I personally give more credence to the documentary, Give Up
Tomorrow as it sheds more light to the truth. The general rule is
that the Supreme Court is not a trier of facts. It is not the function of the Supreme Court to examine, review or evaluate the evidence all over again because the trial court is in a better position to examine real evidence, as well as to observe the demeanor of the witnesses while testifying in the case. Therefore, the Supreme Court, in most cases, merely relies on the records of the trial courts in their rulings. There being no exceptions stated or cogent reasons to disturb the findings of the trial court, the SC, in the case of People vs. Larranaga, used as its basis the factual findings of the trial court. How then can I find such decision honest and truthful when it was based upon one-sided and biased facts?
