Ensayo de Dureza

Resumen
Abstract
In this practice, the objective was to determine the hardness of different types of materials,
to evaluate their behavior against plastic deformations caused by penetration of indenters
harder than the materials analyzed, for which Rockwell and Brinell hardness tests were
used, in which measures the indentation footprint to calculate a hardness value, a
durometer was used for each hardness, in which a sample of the material to be tested was
used with two flat and parallel surfaces, placing them carefully on the work base of the
durometer and applying a load according to the scale chosen for said material, it was
obtained that steel is the hardest material of the tested and it was also concluded that
aluminum is harder than copper and thus more useful for applications in the which would
have to support heavy loads, it is recommended to carry out the practice waxing the
equipment well before using them and using instr measuring instruments with better
accuracy for example a vernier.
