly activated ‘actives’ of the SenePlex
Complex. This process alone increases the effectiveness of the SeneDerm with SenePlex
Anti-Aging SkinCare System.

aging benefits to the skin, based upon skin type.
This systemized product group provides a balanced skin care base and enhances the long-
lasting effects of the liquid MakeSense Foundations. When using SenseCosmetics and
SeneDerm SkinCare System the skin is protected from harmful rays from the sun without the
use of unnecessary chemicals. The combination of the Daytime Moisturizer and MakeSense
Original Foundation provide a mechanical shield equivalency of a SPF 30 from the sun’s
harmful rays.
Key Points
• The Proprietary Formula – SenePlex Complex truly does make all skin types
more beautiful.
• The Actives –Our actives are actually active.
• The Molecular Weights – Ingredient molecules are small enough to penetrate
through the cells of the skin.
• The Layering – Allows for maximum active absorption. With one product layered
onto the skin after the next.
• The Beauty – All products stay on skin all-day and make skin more beautiful.
• The Economy – All products are highly concentrated and last longer than many
competitive cosmetic market products.
The average human generates a new layer of skin every two to four weeks (cellular cycle).
At the end of the cycle, the old, dead cells on the surface are shed. In the event the cells are
not shed, a build-up of cells results. The skin will start to appear dull, the texture becomes
rough and the skin’s capacity to absorb moisturizing products is reduced. Stress, pollution
and UV rays also tend to slow down epidermal turnover time. If the old, dead skin cells
are not removed, bacteria builds and together the bacteria, oil, and dead skin can clog the
sebaceous pores leading to superficial spots or blackheads. If you do not exfoliate on a
regular basis your skin will become clogged with toxins and will not be able ‘to breathe’.
This will result in dull, oily looking skin and may cause skin conditions such as acne. It also
means that blood cannot circulate adequately, and toxins will continue to build up.
Impurities, dirt and bacteria from the atmosphere, are oil based. Water and oil do not mix.
Because oil-based impurities do not dissolve in water, a cleanser without the use of harsh
detergents and strippers is a must to makes impurities soluble (mobile) enough to be washed
away. SeneGence 3-in-1 Cleansers (and SeneDerm Body Wash) contain a molecule that
has, on one end, an oil molecule to attract and bind to the oil base impurities. The other
end of the same molecule has a liquid molecule to mix and bind to water. Once applied, the
molecule binds to impurities with one end and water lifts (water attracts water) and washes
away the entire cleansing molecule removing the oil-based impurities that attached to the
one end of the molecule.
Our four smooth luxurious unique formulations contain the finest ingredients nature and
technology have to offer for dry, normal to dry, and normal to oily skin types. Enriched with
plant extracts and vitamins, our 3-in-1 suds-free cleansers are designed and formulated to
clean, tone, and exfoliate in one easy step! Blended without the use of harsh detergents,
L-Argenin: an Amino acid that has antioxidant properties and can be helpful for
wound healing.

Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil: a very rich, moisturizing treatment for skin, with
natural sunscreen properties. It is a very stable oil that contains lecithin and more than
20 percent essential unsaturated fatty acids. The age of skin is partly determined by
its content of soluble collagen. A recent study found that ‘avocado oil’ significantly
increases the water-soluble collagen content in the dermis while offering protection
from ultraviolet rays.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera): most known for moisturizing, soothing,
and healing. Recent studies indicate that Aloe Vera gel has the ability to enhance
and accelerate cellular growth.
Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract: a herb that has been shown to have anti-
irritant, soothing, and antioxidant properties.

SeneDerm with SenePlex Complex is formulated with a delivery system that enables the
SenePlex Complex to penetrate the skin, therefore, making possible the amazingly proven
results seen by this unique anti-aging system. SeneDerm with SenePlex Complex Evening
Moisturizers is a richer, more concentrated formulation of the daytime moisturizers without
sun protection.
Your skin is capable of absorbing more benefits of products on the skin’s surface as you sleep.
The evening moisturizers are more concentrated to deliver higher percentage of SenePlex
Complex to your skin as you rest. Additionally, a richer, thicker formulation prevents the
atmosphere from dehydrating your skin while you sleep.
Advanced Anti-Aging Moisturizers, such as Climate Control and SeneSerum-C, add more
intense moisture to dry skin with additional beneficial ingredients.
An anti-aging moisturizer for sensitive and dry skin types, Climate Control
is a proprietary formulation of two separate and extremely effective
delivery systems, combined into one advanced technology, “DualSense”.
It enhances the anti-aging effects of SeneDerm SkinCare Systems and can
provide extra moisture for those times when your skin needs it most.
SelPlex is a “self” suspension fluid, which is the Matrix (physical structure) that holds the
ingredients needed to complete the product formulation. This highly advanced suspension
fluid is formulated in SeneGence fashion to be highly effective and is a mixture of both
nature and science. SelPlex contains the very best scientific ingredients and humectants
that help make your skin moister in a blend of specifically selected herbal oil extracts, which
are mixed with vitamins and tocopherols that soothe the skin. SelPlex does not contain
emulsifiers so that the penetrating qualities of these essential oils help to evenly disperse
SenePlex Complex into the deepest layers of the skin when combined.
Climate Control starts working only when you are ready for it to start working. This highly
advanced anti-aging moisturizing formulation is designed with a remarkable dual delivery

Those with sensitive and very dry skin types may experience the beauty of our anti-aging
system by using Climate Control. Sensitive skin types and very dry skin types may use
Climate Control Moisturizer before applying SeneDerm DayTime or Evening Moisturizer or
SenePlex EyeCreme.
Sensitive skin tends to lack moisture at the cellular level. Lack of moisture causes dryness,
which in turn, causes irritation, creating a “heating sensation” in sensitive skin. Additional
humectants help to increase moisture content. As moisture spreads, so too does SenePlex.
The herbal oil extracts soothe irritations of the skin as the moisturizer relieves the dryness.
The “heat sensation” is eliminated. Thus…Climate Control!
Within eight weeks of usage, the cellular renewal cycle begins to increase in the skin, making
proper moisture content and beautiful skin a reality. Climate Control is also perfect for those
who experience dryness of skin as a result of changing climates from one season to the
next. Exposing skin to varying climates and inconsistent diets while traveling may contribute
to temporary dryness as well. Climate Control is perfect for the times you “listen to your
skin” and hear your skin asking for a bit more moisture.
SelPlex: a blend of herbal oil extracts, vitamins and tocopherols that soothe the skin.
Simmondsia Chinensis: Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) acts
as a moisturizer and emollient agent to improve the skin elasticity and suppleness,
containing natural Tocopherol to minimize oxidation and lipid pre oxidation.
Santalum album (Sandalwood) Oil: assists with chapped, dry or inflamed skin and
has wonderful moisturizing and hydrating properties. The toning effect is useful
when fighting oily skin.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: acts as a base; an oily liquid made from coconut oil.
Algae (Seaweed) Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the
skin. It is essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and
enhances the skin’s ability to repair itself.
Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid (a member of the vitamin B complex)
aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Butylene Glycol: a humectant that retains scent and preserves against spoilage.
You must use Daytime or Evening Moisturizer, or SeneSerum-C after the application of
Climate Control to seal it into the skin.
SeneSerum-C
There are five main factors which make SeneSerum-C with C-Beads and
SenePlex Complex+ a substantial breakthrough product for anti-aging skin
care treatments:
1. SeneShield™
2. S.M.A.R.T. Ingredients
3. C-Beads with Stabilized Vitamin C
4. Grape Juice Extract Blend
5. SenePlex Complex+
Where has the pure air gone? Atmospheric pollution peaks are
increasingly common. Today, there are cities where this pollution
is already part of everyday life, to the extent that the sun cannot
easily breaking through, even in the height of summer.
Pollution can have dramatic impacts on the skin. It can alter the skin’s moisture-regulating
capacity due to free radicals generated by pollutants. When put to such a harsh test, the
Cigarette smoke is another pollutant that is equally harmful to the beauty and health of the
skin. Smoking isn’t only dangerous for the lungs! Cigarette smoke contains heavy metals
such as cadmium, which generate free radicals on the surface of the skin and can alter its
structure.
SeneShield
Evaluation of protective effect against pollution: Decrease of the carbon particles encrusted
on the skin.
SeneShield also helps to protect skin from damage caused by UV-A and UV-B radiation.
S.M.A.R.T. Ingredients
Today’s advanced ingredient technologies allow for more effective physical benefits to skin.
S.M.A.R.T. Ingredients actually help fight the aging process of cells by Soothing, Moisturizing,
supporting Anti-aging, Restructuring, & enhancing the Touch of skin. That means ingredients
of today can actually help to repair the damage of cells caused by toxins and reverse the
damage, helping to correct damage caused by urbanization.
Loricrin Increase
Sirtuin Increase
Sirtuins are a class of proteins that influence cellular processes, like aging and inflammation.
Involucrin Increase
Vitamin C is used for cell replenishment. The human body cannot produce Vitamin C for
itself. Generally, you must eat food or take vitamins as a source to replenish Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is also an anti-oxidant that helps fight off ultraviolet free radicals.
The Vitamin C used in SeneSerum-C with SenePlex is stabilized, meaning it really works
and is ‘active’ within the SeneSerum-C mixture as opposed to using unstabilized Vitamin C
blends that do not work.
Vitamin C works as an essential factor for the normal formation, maintenance, and structural
stability of collagen. Collagen is the key component to most tissues. It is the main protein
of connective tissue. It is the main component of extra cellular matrix that supports most
tissues and gives cells structure from the outside. Its effects include:
• Anti-Oxidant activity, inhibiting lipid peroxidation.
• Clarifying and Brightening Effect – clarifying and brightening activity, inhibiting
melanogenesis. Provides a more even skin tone.
• MMP inhibition (reduction of free radicals) which protects against cell damage.
• Collagen synthesis – stimulation of collagen production.
• Collagen protection
• Improves penetration
Vitamin C is the key ingredient that helps amino acids, which in turn effect the production
of collagen. The actives in SenePlex Complex+ and the other beneficial vitamins including
stabilized Vitamin C are absorbed by the skin.
SenePlex Complex+
SenePlex Complex+ works to increase cellular renewal and combat signs of aging. It is a
mixture of unique ingredients and raw materials contained within a delivery system that
allows for penetration and delivery of the SenePlex Complex+ actives into the second layer
of the skin, the dermis, increasing cellular renewal.
The use of SeneSerum-C with SenePlex and its delivery of beneficial ingredients through the
C-Beads helps accelerate the rate, depth, and extent of penetration of beneficial ingredients
to the skin to achieve more efficient and even absorption. Therefore, based upon the facts
listed above we can conclude that SeneSerum-C with SenePlex Complex+:
• Contains stabilized Vitamin C and helps to increase collagen production for
firmer skin.
• Enhances the effects of SenePlex Complex+.
• More efficiently and evenly delivers a variety of active, anti-aging ingredients to the
skin for faster, more luminous results.
• Increases skin’s natural ability to form an effective, protective bacterial and fungicidal
layer that helps decrease the aging of the skin.
• Helps to inactivate carcinogenic chemicals and free radicals from the skin’s surface.
• Helps to increase ability of the skin’s protective layer to shield against harmful
ultraviolet rays of the sun and free radicals.
• Includes Vitamin A, Vitamin E and a blend of moisturizers that effectively make skin
soft and supple.
• Helps rough, dull skin become smoother and more luminous.
Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid (a member of the vitamin B complex)
aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Orchis Mascula (Orchid) Flower Extract: a plant native to the South Pacific, which
has long been a source of excellence for the preparation of emollient products. This
powerful anti-oxidant provides free-radical protection and maximum moisturization.
The orchid extract is very effective as a sunscreen.
Spirulina Maxima (Algae Seaweed) Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun,
and softens the skin. It is essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum
corneum and enhances the skin’s ability to repair itself.
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): fundamental for increasing skin elasticity and thickening
of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role in RNA synthesis,
known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation to reveal younger,
plumper skin cells. This process of cell renewal and exfoliation helps to reduce the
appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin irregularities. Medical studies indicate
that Vitamin A is effective in slowing down skin aging and in reducing the number
and depth of wrinkles. A regression of pigmented spots has been demonstrated in
medical studies with regular use of Vitamin A.
The botanical blend found in these products contains natural moisture retention formulations
and provide environmental protection to the skin. This moisturizer is formulated as the perfect
base for MakeSense Foundation. When used underneath our Original Foundation, DayTime
Moisturizer and MakeSense Foundation create a systemized mechanical sun shield for
your face. Laboratory testing revealed that the mechanical shield created by using Original
MakeSense Foundation with SenePlex Complex over the SeneDerm DayTime Moisturizer
with SenePlex Complex equates to a SPF of 30.
Bisabolol & Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract Complex: a very powerful
anti-irritant that prevents irritation and redness caused by environmental and
chemical damage.
Hydromanil Complex: comes from ingredients that include the seed of the tara tree
that grows in a very dry climate in the Andes Mountains in Peru. The seeds have a
unique ability to retain moisture even after years of being in the dry environment.
The manufacturer has been able to extract the hydrating components of the seed
and the clinical use shows immediate, intermediate and long term increases in skin
hydration. Clinical studies have shown a 10% concentration of Hydromanil produces
a 21% moisture boost in the skin after 4 hours. Studies have shown that the skin
continues to have significantly greater hydration after three weeks.
Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil: Lubricates, boosts collagen and elastin production
of the skin and regenerates the hydrolipid barrier that is constantly subject to
aggressions mainly from the sun. It photo-protects the skin against UV radiation,
particularly UVB that causes erythema.
Arginine : an Amino acid that has antioxidant properties and can be helpful for
wound healing; used because it is extremely gentle.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil: a natural anti-oxidant. This ingredient is considered
a must for emolliency in skin care with a superior moisturizing effect on the upper
layer of the skin and can aid in reducing scars.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: acts as a moisturizer and emollient agent
to improve the skin elasticity and suppleness.
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil: a very rich, moisturizing treatment with natural
sunscreen properties. It is a very stable oil that contains lecithin and more than 20
percent essential unsaturated fatty acids. The age of skin is partly determined by its
content of soluble collagen. A recent study found it significantly increases the water-
soluble collagen content in the dermis while offering protection from ultraviolet rays.
Butyrospermum Parki (Shea Butter) : a natural moisturizer and plant lipid. Lipids
are the oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture evaporation from the
skin and provide lubrication to the skin’s surface.
Panthenol (pro Vitamin B) : Besides the wrinkle reducing effects that panthenol
provides to skin, it has been proven in numerous studies that it can be used for acne
treatment and prevention.
Tocopheral (Vitamin E): essential for maintaining the activities of enzymes in the cells
and for the formation of red blood cells, is also an anti-oxidant and has been shown
to inhibit skin cancer and aid in the healing of skin ailments. It is a dynamic weapon
against premature aging and combating wrinkles by neutralizing free radicals to stop
the chain reaction of molecular damage and to protect the skin against oxidation. It’s
also believed to protect skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays once it’s absorbed.
The botanicals contained in this product are unique filtering ingredients, which help provide
environmental protection. They are a key element for creating the sunshield effect for
your skin.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera): most known for moisturizing, soothing,
and healing. Recent studies indicate that Aloe Vera gel has the ability to enhance
and accelerate cellular growth.
Algae (Seaweed) Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the
skin. It is essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and
enhances the skin’s ability to repair itself.

aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Cetearyl Alcohol: used as an emulsion stabilizer, opacifying agent, and foam boosting
surfactant, as well as an aqueous and non-aqueous viscosity: increasing agent. It
imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water in-oil emulsions, oil-
in-water emulsions.
What does this mean? Well, it takes about 28 days for a cell to be born and to make the
journey from the bottom most layer of the skin to the top layer, the epidermis. By the time a
cell reaches the skin’s surface, it has lost most of its water content and appears dry and thin.
The “old” cells that reach the surface fall off by themselves or are sloughed off during the
process of cleansing or exfoliation. This entire process slows down due to age, ultraviolet
light exposure, sickness, improper nutrition, drugs, and so on.
SeneDerm Evening Moisturizer with SenePlex Complex for both dry and oily skins supports
this most important cell regeneration process with its ingredients as you sleep.
SenePlex Complex: the Kinetic enzyme that increases cellular renewal and naturally
exfoliates, moisturizes and nourishes the skin.
Tetrapeptide 21: minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and reduces skin roughness.
Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract: a natural ingredient that provides anti-acne
properties, sebum control, and can be used as an exfoliant. The bark of white
willowcontains salicin, which is a chemical similar to aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid). It
is thought to be responsible for the pain relieving and anti-inflammatory effects of
the herb. Studies have identified several other components of willow bark that have
antioxidant, fever reducing, antiseptic, and immune boosting properties.
Bisabolol & Zingiber Offincinale (Ginger) Root Extract Complex: a very powerful
anti- irritant that prevents irritation and redness caused by environmental and
chemical damage.

Glycine: an organic compound which is the smallest of the 20 amino acids commonly
found in proteins. It is unique among the proteinogenic amino acids in that it can fit
into hydrophilic (water: loving) environments.
SeneDerm EyeCrème
The SeneGence SeneDerm EyeCrème with SenePlex Complex represents
some of the most advanced skin technology known today. Not only does
its content contain our Anti-Aging SenePlex Complex, it also contains a
variety of natural oils of varying molecular weights for maximum penetration.
SeneDerm EyeCrème melts at skin temperature by forming a silk-like
coating that reduces drag when applying additional eye makeup, such as
shadows, and it fills in fine lines and wrinkles to eliminate shadowing in the lines and wrinkles,
making the skin area appear smoother.
The goal here is to increase lubricity at each one of these layers so that cells could move
easily because they are lubricated (like constantly adding oil to a machine so that it does
not wear out). In order to deliver a lubricant to one layer and then another layer beneath,
the lubricant’s molecules must be different sizes to travel down to the lower layers; its
sizes have to be relatively small. SeneDerm EyeCrème has an array of different types and
molecular sizes of lubricants to reach the different layers. SeneDerm EyeCrème is not just
for smoothness; it’s to improve the condition of skin around the eye because that’s where
skin first becomes wrinkled due to the constant movement.
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil: non-greasy oil easily absorbed, and
helps to leave the skin soft and satiny smooth.
Simmondsia Chinensis: Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) acts

Aging of the lip zone is characterized by increased water loss and volume,
the inability to produce collagen, and therefore a decrease in dermal
density. Vertical wrinkles begin to appear. The lip area is fragile in nature
and needs protection and internal synthesis (support structure) in order
to overcome this eventual decline.
Naturally dry due to the fineness of the external barrier and absence of moisturizing glands,
the vermilion of the lips (external covering of lip area) is constantly subjected to drying.

Key Ingredients and Benefits
LipVolumizer is made of a combination of ingredients. Here are a few key components:
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter): The scientific name for shea butter, considered
as a plant lipid. Lipids are the oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture
evaporation from the skin and provide lubrication to the skin’s surface. Lipids are
considered as a natural moisturizer.
Portulaca Pilosa (‘Kiss-Me-Quick’): a plant with specific peptides that help boost the
collagen matrix production and other ingredients to increase moisturization of lips.
Simmondsia Chinensis: Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil) acts
as a moisturizer and emollient agent to improve the skin elasticity and suppleness,
containing natural Tocopherol to minimize oxidation and lipid pre-oxidation.
Squalene: Deactivates the free radical known as singlet oxygen, the free radical
that is generated by exposure to the sun’s UV radiation. Squalene can also absorb
Hyaluronic Acid: Essential ingredient for cellular repair and strength in structure.
Glyclomethicone: Imparts a non-greasy soft silky feel to the skin and leaves no oily
residue or build-up.
One of the most striking signs of skin aging is the intensity of frown and wrinkle
lines of the forehead, between the eyes, the nasal area reaching from the base
of the nose to the corner of the month, the chin, upper lip, and neck areas. This
occurs in time and is affected by certain biochemical, genetic, and physiological
factors enhanced by environmental exposures. However, secondary factors
such as repeated facial movements caused by contraction of the muscles during
varied facial expressions can cause exaggerated and unnecessary emphasis
and intensify light and medium wrinkles found in these areas of the face.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment is formulated with ingredients that reduce the intensity of wrinkle lines
(and therefore the depth) while at the same time stimulate cell production and restore proper
moisture content of cells to produce fuller, more plump cells in areas that are recessed.
Refer to the Product Test Results, Clinicals, and Conclusions section of this manual for more
detailed information.

In response to this problem Dimethyl Isosorbide (DMI) was designed to help dissolve actives
such as BPO in formulations and prevent its re-agglomeration (act or process of gathering
into a mass). This increases the efficacy of BPO by limiting its particle size to better target
the pores and eliminate the source of acne. Further, by keeping the particles from re-
agglomerating, it reduces skin irritation. It is generally known that actives are only as effective
as the vehicles used to deliver them. DMI is designed to aid penetration into the epidermis
by increasing the polarity of the surface skin layers to carry the active BPO to the pores of
the skin in order to kill the bacteria that cause acne, where it can act more effectively.
In fact, the ingredient was shown to be a better delivery vehicle for BPO than Ethoxydiglycol
(EDG) a commonly used competitive material, as determined experimentally and in a
theoretical model comparing the polarity of the delivery vehicle to the solute, in this case BPO.
Allantoin: an anti-irritant
Panthenol (pro Vitamin B): Besides the wrinkle reducing effects that panthenol
provides to skin, it has been proven in numerous studies that panthenol can be used
for acne treatment and acne prevention.
Aloe Vera: helpful in treating skin diseases and helps in healing wounds.
Water is the most important component in skin, and is necessary for 99.9% of all reactions.
The biggest way you lose water is through the skin as you perspire. The older you become, the
larger the pores in your skin become, and therefore more water is lost through perspiration.
Loss of water leads to unwanted signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, and dry skin texture.
With the goal to maintain appropriate moisture levels in skin, we reviewed and surveyed
high-end cosmetic preparations, and they all had 2 things in common:
1. Water
2. Triglycerides- specifically caprylic/capric triglycerides
Caprylic/Capric triglycerides are derived from coconut oil and glycerin, and come in the
form of an oily liquid. The triglycerides are mixed esters composed of caprylic and capric
fatty acids. Caprylic/capric triglyceride has a number of useful properties in the formulation
of cosmetics and skin care. It creates a barrier on the skin’s surface, decreasing the amount
of moisture lost through the skin. Therefore, the triglyceride prevents dryness and also acts
as a conditioning agent.
There is much confusion about the difference between coconut oil and caprylic/capric
triglyceride. Fractionated coconut oil is created by melting coconut oil and then letting it
cool very slowly. The different kinds of fat in the oil separate, based on their different melting
points. This is a physical separation process- no chemical reactions occur. Fractionated
coconut oil typically refers to the liquid portion of the coconut oil that has been separated
from the harder fats.
Nangai Oil is unique because it does not require any chemical process to extract the
triglycerides, unlike coconut oil. Pure caprylic/capric triglycerides are naturally present in
Nangai Oil, and do not require processing or manufacturing in order to create the purest,
most beneficial product to moisturize your skin. This is why we can say that the triglycerides
present in Nangai Oil are all-natural. These natural triglycerides form a barrier on skin that
stops water from evaporating, and at the same time, it does not feel greasy or heavy.
Algae (Seaweed) Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the
skin. It is essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and
enhances the skin’s ability to repair itself.
The nail plate itself is comprised of flattened corneocyte cells and has three distinct layers.
The dorsal (uppermost) layer is 2-3 cell layers thick and contains the oldest, most damaged
cells. The intermediate layer makes up about 3/4 of the nail material, and the ventral (lower)
region is 1-2 cells thick and contains the youngest, softest cells.
The keratin nail plate is highly cross linked, containing approximately 10.5% cystine. This
sulphur containing amino acid is responsible for holding the nail protein structure together and
giving it the structural robustness it needs to perform its functions. This protein structure is
porous and highly water absorbent – increasing water content results in increased flexibility.
The nail plate also contains about 1% lipid, which is thought to reside between the corneocyte
cells. When this is depleted, for example by solvents in nail polish removers, nail brittleness
often results. The nail structure can be affected by exposure to hydration/ dehydration,
solvents and detergents. It has been reported that repeated hydration/dehydration causes a
condition known as onychoschizia, or lamellar dystrophy. This causes the nails to become
dry, brittle and weak and to separate at the free edge.
This condition has been largely attributed to decreased nail plate moisturization, possibly
arising from a change in the protein structure and its ability to bind water and/or decreased
water retention in the areas between the corneocytes where the lipids reside. It has been
suggested that good condition (absence of lamellar dystrophy) can be achieved by hydration
followed by the application of a topical agent which prevents water loss.
A closer look on the left shows the nail untreated. The right picture shows the nail after being
treated with NailExtend.
Glycerin: nail hardener; helps strengthen the nail. Increases the water content and
acts as a moisturizer.
Algae Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the skin. It is
essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and enhances
the skin’s ability to repair itself.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice- (Aloe Vera): most known for moisturizing, soothing,
and healing. Studies indicate that Aloe Vera gel has the ability to enhance and
accelerate cellular growth.
Panthenol (pro Vitamin B5): moisturizes and helps maintain flexibility of nail bed.
Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid (a member of the Vitamin B Complex)
aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Remember, makeup looks only as good as the skin beneath it! And the skin beneath it is
what SeneDerm is all about. But even using the best skin care products, such as SeneDerm,
cannot do the job alone.
You must also help your body; you can help by getting adequate sleep, drinking plenty
of water, proper nutrition, vitamins, exercise, and stress free moments with massage and
facials. Furthermore, skin changes, so your choice of products may need to be adjusted.
For example, in the summer, your skin is generally drier on the surface and oilier underneath.
In the Winter, your skin is often dry all the way through. Around holidays, for some reason,
your skin tends to be oilier, and if you often travel on airplanes, the recycled air will dry out
your skin.
Treat your skin as your best friend, not as your enemy or a nuisance. The two of you will be
going through life together. Understand it. Be kind and gentle with it. Give it only the best.
Keep it healthy and happy. LISTEN TO IT. If you take care of your skin, it will glow for you.
We can never have that baby skin again, but with knowledge and proper care, we will love
the skin we can create.
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): Vitamin A, it is fundamental for increasing skin elasticity
and thickening of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role
in RNA synthesis, known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation
to reveal younger, plumper skin cells which produces new and healthy cells in the
skin and the body, This process of cell renewal and exfoliation helps to reduce the
appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin irregularities. Medical studies indicate
that Vitamin A is effective in slowing down skin aging and in reducing the number
and depth of wrinkles. A regression of pigmented spots has been demonstrated in
medical studies with regular use of Vitamin A.
Jojoba: Closely resembles the skin’s natural waxes and oils. This oil aids in the
prevention of moisture loss.
Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract: keeps specific enzymes known as proteases from
degrading skin proteins such as collagen and elastin, which are responsible for
giving skin its firmness and elasticity. It can therefore protect collagen and elastin
against the damaging effects of proteases activated by aging and through different

luminescent glow that works on all skin tones. Please refer to the current SeneGence Beauty
Book for the color palette offering.
Algae (Seaweed) Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the
skin. It is essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and
enhances the skin’s ability to repair itself.
Yeast Extract: a source of folic acid (a member of the vitamin B complex) that aids
in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Cyclomethicone: a silicone that feels silky on the skin introduces moisture and is a
water-binding agent that holds up well, even when the skin becomes wet.
After applying SeneDerm Moisturizer with SenePlex, dot MakeSense Foundation with
blending brush or sponge to each area of face and then blend evenly. Blend up and out to
hairlines, extend down to throat and inward towards nose and over eyelids. Notice how the
foundation glides onto the skin giving an even, professional finish without the heavy feel
of makeup.
Something else your skin shows is how you feel about yourself. If you feel bad about you, it
shows. And if you feel good about you, it shows. Remember, the skin has no secrets.
To help create a good feeling, Joni Rogers-Kante, Founder, CEO and Chairwoman of
SeneGence has set up the charitable Make Sense Foundation. This foundation is a non-
profit organization dedicated to helping women in crisis. A percentage of the proceeds from
the sales of The Make Sense Foundation makeup will be donated to this needed charity. In
this way, our Distributors, customers, and employees join together to make a difference in
the lives of others. And that’s something to feel good about!
It also includes SeneShield, which fights the effects of urbanization exposure, helping to
reverse the signs of aging by:
• Reducing the dehydrating effect caused by pollution and free radicals
• Reducing photo aging and wrinkle reduction
• Inhibiting enzymes activated by UV exposure or inflammation which contribute to
the breakdown of collagen
• Adding antioxidants to detoxify
Aribidopsis Extract: a small flowering plant used to help repair damaged skin DNA.
Lecithin: naturally occurring plant source that protects cells from oxidation and
replenishes and repairs skin with its essential fatty acid content. Damage from oxygen
radicals is a main factor in aging and it can come from environmental pollutants, UV-A
induced reactions in skin and from the body’s own stress responses. In addition,
oxygen radicals are the inevitable side-effect of energy production in mitochondria
(parts of cells that conserve energy) of cells. The accumulation of mitochondria is
considered an important element of aging. These radicals damage DNA by oxidizing
its nucleotide bases to for 8-oxo-guanine. This blend shortens the time for nucleus
DNA repair from 24 hours to 2 hours.
Lycium Chinese Fruit Extract, (Goji Berry): a bright red berry from a shrub native to
southeastern Europe and Asia, prized for its high levels of certain phytonutrients likely
to help prevent or treat health conditions caused by oxidation -- cellular damage due
to accumulation of toxins and waste products.
Vaccinum Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract: Rich in flavonoids, citric acid and
vitamin C. Cranberry extract has antioxidant, purifying and antibacterial properties
and is useful as a natural treatment of acne.
Glycerin: a solvent, an emollient, and humectant that helps keep moisture in the
product and helps the product to spread better across a surface-reducing drag and
pull. Non-toxic, non-irritating and non-allergenic to the skin.
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract: Proven effective in boosting the
immune function of skin cells and protecting them against the damaging effects
of the sun. White tea extract is prepared from the unopened buds of the Camellia
Sinensis (green tea) plant, it is a powerful anti-oxidant.
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): Vitamin A is fundamental for increasing skin elasticity
and thickening of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role
in RNA synthesis, known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation
to reveal younger, plumper skin cells which produces new and healthy cells in the
skin and the body.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): Vitamin E, essential for maintaining the activities of
enzymes in the cells and for the formation of red blood cells, is also an anti-oxidant
and has been shown to inhibit skin cancer and aid in the healing of skin ailments.
Vitamin E is a dynamic weapon against premature aging and combating wrinkles
by neutralizing free radicals to stop the chain reaction of molecular damage and to
protect the skin against oxidation. It’s also believed to protect skin from the sun’s
ultraviolet rays once absorbed into the skin.
Zinc PCA: moisturizes the skin and regulates the skin’s sebum production, thereby
controlling excess oil production. Several research studies have shown that zinc is
effective for helping to treat acne and eczema.
Camellia Sinensis (Tea) Leaf Extract: Protects collagen from being broken down.
Studies have shown it also works to reduce UV induced inflammations.
Yellow Iron Oxides (Mint/Green): Pigment shade that helps to camouflage redness.

MakeSense Blender with SenePlex is a pure white creamy color pigment that can be used
to lighten any creamy shade of SenseCosmetics or under MakeSense Foundation as
a highlighter.
Each Concealer shade works by using opposing colors to counteract specific flaws and
their purpose is to even out skin tone. Good concealing is all about light and color. Use light
and color to affect what you see, how you look and ultimately how you feel.

To use as a highlighter- apply White Corrective Color Blender on top of your MakeSense
Foundation shade with a cosmetic brush. Or for a more subtle highlighter, blend with a drop
of MakeSense Foundation before application. The White Blender with SenePlex can be
used as both a highlighter and a concealer. Because of its blending capabilities, any shade
and degree of highlighting and concealing may be achieved.
Color Correctors Concealers with SenePlex and White Blender with SenePlex shades are
removed by using liquid Fooops SenseCosmetics Color Remover.
Tip: For elimination of dark circles, place concealer on the shadow running the length just
beneath the bag, not on the bag itself, otherwise you may end up highlighting rather than
hiding the problem.

LipSense is initially sold as a set, which includes LipSense Liquid Lip Color, a moisturizing
Gloss, and an Ooops! Remover. Users must have a remover in the event they need to
remove the product.
LipSense is a non-wax liquid lip color that stays on your skin. LipSense provides a natural
shield from the sun. The proprietary formulations and color pigments in LipSense help create
a mechanical covering for the lips. That means the skin on your lips are protected from the
sun’s rays by the color pigments. That is just one of the reasons your lips become so smooth
and soft with consistent use of LipSense.
Cosmetic grade Denatured Alcohol is nothing close to Isopropyl Alcohol–or rubbing alcohol.
In fact, you need Denatured Alcohol to apply LipSense to lips, while rubbing alcohol instantly
removes LipSense from the skin. We do not recommend the use of rubbing alcohol on the
skin because it dries out the skin. LipSense is formulated with Denatured Alcohol because:
• It is thinner than water and suspends the tiny particles within the formula.
• It immediately evaporates from the skin upon the delivery of the technology to the
skin. (The “tingling” sensation felt on the lips, when some wearers first begin to
use the color, is the evaporation process of the Denatured Alcohol felt within the
dry cracks of the lips. This sensation disappears as lower layers of skin’s moisture
content are restored by the use of the moisturizing gloss.)
Tiny Particles: The particles that help the color pigments to molecularly bind to the skin
(see Ingredient listing). Over time, the particles begin to detach from the skin’s surface. The
rate at which this occurs varies tremendously and is based upon the pH-balance of each
person’s skin and the color they’ve chosen to wear for the day.
Color Pigments: Each tube of color has a varied formulation and mixture of color pigments
to arrive at a specific color. Some colors naturally last longer than others because of the
different body chemistry of each wearer, plus some colors are thicker or richer in color
pigmentations, while others are sheer and thinner.
Layering LipSense: Layering LipSense is a must due to the fact the color breaks down with
the pH balance of the skin.
1st layer: touches the skin’s pH and will begin to break down first and fastest.
2nd layer: protected from the bottom, away from the skin’s pH, by the first layer.
3rd layer: protects the second layer from the top down and prevents sheering of second
layer of color by keeping away friction, saliva, and the natural environment.
Mica: LipSense Lip Colors formulated with Micas do not tend to wear as long as the solid
matte shades of LipSense. Micas create shine and shimmer. They reflect light and are made
of particles that are larger than color pigments. Micas and may flick off the skin with regular
skin movements. Talking and scraping lip movements like drinking from a cup can facilitate
this process. You can assume up to an hour of less wear when wearing a Mica color.
Denatured Alcohol: used as a delivery system for the color technology; creates a
germ and bacteria-free environment.
Paeonia Suffruticosa Root (Tree Peony) Extract: a natural calming plum flower herb.
Hypericum Perforatum (St. John’s Wort) Extract: also known as St John’s Wort, a
natural herb used to elavate mood and treat depressions.
Tilia Cordata (Linden) Flower Extract: a natural flower extract rich in flavonoids and
a powerful anti-oxidant.
Isodonis Japonicus Extract: Fragrant plant extract that contains terpenes, shown
to have medicinal properties to soothe skin.
Titanium Dioxide: an inert earth mineral used as a thickening ingredient and sunscreen
in cosmetics. It protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have
no risk of skin irritation.
For best results, LipSense products must be applied to clean, dry lips. For a more defined,
finished look, use LinerSense before applying the lip color. LinerSense is our beautiful liquid
lip liner available in many colors that blend with all the LipSense color hues.
LipSense is applied by using a layering technique. After placing color onto the wand,
begin your application at the corner of your mouth, (usually) using the longest length of the
applicator. Keep your lips apart, and follow the natural shape of your lips starting at the outer
corner of the mouth. With one continual stroke, apply one layer of color from one corner
to the other corner of the bottom lip, then one layer of color to the top lip. Apply the color,
moving the applicator in one continuous direction versus going back and forth like you
would with lipstick.
Let each layer set for a few seconds before proceeding to the next. It is not recommended
to apply more than three layers of color. When the application of the third layer of color is
complete and the color has set, apply one of the LipSense Moisturizing Glosses over the
final layer. Do not press lips together until the moisturizing gloss has been applied onto the
last layer of lip color. After applying the gloss, you may press your lips together to smooth
in the moisture rich gloss and enjoy the glorious look and feel of this long-lasting, advanced
color technology!
LipSense Gloss
Moisturizing Glosses not only cover and protect naked
lips but also improve the longevity (staying power)
of LipSense Liquid Lip Color. It provides exceptional
protection from the elements and helps repair dry,
damaged, chapped and/or sensitive lips.
When selling this new color technology to the first-time buyer, you may want to initially
include a Glossy Gloss, Pearl Gloss, or Matte Gloss with the first time set; thus, color
transference will not occur.
Please refer to the current SeneGence Beauty Book for selection offering.
Synthetic Beeswax: A highly refined thickening agent used for its emollient
properties that creates a coating over the lips to help seal in moisture.
When used with LipSense Liquid Lip Color, LipSense Glosses are removed by using liquid
Fooops SenseCosmetics Color Remover.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil): used to treat a wide variety of skin problems including

Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): fundamental for increasing skin elasticity and
thickening of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role in
RNA synthesis, known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation
to reveal younger, plumper skin cells which produces new and healthy cells in the
skin and the body, This process of cell renewal and exfoliation helps to reduce the

and to protect the skin against oxidation. It’s also believed to protect skin from the
sun’s ultraviolet rays once absorbed into the skin.
To completely remove color: Note, LipSense will be easier to remove if you have been
wearing your color for a few hours. First, take a tissue or cotton round wetted with warm
water, and wipe off any gloss you may have on. With your Ooops! wand, apply the product
generously all over lips. Let Ooops! sit on your lips, on top of the color, for about 30 seconds.
This gives the Ooops! formula time to help break down the color. With a tissue or cotton
round wetted with warm water, begin to wipe the Ooops! and the color off. Repeat as needed
to get every last bit of color removed. Finish by wiping lips clean with a damp cotton round.
After removing your color, you may choose to follow with moisturizing LipSense Gloss,
LipVolumizer or Lip Balm, to nourish lips and help them become even softer.

SeneDerm Body Scrub is gentle, yet highly effective and is made for all skin types.
The volcanic ash is crushed into a granular form of varying degrees of fine powder and
particles depending upon which product you are using. Volcanic ash in fine powder form has
the ability to absorb oil or water in much greater masses than the weight of the powder itself.
Meaning, that 1 pound of powdered ash could probably absorb 2 pounds of oil (helping to
remove surface cells and impurities).
Volcanic Ash: from Vanuatu, nature’s natural exfoliate. Gently exfoliates and polishes
the skin while delivering minerals, stimulating circulation to produce a healthy glow
to the skin. Sometimes used to thicken a formulation.
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter: from a cocoa bean; used as a fragrance
ingredient, occlusive skin-conditioning agent, skin protectant, and emollient.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil: used to treat a wide variety of skin problems including
bruises, burns, rash, scabies, skin infections, and wounds.
Glyceryl Stearate: derived from palm kernel or soy oil; an emulsifier that assists in
forming neutral, stable emulsions. It is also a solvent, humectant, and consistency
regulator in water-in-oil and oil-in-water formulations.
Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid (a member of the vitamin B complex)
aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: a surfactant used for the removal of oily residues.
Because of the amount and quality of humectants in the Body Wash, it will moisturize your
skin, even if you forget to! That is why your skin does not feel tight and dry after you towel off.
Butylene Glycol: a humectant that retains scent and preserves against spoilage.
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate: primarily used as a surfactant that causes foaming and
makes water ‘smoother’ by reducing tension that makes for easier spreading.
Loaded with HA, which is a ubiquitous carbohydrate polymer that is part of the extracellular
matrix, this lotion offers unparalleled moisture deliverance to the skin of the body. HA is a
humectant about 100 times more effective than Glycerin. It is the key water-maintaining
substance in human skin. Harsh living environments and aging can cause the decrease of
HA content in skin, and as a result, the water maintaining ability of the skin is weakened
causing the skin to look dry and rough. One of the main causes of skin senility is also the
decrease of polysaccharides, such as HA.
The special structure characteristic of HA makes it highly moisturizing and act as a water
content regulator. Furthermore, its solution has high viscoelasticity and lubricity. Sodium
Hyaluronate holds more water than any other molecule in the body and is necessary to
keep collagen hydrated and youthful. Hyaluronate supports the structure of connective
tissue by acting as a water magnet to maintain extracellular fluidity. HA forms a viscous
fluid with exceptional lubricating properties necessary for the vital functions of many parts
of the human body including the skin, heart valves, aqueous/ vitreous humor of the eye and
synovial fluid (joint lubricant). The skin contains over 50% of the body’s HA. Considering that
skin is over 70% water and renews itself more readily than most other bodily tissues, HA
is absolutely vital for its structure and daily maintenance. It’s constantly involved in cellular
renewal and repair because of daily exposure to solar radiation, pressure, heat, trauma and
wound healing.
The moisture evaporation rate constant of Sodium Hyaluronate is less than that of other
moisturizers. This indicates that it possesses strong water retention properties. When HA
solution is applied on the surface of skin, it can form an air permeable layer and keep the
skin moist and smooth. The small molecular weight of HA can penetrate into the dermis
layer, fully combine with water, promote skin blood microcirculation and nutrient absorption,
and maintain normal metabolism. As a result, it plays a role in wrinkle removal and improving
the health of the skin.
The unique blend of natural oils in the formulation help to strengthen and maintain the
integrity and firmness of skin exposed to the harshness and toxins of the atmosphere.
Sodium Hyaluronate: one of the most powerful moisturizers and humectants known,
it provides smoothness and softening to the skin, excellent anti-wrinkle effects,
promotes growth of new skin cells after peelings, and supports wound healing.
Prunus Domestica (French Plum) Seed Oil: also known as Prune Kernel Oil, it is
gaining worldwide attention for its nutritive role both within cosmeceutical and skin
Bambusa Vulgaris Extract (Golden Bamboo): the richest source of natural Silica,
containing over 70% organic Silica. Silica is lost in the skin as we age. Silica
stimulates chondroblasts providing strength and resilience to collagen and elastin. It
may protect the skin against bacteria and fungus, helping avoid various skin troubles,
and also contains abundant antioxidants and vitamins. It is a rich source of flavone,
phenolic acid, lactone, and polyose.
Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract: keeps specific enzymes known as proteases from
degrading skin proteins such as collagen and elastin, which are responsible for
giving skin its firmness and elasticity. It can therefore protect collagen and elastin
against the damaging effects of proteases activated by aging and through different
types of skin abuse (UV, chemical, immunological, etc.). Used in skin care products,
pea extract acts as an anti-enzyme complex and gives the skin its firmness and
elasticity. A clinical study has demonstrated significant improvement in skin elasticity
(+16.7%) after just three weeks of treatment with pea extract.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter: Shea Butter is considered a plant lipid. Lipids
are the oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture evaporation from the
skin and provide lubrication to the skin’s surface. Lipids are considered a natural
moisturizer. In addition to moisturization, this natural cream is often used to treat
many skin problems, including blemishes, wrinkles, itching, sunburns, small skin
wounds, eczema, skin allergies, insect bites, frost bite, and other skin conditions.
Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A): fundamental for increasing skin elasticity and
thickening of the epidermis and the dermis. Vitamin A plays an important role in
RNA synthesis, known for its cellular renewal properties that speed up exfoliation
to reveal younger, plumper skin cells which produces new and healthy cells in the
skin and the body.
Yeast Extract: a dietary source of folic acid (a member of the vitamin B complex)
aids in formation of new healthy tissues and promotes new cell formation.
Orchis Mascula (Orchid) Flower Extract: This powerful anti-oxidant provides free-
radical protection and maximum moisturization. Orchid extract is very effective as a
sunscreen.

thereby controlling excess oil production. Several research studies have shown that
zinc is effective for helping to treat acne and eczema.
DHA (Dihydroxyacetone)
The DHA that we use in our Bronzing Coconut Milk is derived from environmentally-friendly
plant sources. It provides a water-resistant, long-lasting tan. DHA reacts with the proteins of
your cells which, in turn, darkens the shade of the cell.
Benefits of DHA:
Natural and water resistant: the tan gradually fades as the dead cells of the horny
layer flake off.
Fast and long lasting: the color change is visible within a few hours and lasts over
3-7 days. Repeated applications every 2 to 3 days maintain the intensity of the tan.
Erythrulose is a natural keto-sugar which reacts with free primary or second amino groups
in the upper layers of the epidermis. This reaction produces a color comparable to the
appearance of a natural sun tan. Erythrulose produces a less intense, but longer lasting tan
than DHA. This is why the combination of Erythrulose and DHA is ideal in a self-tanning
product. This ingredient also helps to overcome known disadvantages of self-tanning, such
as streaking and skin drying. When combined with DHA, Erythrulose leads to a more reliable
and pleasing self-tanning experience.
When combined with DHA, Erythrulose produces a longer-lasting tan than just DHA on its
own.
Algotan (Water & Hydrolyzed Algin & Magnesium Sulfate & Manganese Sulfate)
Algotan is a blend of ingredients that induce tanning without UV. At the same time, Algotan
protects cells against UV damage and helps protect the skin’s immunity against UV.

product and helps the product to spread better across a surface – reducing drag and
pull. Non-toxic, non-irritating and non- allergenic to the skin.
Cetearyl Wheat Straw Glycosides: Gluten free. An emulsifier used to blend and oil
and water together. Used as a conditioning agent.
Cetearyl Alcohol: used as an emulsion stabilizer, opacifying agent, and foam boosting
surfactant, as well as an aqueous and non-aqueous viscosity-increasing agent. It
imparts an emollient feel to the skin and can be used in water-in-oil emulsions, oil-
in-water emulsions.
Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil: a plant derived vegetable oil that has rapid skin
penetration and leaves a velvety feel.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: acts as a base; an oily liquid made from coconut oil.
Hydrolyzed Algin: derived from Algae or Seaweed. Component of the Algotan blend
that induces tanning without UV.
Manganese Sulfate: manganese salt. Component of the Algotan blend that induces
tanning without UV.
Hydrolyzed Prunus Domestica (Plum) Seed Oil: also known as Prune Kernel Oil,
Plum Oil demonstrates the dramatic ability to nourish, moisturize and improve skin
elasticity. It has a light texture, quick absorption and delicate fruity/almond-like
aroma that naturally adds a slight touch of scent to high end formulations.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter): considered as a plant lipid. Lipids are the
oil and fat components of skin that prevent moisture evaporation from the skin and
provide lubrication to the skin’s surface. Lipids are considered as a natural moisturizer.
It is a rich source of flavone,

giving skin its firmness and elasticity.
Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Extract: Proven effective in boosting the immune
function of skin cells and protecting them against the damaging effects of the sun.
White tea extract is prepared from the unopened buds of the Camellia Sinensis
(green tea) plant, it is a powerful anti-oxidant.
Zinc PCA: moisturizes the skin and regulates the skin’s sebum production thereby
controlling excess oil production. Several research studies have shown that zinc is
effective for helping to treat acne and eczema.
DHA
Self-Tanning Bronzing Coconut Milk contains Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). According to the
American Academy of Dermatology, the most effective self-tanning products contain
Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) as the active ingredient. The tan is a chemical reaction between
the DHA and the amino acids and proteins in the outer layer on the skin surface. It is not a
dye, stain or paint. The reaction is non-toxic and skin safe, without the damage associated
Skin Sensitivity
Some people may be sensitive or allergic to this DHA ingredient. Try a test run with a dab on
a small section of skin before covering the entire body. If there seems to be an uncomfortable
reaction, discontinue use at once.
Water Exposure
Although Self-Tanning Bronzing Coconut Milk is water-resistant, long exposure to water,
with or without chlorine, will fade a sunless tan; outer skin cells soak up water, and dilute
the tanning effect. The longer skin is exposed to water, the faster skin will fade. Using the
product regularly over a period of time will saturate the coloring of the skin better with the
coloring ingredient affecting maximum layers of skin’s protein layer, and the sunless tan will
last longer in water.
Caution if Pregnant
If you’re pregnant or nursing, experts recommend checking with your physician before
applying a sunless tanner. According to the American Pregnancy Association, DHA is
considered safe for pregnant woman. However, their editors also say, “The only concern
is whether the active ingredient, Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), is able to penetrate the skin.
Studies do not confirm that it can, but some health care providers encourage women to wait
until after the first trimester, just to play it safe.”
We often think of good health in conjunction with glowing skin, but a glowing, bronzed color
that is obtained from the sun or from tanning beds can accelerate the effects of aging, and
even lead to serious skin health issues, such as skin cancer.
Sun exposure causes most of the skin changes that we think of as a normal part of aging.
Over time, the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) light damages the fibers in the skin called elastin. When
these fibers break down, the skin begins to sag, stretch, and lose its ability to go back into
place after stretching. The skin also bruises and tears more easily -- taking longer to heal.
What you are left with is fine lines and wrinkles, instead of plump, hydrated skin.
It is crucial to protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays everyday- whether it is clear and
sunny outside, or cloudy. Even on a cloudy or overcast day, up to 80% of the sun’s UV
rays can pass through the clouds! Additionally, UV rays can pass through glass, so it is
important to protect your skin indoors as well. Sitting next to a window, or driving in a car,
harmful rays can hit your skin. It just makes sense to add sunscreen to a part of your daily
morning routine.
Protect your skin with SeneSun SunScreen, which provides SPF 30 protection. Not only
will it protect your skin from harmful UV rays, but it also provides another layer of anti-aging
protection with SenePlex Complex.

Forms of Fragrance
Parfum
Parfum is the strongest concentrated form of fragrance. It provides a pure scent experience
and lasts many hours, or all day, after being applied. As such, this form of fragrance is the
most valuable and sought after in the marketplace. Women’s fine fragrances are traditionally
manufactured as Eau de Parfum or Eau de Toilette strength. Parfums should be applied at
the pulse points (neck, wrists, behind ears, etc.). The heat of the body at these points will
assure a well-balanced fragrance application.
Eau de Parfum
Eau de Parfum is found in many of the fine fragrance collections; it assures a long-lasting
application, although it is not as concentrated or as long-lasting as Parfum. It should be
smoothed or sprayed, just before dressing, all over the body from the feet up.
Cologne
Cologne is diluted even further in strength compared to Eau de Toilette. Cologne is the
lightest form of fragrance. Cologne is made for splashing liberally all over the body. It is the
perfect solution to use as a refreshing touch-up throughout the day. It does not provide a
long-lasting fragrance application.
Fragrance Classifications
Fragrances can be classified into several families by the themes of the fragrances. Here are
just a few:
Floral: fragrances that are dominated by the scent of one or more types of flowers.
Fresh/Green: light, fresh character of botanical or citrus notes often combined with
more feminine scents (flowers and fruits).
Fruity: An old fragrance family that until recently consisted mainly of “freshening” eau
de colognes due to the low tenacity of fruit scents. Development of newer fragrance
compounds has allowed for the creation of fruit-forward fragrances.
Orientals or Ambers: a large fragrance class featuring the scents of vanilla and
animal scents together with flowers and woods. Scents bring to mind images of the
Far East.
Essential Oils
• Parfum: 20- 40% essential oils (most expensive form of fragrance).
• Eau de Parfum: 10 to 20% essential oils.
• Eau de Toilette: 5 to 15 % essential oils.
• Eau de Cologne: 3 to 8% essential oils (least expensive form of fragrance).
For those who crave super subtlety, Eau de Fraiche (or body splash), with 1 to 3% essential
oils, is the lightest dilution of fragrance.
Structure of a Scent
Fragrance notes are used to describe the various scents within a fragrance. Fragrance
develops at different stages based on the notes. Here is a summary of the 3 different notes.
Top Note: creates scents that form a person’s initial impression of a perfume. The top note
provides the “Wow” factor of a fragrance, as it can be somewhat bold. The aromas that
contribute to top notes evaporate quickly. Top notes last for 5-30 minutes after application.
Middle Note (Heart Note): emerges as the top note fades. The middle note imparts the true
personality and character of the fragrance. Scents from this note stage become evident
anywhere from 2 minutes to 1 hour after the application of a perfume. Middle notes last
several hours after top notes dissipate.
Base/Bottom Note: tenaciously holds the entire fragrance until the previous impression/note
disappears. The compounds of this layer are usually not identified until up to 30 minutes
after the application of the perfume, and can last up to 24 hours after middle notes dissipate.
Abundance Parfums
On the surface, fragrance seems simple: a scented liquid that you spritz onto your skin with
the simple, straight-forward goal of ‘smelling good’. Yet, scent conjures potent reactions
and memories. Fragrance is invisible, yet all-powerful and may arouse a spectrum of moods.
The right fragrance can make you FEEL alluring, confident, and comfortable, but how often
has the right fragrance made you LOOK that way too?
Abundance Fresh Parfum is a Fresh/Green fragrance that has refreshing scent notes,
including:
Abundance Fresh unfolds as a tranquil wave filled with dewy orange blossom, sweet
osmanthus and blue freesia buds float towards a wedge of salted driftwood.
Abundance Lush Parfum is a Fruity/Floral fragrance with exotic and luxurious scent notes,
including:
Abundance Lush is inspired by an exotic paradise where luscious notes of juicy passion
fruit, coconut milk and exotic carambola billow from a colorful bouquet of tropical jasmine,
hibiscus and vanilla flowers.
Abundance Bloom Parfum is a Floral fragrance with feminine, warm notes of blooms and
fruit, including:
Abundance Bloom is sweet and delicate with a touch of intrigue; this beautiful mélange
of lush pears, blooming freesias and pink rose petals dance under an alluring cloud of
mysterious patchouli, glowing amber and light musk.
As Abundance Parfums “mature” on your skin, the scents grow richer and more memorable.
By including SenePlex Complex, your skin improves as well. You’ll experience the anti-aging
benefits of SenePlex while creating a lasting fragrance impression.
Always wait for the true scent/aroma of the Parfum to emerge after it is applied. This may
take 5-10 minutes. Do not judge it immediately after it is applied. Fragrances can smell
different on different people as the oils combine with everyone in a slightly different way.
Keep your bottle of Abundance away from direct heat and out of sunlight to maintain its
beautiful color tint.
Essential Parfum Oils- the finest and purest oils sourced for each fragrance. Read
about each fragrance note above.
Algae Extract: hydrates, protects skin from the sun, and softens the skin. It is
essential in the penetration of the top layer of the stratum corneum and enhances
the skin’s ability to repair itself.
From time-to-time, you may find it necessary to validate our product claims. You may offer
copies of our Independent Clinical Test Results (found in this manual) and the following
official SeneGence statement regarding the validity of our product claims to any person who
questions our product.
Product Claims
SeneGence Stands Behind its Product Claims – 100%
We believe everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. But from our standpoint at
SeneGence International, we believe actual independent laboratory clinical test results
are far more significant than personal opinions; particularly since those opinions may be
based primarily on an unsubstantiated analysis of the ingredients/content of the products
taken out of context as opposed to scientific test results on actual people and scientific
measurement procedures.
The published test results of the Independent Testing Lab confirmed the preliminary findings
of the formulator, but more importantly, the Independent Testing Laboratory was able to
quantify the actual test numbers and clinical findings. Those published results of the
Independent Testing Lab showed that in ALL THE AREAS TESTED, ALL TEST SUBJECTS
SHOWED SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS. The clinical conclusions in this study provided
results showing that the SeneDerm SkinCare product used in the tests was highly effective
in increasing cellular renewal.
Additional results proved that the SeneGence product substantially improved the skin’s
qualitative appearance across six important aesthetic measurements; improving skin
moisturization, skin firmness and elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, increasing
luminosity and clarity, and increasing skin thickness. The overall reduction of fine lines
and wrinkles was 55.7 %; the test subject with the least improvement was 46 % fewer
Published Results
We believe in our products so much that we publish for today’s discriminating consumer the
actual Independent Laboratory test results in our SeneGence Beauty Books and promise to
all customers this unconditional money back guarantee ... try our products for an eight (8)
week period just like the test subjects did. If at the end of that period you are unsatisfied

MakeSense Concealer/Blender
Shades for the Sun
Everyone’s skin turns a few shades darker in the Summertime, even if you’re diligent
about applying sun protection. If you’re tan and want to cover only imperfections, apply a
MakeSense Concealer or a MakeSense Foundation shade that’s at least one shade darker
than your regular color. Using a SenseCosmetics Blush Brush blend onto skin a SeneDerm
Translucid Loose Bronzer in place of liquid foundation.
Natural Concealing
Blending is the key! After applying first layer of MakeSense Foundation and selecting the
correct shade for a specific need (names of concealer will make selection simple), dot
concealer in the areas needed; pat gently using a cosmetic sponge or blending brush. If
area is still discolored, layer a dot of foundation over the concealer and gently pat until
the two are blended together. Set with your chosen shade of SeneDerm Translucid Loose
Powders and go!
To conceal darkness and bags under the eyes, place the concealer on the shadow running
the length just beneath the bag, not the bag itself; otherwise you’ll end up highlighting,
rather than hiding the problem.
Look Younger
Remove years from your face by applying a slightly lighter concealer or MakeSense
Foundation shade to the downward turning lines at the corner of your mouth.
LipSense Substitute
Use ShadowSense as the first lip shade layer to help create a rich matte lip look.
ShadowSense
Shadow for Blush
Many ShadowSense shades may be used as Blush for cheeks.
Tattoo Peek-a-boo
Use natural skin shades of ShadowSense to help hide tattoos.
LipSense
Layering
Always demonstrate the layering process of LipSense at each and every demonstration to
make sure customers understand the importance of layering. The best way to do this is to
use a Highlighter, Ice or Shimmer Shade as the third layer.
Tacky Lips
Be sure to keep your lips apart while applying LipSense, and resist the urge to press your
lips together like you would with regular lipsticks. Pressing the lips together is not necessary
to disperse the color, and it may create a tacky feel to you.
LinerSense
Line Lips & Eyes
Use LinerSense as eyeliner to expand eye look choices.
Ooops! Remover
De-Spotter
Dab Ooops! Remover onto any LipSense spots spilled on clothing. Let set and wipe with
warm water just before it dries completely.
EyeSense
Beauty Mark
Use EyeSense shades to draw a natural looking-perfectly-placed beauty mark on cheek or
throat. It won’t budge.
LashSense
Wand Application
The wand of LashSense is curved. When applying LashSense turn the curve away from the
eye. This will allow you to reach even the tiniest of lashes to make lashes look thicker.
LipDimension
Use as highlighters for your lips to give them extra dimension. Apply Bronzer before lip color
dries and prior to application of moisturizing gloss.
SeneDerm BodyCare
Body Wash
Demoing Body Wash
At your demos, drop a dollop of Body Wash onto the Pooof, then dampen the Pooof with
some water from a glass. Rub the Body Wash and Pooof across your arm. Guests will be
amazed at the amount of lather. Let dry naturally and let guests feel how smooth and moist
your skin feels.
Body Scrub
Exfoliation Tips; Mechanical versus Chemical
There are two main types of exfoliates: mechanical and chemical.
Mechanical exfoliating is skin treatment where the upper layers of dead skin cells are
sloughed off by a loofah sponge, brush, or by other means. Mechanical exfoliating products
contain minuscule pieces of grit that, when rubbed on your skin, dislodge the dead skin
cells. The SeneGence preferred grit comes from volcanic ash and various other mild and
natural ingredients within the skin care line.
Chemical exfoliating does the same task as their mechanical siblings but by using a variety
of acids in place of the grit. Chemical exfoliating products usually contain alpha-hydroxy
acids, beta-hydroxy acids, or salicylic acids and literally burn and peel the surface cells from
the skin. We do not encourage harsh exfoliation of this type.
Moisture is a Must
If you exfoliate your face regularly with a mask or scrub, keep moisturizer on your face at all
times as the moisturizer helps to minimize moisture loss.
Cellulite Exfoliation
Women with cellulite should try to exfoliate the thighs daily, if possible. Alternatively, use an
exfoliating hand glove when washing, in order to stimulate the blood circulation and dispose
of toxic waste products.
Male Exfoliation
One of the reasons men’s skin may tend to look more youthful than women’s is because
men tend to exfoliate daily when they shave.
Hand Cream
Hand Massage
Treat someone special! Give your partner a mental makeover with a hand massage! Hold
your hand with your partner’s palm facing upwards, and your thumbs opposite each other,

Instead of removing SenseCosmetics with Fooops, use SeneDerm Shea Butter Body Cream.
Gently massage a generous amount into skin, all over your face and throat and watch make-
up melt away. It’s true! (Remember the commercial for good old-fashioned cold cream?)
Without first rinsing; gently place a warm wash cloth on your face. Let the steam and stress
fade away. Rinse and repeat using a clean warm wet wash cloth until the color is no longer
seen on the wash cloth.
For normal to oily skin types–you need not cleanse any further. Simply apply nightly
moisturizers – Climate Control, SeneSerum-C, and Evening Moisturizer.
For normal to dry skin types–you may choose to follow with washing your face with 3 in 1
Cleanser (or not). , and moisturize with your choice of evening moisturizers–Climate Control,
SeneSerum-C, and Evening Moisturizer. Your skin will feel amazing! This is one of Joni’s
favorite ways to pamper her skin at the end of a long day!
Massage Cream
SeneDerm Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex is a wonderful massage lubricant as it
works deep into the tissue to repair skin damaged from dryness, cuts, old scars and over-
exposure due to outdoor elements.
Pedicure Pretty
Prepare feet for pretty Summer sandals the easy way. Treating rough, dry feet by applying
SeneDerm Shea Butter Body Cream with SenePlex and massaging the cream well into
skin of clean, moist feet every night will alleviate the pain (and appearance ) of dry feet. You
would do well to ALSO start the day with a dab! Finish with Nailextend - it works on toes too!
SenePlex Complex
Q) What are the core building blocks of increased cellular renewal &
moisture content?
A) SenePlex Complex – a Kinetic ezyme that increases cellular renewal.
Q) Do the gained benefits (Makes skin more beautiful AS LONG AS YOU USE
PRODUCT) reverse themselves when product is discontinued; if so at
what pace?
A) The actives can only work when applied; therefore if one discontinues the use of
the products, the actives are not present. Cells are no longer exposed to the actives;
therefore the cellular renewal cycles revert back to their standard original growth
rate. The period of time will be determined by individual users standard growth cycle;
perhaps two; three … or four months.
Terms
Q) What does Hypoallergenic mean?
A) Marketing concept; Hypo – “No one is allergic to the ingredients of this product.“
(Impossible to make such claims but accepted by the public as a quality
standard description).
Ingredients
Q) Do SeneGence products contain the acids and poisons from Vanuatu?
A) There are no acids NOR poisons from Vanuatu in our products.
Q) I see that some items contain parabens. What are they and what are they
used for?
A) Parabens are a preservative. They are wax-free, animal-free parabens, and they are
safe to use. We do not make items you must refrigerate after use so we’ve included
the safest, most advanced, and versatile preservatives to ensure the actives are not
contaminated. The use of natural extracts and actives in body lotions, washes etc.
dictates the uses of preservatives to ensure the integrity of the product when stored.
Q) What kind of grain is the ethyl alcohol derived from; are there any
animal derivatives?
A) MGP Ingredients alcohol is derived from Corn, Wheat and Milo. There are no
animal derivatives.
Sun Protection
Q) What is the difference between a mechanical shield and a
chemical shield?
A) A chemical shield requires certain chemicals that will react with the UV light and
block the rays from the skin. A mechanical shield has nothing to do with chemicals.
It is a protective covering; like placing a garment over your skin for protection from
sun exposure.
SeneDerm SkinCare
Q) How long does each product last before having to purchase a refill?
A) Skin care usage is based upon the hygiene habits of the user. Here is a
general estimation:
Cleanser – 1 to 6 months
Daytime Moisturizer – 1 ½ to 4 months
Evening Moisturizer – 2 to 4 months
3-in-1 Cleanser
Q) How do I know which 3-in-1 Cleanser to recommend?
A) Here are some general rules of thumb:
Women over age 30 tend to have Normal to Dry or Dry Skin
Climate Control
Q) When in your skin care regime do you apply Climate Control?
A) Climate Control should be applied directly to clean skin before any other
moisturizing product.
SeneSerum-C
Q) When do I use SeneSerum-C?
A) After Climate Control and before Day or Evening Moisturizer.
DayTime Moisturizers
Q) Can I use the Daytime Moisturizer at night?
A) Yes, however Evening Moisturizer offers a longer lasting protective layer from free
radicals to skin while sleeping.
EyeCrème
Q) Is EyeCrème applied to both the upper lid and skin below the eye?
A) You may apply EyeCrème to both areas. However if eyelids are oily it will probably
be unnecessary.
EyeLuminator
Q) Can I use EyeLuminator at night?
A) Yes, but why would you? It’s a highlighter. It is best used as a part of your
makeup routine. It is best applied under the eye area after application of
MakeSense Foundation.
SeneDerm Solutions
LashExtend
Q) Once my eyelashes have grown, how often do I use LashExtend Clear?
A) Apply to base of lashes twice a day two to three times per week to maintain your new
longer lashes. Or use LashExtend Black or Brown as eyeliner a few days a week.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
Q) Once the desired decrease in wrinkle depth has been achieved how often
shall I use Anti-Wrinkle Treatment?
A) To maintain desired results use twice daily.
BlushSense
Q) Can I apply BlushSense directly onto my skin, even without the use of
MakeSense Foundation?
A) Yes. BlushSense is good for your skin and will deliver a natural looking blush tone
to cheeks.
ShadowSense
Q) Why do the eye shadows burn some eyelids?
A) Eye Lids tend to be extremely sensitive and, most often quite dry. Before
application of Foundation or any other SenseCosmetic, use EyeCrème on the eyelid.
This will moisturize and protect sensitive eyelids.
In some cases, burning sensations on the eyelid simply mean the shadow has grown
bacteria within the tube due to exposure to bacteria transferred from skin to the
applicator, then from the applicator to inside of the tube. Discontinue use of shadows.
Throw them away. It’s time to purchase new tubes.
In rare cases some women may not be able to use the product on their eyes as they
are sensitive to SenePlex or micas contained within the formulas.
Q) Does SeneGence have any LipSense or Lip Gloss that are both free of
wheat and gluten?
A) Yes, our Lip color and gloss do NOT contain wheat or gluten.
LipSense Gloss
Q) Is there an SPF for the glosses?
A) No.
Ooops! Remover
Q) Do my customers have to purchase an Ooops! Remover every time they
purchase a LipSense shade?
A) No. However, it is essential and a recommendation of SeneGence that the Distributor
sells an Ooops! to each ‘first time buyer.’ A LipSense customer must have a color
remover in the event it is necessary to remove the color from lips. It can also be helpful
in attempting to remove spilled lip color on clothing.
EyeSense
Q) EyeSense seems to ‘burn’ my eyes. Why?
A) EyeSense original formula is formulated with Denatured Alcohol that evaporates
from the brush into the atmosphere. The sensitive nerve ending on the eyes feels the
evaporation process. It is not burning.
BrowSense
Q) BrowSense seems to be difficult to remove when I wash my face. Why?
A) You MUST remove BrowSense with Fooops SenseCosmetics Color Remover or Pads
as it ‘unbinds’ the color technology from the skin. If Fooops is not used it may be
possible the color that binds to the skin will remove the top layer of skin when rubbed
off with pressure.
LashSense
Q) Does our mascara contain mercury?
A) No.
Q) Why?
A) Talc is a very safe, natural-absorbing mineral. That is why it is used to absorb moisture
on babies’ bottoms. One would never use a pore-clogger (comedogenic) on a baby’s
bottom! It is so safe that Board Certified Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons use
talc in their surgeons’ gloves. The key cause of pore clogging in humans is improper
cleansing of the skin.
Body Care
Q) Does the body care (used together) have any SPF properties?
A) No. Using the SeneDerm Daytime Moisturizer with original MakeSense Foundation will
achieve a mechanical shield equivalency SPF 30 sun protection.
Body Wash
Q) Can I use Body Wash without a Body Poof?
A) Yes. However, you will use more product than is necessary because the product was
formulated to ‘aerate.’ The product expands with air and when used with a Poof a
quarter size dollop will cleanse and moisturize your entire body.
Body Scrub
Q) Do I need a different product to use as a scrub for my feet and hands?
A) No. Body Scrub has plenty of exfoliates and essentials oils to soften and smooth the
skin on these over- exposed areas of the body.
SeneDerm SenePlex
Complex
Summary
SeneDerm SkinCare products are blended with natural botanical extracts, marine algae,
vitamins, liposomes, and essential oils to encourage new cellular growth. This is a powerful
combination of vitamins to protect the skin from cell-destroying free radicals. Our skin care
products incorporate the latest discoveries backed by clinical studies with documented
results. The use of UGL Complex increases the rate of the epidermal skin cell renewal
which in turn, improves skin properties including anti-aging effects. Our skin care treatment
with SeneDerm products containing SenePlex Complex also significantly reduced skin
pigmentation and consequently improved skin clarity and luminosity. But possibly the most
important clinical fact was that after 8 weeks of testing, EVERY SINGLE PERSON tested
showed a significant reduction in the number of facial fine lines and wrinkles with the overall
average reduction being 55.7% FEWER FINE LINES AND WRINKLES THAN THEY HAD
PRIOR TO BEGINNING THE CLINICAL STUDY.
Test Results
The following information contains results of independent laboratory tests and clinical
studies performed over an 8-week period on twenty female subjects ranging from 18 to 55
years of age with varying oily, normal, and dry skin types. SeneDerm Evening Moisturizer
was used in these tests. Remarkably, ALL areas tested showed significant improvement on
ALL the test subjects.
Cellular Renewal
The product treatment was shown to be highly effective in increasing cell renewal with an
average increase in cell renewal rate of 23.3%. Additionally, statistical analysis has revealed
that the difference seen between treatment and control groups are significant at 95%
confidence limit level.
Test results for Firmness & Elasticity can be reviewed on TABLES 2A and 2B below.
We find it remarkable that EVERY test subject benefited by having fewer fine lines and

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
Summary
One of the most striking signs of skin aging is the intensity of frown and wrinkle lines of the
forehead, between the eyes, the nasal area reaching from the base of the nose to the corner
of the mouth, the chin, upper lip, and neck area. This occurs in time and is affected by certain
biochemical, genetic, and physiological factors enhanced by environmental exposure.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment is formulated with ingredients that reduce the intensity of wrinkle
lines (and therefore the depth) while at the same time stimulate cell production and restore
proper moisture content of cells to produce fuller, plumper cells in areas that are recessed.
Test Results
The goal of the test was to prove the combination of complex ingredients down-regulate
muscle action either directly or by attenuating the activity of the innervating neurone while
another results in a decrease of their excitability and a consequent relaxation of muscle
contraction. Both mechanisms are complementary and work together as an effective
muscles relaxant and to prove the wrinkle reduction efficacy.
The macro-roughness of the silicon replica, which corresponds to the contour of the eye
area was obtained from twenty-seven (27) volunteers. The treatment lasted four (4) weeks
with application twice a day. The fragments of selected wrinkles were clean, with no makeup,
hairs, or cracks.
Conclusion
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment is formulated with a “Calming Complex” of
peptides and unique, natural ingredients acting synergistically together to
calm muscle action by easing the activity of certain innervating neuron,
significantly reducing the intensity of frown and wrinkle lines while another
formulation ingredient causes relaxation of the muscle contraction in the
area where Anti-Wrinkle treatment is applied.
Delivery Systems
A delivery system is exactly what ‘delivery system’ says. It is an ingredient or combination
of ingredients or even a method that ‘deliver’ other beneficial ingredients upon or into a
specific place or region. For example, in an aerosol hairspray, the delivery system is the
aerosol form. Delivery system for shampoo is a liquid water base.
The delivery systems within each of the SeneGence products vary but the end results
have much in common. They each deliver to the specified area of the skin through liquids,
creams, gels, oils, and lotions products with ingredients that really work to help make skin
more beautiful.
The Glossary of Ingredients and Terms also serves as an opportunity to teach. Some of
the explanations for various ingredients listed have educational, historical, medical, and
theoretical content that may be of interest and amusement to the reader.
The goal of providing a Glossary of Ingredients is to hopefully give the reader a pretty good
indication that the product they are learning about is made of very good ingredients that are
also good for their skin, health, and over-all well being.
