PRE SMASHUP EVENT

DATE- 5 AND 6 NOVEMBER 2014

Entrepreneurship Development Cell MNIT organised Pre Smashup event at the

PEs on 5th and 6th November. 16 teams participated which came from all over
Rajasthan from colleges like BITS Pilani, IIT Jodhpur from which 3 teams
namely, Rentmebook, AapkaAuto, BGM- Bargaining masters were from MNIT
Jaipur. These teams were shortlisted from an event previously held at colleges
all over Rajasthan including MNIT Jaipur. 10 teams were to be selected from
the vent which would participate at the national level of the TIE B Plan
competition.

The teams began arriving on the day of the event i.e. 5th November and were
given accommodation at the Guest house.

The event began at 5 pm at PE1 where the teams were introduced and briefed
about how the event would proceed. Each team was allotted two mentors to
guide them and help them build their business plans and financials along with
a presentation that was to be presented to the judges later. Every team was
allotted a space at the PEs where they would go under intensive mentoring
and guidance to take their business plan even more viable and stronger. This
went on till evening and dinner was provided at the guest house where teams
interacted with each other. After this the mentoring resumed and teams
worked on their start-ups under constant guidance. This went on till late night.
Teams were provided snacks and tea at proper intervals for their comfort. The
next day that is 6th November teams were supposed to give a practice
presentation to the mentors present at the event before the actual pitching
before the judges. After providing the teams with proper breakfast they were
given time to prepare for the practice presentation in the morning .At 11 am
the practice presentations began were every tea was given 5 minutes to pitch
their idea after which the mentors present questioned them and added their
suggestions to the presentations to prepare the teams for the final pitching.
Finally at 5 pm the judges arrived and the teams were ready for the final
pitching. Here, the teams were given 5 minutes to pitch their idea after which
judges question them. The teams were judged on the basis of their idea,
viability, financials, strategy etc. Finally after every team pitched their idea the
event was concluded and dinner provided to all the teams.

It was a really successful event where many innovative ideas emerged and
were given shape by proper mentoring. Ideas like Rentmebook-College specific
book rental system, AapkaAuto-Auto rental service, BGM- Bargining masters
from our college were really appreciate also great ears from other college
included EduLyft- A student assessment platform, Trekking Toes- Travel
experience provider and many more. This event really motivated and was a
boost for all the members of ED Cell MNIT.
