Example
Design a pair of straight bevel gears to transmit 0.75 hp at
a pinion speed of 1800 rpm. The gear speed should be
approximately 475 rpm. Consider both strength and
pitting resistance. The driver is an electric motor, and the
driven machine is a reciprocating saw.
