I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
a. compare and contrast the three versions of the legend through the help of Venn Diagram
b. appreciate the value of knowing the consequences of one’s action
c. use context clues to get the meaning of unfamiliar words

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Why the Sky is High (Tagalog, Iloko, and Hiligaynon)

1. Motivation
Before we start the lesson I would like to give you some tasks associated with the sky.
Task 1. My Multi-Layered Sky
The students will be given an illustration of the sky. They will write down words that
they may associate around the drawing.

Sky

The students will answer some questions related to the sky after they have completed the task.
1. Among all of the given words, which one is the actual representation of the sky?
2. How are clouds formed? Give a brief explanation
3. Are you all ready watching a short clip on how the clouds are formed?

Task 2. What would life be like?


Imagine how life would be like if we have a sky that is low. List the advantages and
disadvantages inside the corresponding arrows.

Map.
