Then select the resume of your personal choice. Once you finish with this resume,
transfer it in the main documents third page. Then, in the footer of this page include

Part B – SPREADSHEET

You will use the skills learned in Practical 5 to complete this part.

1. Download the spreadsheet named supermarket.xlsx from the Assignment 2 folder on

Moodle.
2. Write a function to calculate the total in cell J3. Copy and paste this function to the rest
of the cells in column J.
3. Write a function to calculate the highest sales in K3. Copy and paste this function to
the rest of the cells in column K.
4. Write a function to calculate the lowest sales in L3. Copy and paste this function to the
rest of the cells in column L.
5. Write a function to calculate the total in cell C116. Copy and paste this function to the
rest of the cells in row 116.
6. Write a function to calculate the average in cell C117. Copy and paste this function to
the rest of the cells in row 117.
7. Now use the VLOOKUP function in cell M3 by using the table given on the top right
(comments table) to determine the comments by looking up the total in cell J3 against
the comments table. Make sure to keep the cell reference of the vlookup table N3:O6 as
absolute in this function. Only then, copy and paste this function to the rest of the cells
in column M. Auto adjust the width of columns so that all contents appear clearly.
8. Now create charts separately for each category of products. First you will need to sort
your data by categories. Highlight cells A2:M114, click on Data tab and then select sort.
Then select sort by column – category. You must use a 3D Column chart. Do the
necessary formatting to make your chart professionally presentable. There are ten
categories so this mean there, should be a total of ten charts. Move any five of these
charts as chart “on its own”. This means there should be a total of five more worksheets
as charts only. You must rename these sheet tabs as the name of the category itself. Eg
Snacks chart sheet tab renamed to Snacks.
9. Format the worksheet with appropriate font and fill colors, keep the formatting
consistent. Use the same font type, color and fill color for the title rows/headings. Apply
borders to the entire worksheet. Format the title row as merge and center across cells
A1:M1.
10. Now copy the data (Range: A2:M114) and paste as values only in a new worksheet
(second one). Name this worksheet as DATASET. Save and exit your Excel. In total you
should now have seven worksheets in your workbook. (Products, DATASET, Chart1,
Chart2, Chart3, Chart4 and Chart5). Make sure you have renamed the chart tab names.
11. Save this workbook as or save and rename it as SXXXXXXXX_Part B where SXXXXXXXX
is your ID#.
