23. Men’s Open 50m  The same child cannot paddle with both mother and father. If a parent is
24. Women’s Open 50m unavailable, an aunt, uncle, or grandparent may substitute.
25. Family Relay (3 people) (see note c below) 25m/each  For this race, a solo paddler sits in the bow seat facing forwards with the rest of
the canoe behind him/her. You must cross the finish line in this position, bow first,
Notes a. Swimmers can only compete in events within their age groups. not backward or stern first.
b. Those placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd may compete in upper age event.
c. Family is defined as siblings, parents or grandparents. No exceptions!
