EDUCATION-RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
2016 - 2018 MC SCHOOL Secondary English and AP Language & Composition
• Developed literature and language curriculum for 9th-11th grades
based on Common Core standards and AdvancED.
• Increased AP English Language & Composition participation and
average student score, including several 5 test scores.
• Created Senior Capstone curriculum modeled after project-based
learning and IB Extended Essay.
• Served as 11th grade homeroom teacher and representative.
• Initiated and led Habitat for Humanity trip to Trinidad & Tobago for
civic engagement opportunity.
2015 - 2016 SOUTHFIELD-LATHRUP HIGH SCHOOL Secondary English
• Developed curriculum and led instruction in Sophomore composition
and literature and IB English HL.
• Critically reflected on instructional practice through graduate level
courses centered around classroom management, professional
development, and content-specific instruction.
• Conducted various case studies and research surrounding creative

• Led various trips to enrich culturally relevant pedagogy and globalized
curriculum, including a trip to Southwest Detroit, the Holocaust
Memorial Center, and a slam poetry event with poets from InsideOut,
a literary arts group in Detroit.

• Coordinated, constructed curriculum and led My Brother’s Keeper, a
