Dear Football Fans,

Welcome back to the “BOB PALUZZI FOOTBALL POOL”. Our

football pool will start on SUNDAY SEPT. 9, 2018.
Marlon Brando famously said in “On the Waterfront” : “I could have
been a contender”. We hope you will all contend for the top prizes.

As always, you have the choice of joining three pools this year and we
know that the 2018/2019 season will be an exciting one. Best of luck to
all the ladies and gentlemen who will be joining us this year.

P. S. The Super Bowl will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in

Atlanta on Sunday Feb. 3, 2019.

PLEASE NOTE:

A) ALL PICKS must be e-mailed by THURSDAY midnight

poolpix2007@sympatico.ca.

B) You may call in your picks to Sebastian,

Tuesday to Thursday from 4:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M.

C) The top 10 players’ picks, along with the current standings will
be posted on our website.

D) If a player does not submit their picks before the deadline, they
will be assigned the first four UNDERDOGS for the first time it
happens. Should this happen a second time, the player will again be
assigned the first four underdogs but will only benefit from HALF of
the points earned by the winning underdogs.

E) The deadline for entering our pool is Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018.

It will be much appreciated if you enter earlier to help us prepare
our grids for the season.

For “newcomers” a brief explanation of basic rules follows:

1) S. V. P. choose 4 teams that play on SUNDAY and only SUNDAY.

2) WIN=2 points
TIE= 1 point
LOSS=0 points

3) Since the local newspapers no longer publish the betting line for NFL
games, we will be using” VEGAS INSIDER. COM” consensus to
determine the spread in each game. Our pool uses the TUESDAY
points spread as the final standard to determine winners & losers. If
there is no point spread published for 1 or more games (i.e. NO
LINE), we wait until the point spread appears on that game/or
games and add it to the original TUESDAY point spreads.

4) If you choose a team that is favoured to win, your team must win by
at least that number of points your team is favoured by. E.g. If you
choose the IND. Colts (-3) to beat the N. E. Patriots (+3), a winning
score might be Colts 24 Patriots 20. If the score is Colts 23
Patriots 20, you have tied the point spread thereby earning 1 point.
5) ASK about our “MONDAY NIGHT “pool when entering our
SUNDAY pool”. The “Monday Night” pool begins on Sept. 10,2018
-Please choose the N. Y. JETS at DETROIT LIONS game.

PLEASE NOTE:

When emailing, state your Football Entry Name and please submit
your weekly picks with “NFL POOL and WEEK NUMBER in the
subject line.”

6) BEFORE E-MAILING YOUR PICKS,

It is your responsibility to choose a team that is playing on Sunday
(some players have chosen teams that are playing on Thursday or
teams that are not playing that week (bye week)).
If the error is spotted on Sunday or before, you will be assigned the
“underdog” of the Sunday night game. If the error is not caught on
time, you will not get any points for your wrong pick.

3. You must wager at least 10% of your points on each game.
