Doubling of Farmers’ Income by 2022 – aimed at increasing farmers’ income for which various schemes

and plans have been formulated.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Jyoti Yojana launched in 2015 to provide electrification to rural areas
with a total outlay of Rs 76,000 Crore. 100% villages (5,97,464 as per census 2011) have been electrified
as in May 2018 GARV Website and a mobile app launched for real time and transparent monitoring.

MAKE IN INDIA, launched in 2014, has been successful in making India a global manufacturing hub,
brought India the Fastest Growing Economy Tag since 2014. India has featured amongst the top 10
economies in terms of FDI inflows according to WIR 2016.

DIGITAL India launched by government in 2015 with a vision to create one digital literate in every
family by 2020 thereby transform the country in to digitally empowered nation, a target has been set to
provide Wi-Fi hotspots in 2.5 lakh gram panchayats across the country.

STARTUP India Scheme, launched in 2016, a Fund of Funds has been set up with an initial corpus of Rs
10,000 crore to support innovation driven Startups, the fund is being managed by SIDBI. Many measures
have been taken over last two years to build a strong startup ecosystem in the country.A total of 9716
startups have been registered till May 2018 and the growth rate in startup is encouraging.

First of its kind UDAN Scheme – Udey Desh Ki Aam Naagrik to improve connectivity of 33 un-served
airports and 12 underserved airports in the country. Half of the seats on the plane capped at Rs 2,500
per hour flight. Government of India will be providing subsidy for airlines connecting regional airports.

Under Ujjwala Scheme 8 Crore Poor women will be provided free LPG connections by 2020

As per a recent report by World Bank (April 2018) Global Findex Report, India has performed
extraordinarily in Financial Inclusion, the number of account holders in the country have increased to
80% in 2017.Jan Dhan Account holders in March 2018 stood at 314.4 Million. Statistics say that of the
51.4 Core accounts opened globally between 2014-17 – 55% accounts are from India.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan – (India’s biggest ever cleanliness drive) launched in 2014.As per the recent
economic survey Sanitation coverage in Rural Areas increased to 76% in 2018. 296 Districts, 3,07,349
Villages and 11 states as in February 2018 have been declared Open Defecation Free. In its recent
report, UNICEF has estimated that a household in an ODF village in rural India saves Rs 50,000 every
year.

AYUSHMAN Bharat Mission – acclaimed to be World’s largest government funded health programme
titled National Health Protection Scheme will cover 10 crores (approximately 50 crore beneficiaries)
poor and vulnerable families with an early protection of Rs 5 Lakh per family for secondary and tertiary
care hospitalization and also 1.5 Lakh health and wellness centers will be developed in the country to
bring healthcare close to homes.

PM Krishi Sinchayee Yojana – Per drop – More Crop Scheme and Har Khet Ko Pani Scheme, is a

Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana launched in 2014 by PM Narendra Modi for holistic development of Gram
Panchayats to uplift and develop rural India. Member of Parliaments have to identify districts and
formulate a strategy to implement all possible schemes in the district for the better performance on
various set parameters,1214 SAGY Gram Districts from 478 districts across the country have been
identified till November 2017.

Mission Antyodaya – launched in 2017, aimed at bringing 1 crore households out of poverty. Target
set to bring 50,000 Gram Panchayats out of poverty by October 2019.

Mission INDRADHANUSH – launched in 2014, to cover all those children who have been partially
vaccinated or not vaccinated during routine immunization rounds. The mission has covered 2.53 crore

by December 2018, the earlier target of 2020 has been advanced.

As per the recent amendment to Maternity Benefit Act, maternity leave period for working women
has been extended from existing 12 weeks to 26 weeks.

POSHAN Abhiyaan was launched on in March 2018 by the Prime Minister in Jhunjhunu which is aimed
at reducing stunting, under-nutrition, anemia (among young children, women and adolescent girls), the
primary target of the mission is to bring down stunting among children in the age group 0-6 years from
38.4% to 25% by 2022.

Social Justice and Women Empowerment

First of its kind Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme for the girl child launched in 2015 which is a deposit
account exclusively for the girl child that involves a systematic investment till the girl attains 14 years of
age with a yearly cap of Rs 1,50,000. The amount will be allowed for withdrawal only after the girl child
attains 18 years of age, till then interest at 8.1% will be paid by the government of India.

Houses Sanction under PM Awas Yojana (Grameen) to be registered in the name of the women
member in the family.

India Scheme: To promote entrepreneurship among SC/ST and Women launched in 2016. Loans to
more than 15000 entrepreneurs given comprising of 80% women.

PM Ujjwala Yojana – To provide free LPG connection to 8 Crore poor women in the country in order to
protect the health of the women.

Mahila Shakti Kendra: A scheme to upgrade anganwadi centers and rebuild them for community
participation and empowerment of women.

One Stop Centers for Women: SAKHI – launched in 2015, to provide medical, police, legal help and
psychological counseling to women affected by violence under one roof.

As per the amendment to Maternity Benefit Act, Maternity leave for working women has been
extended to 26 weeks from existing 12 weeks in 2017.

PM Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan: To provide assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of
cost, to all pregnant women on 9th of every month. 40 lakh antenatal checks completed till date.
