International Academic Forum On Sino-Nepal Cooperation

Within “ Belt & Road Initiative ” in New Era

As friendly neighbors, Nepal and China have been in close


contact since ancient times. Just as President Xi Jinping says,
Nepal and China are intimate neighbors,and the cooperation
between the two countries can act as the role model for the
peaceful co-existence and reciprocal cooperation between big
countries and smaller ones. To strengthen the role model and
revitalize both China and the South Asia nations along the Silk
Road, Hebei University of Economics & Business and
Kathmandu University will co-organize International Academic
Forum on Sino-Nepal Cooperation within “Belt & Road Initiative”
in New Era. at Oct. 12-14, 2018 in Shijiazhuang, China.

I. Theme

The forum will have the following topics and beyond:

1. Cooperation and communication between the political parties


in China and Nepal

2. Party politics in Nepal


3. Governance and social-economic development in Nepal

4. Sino-Nepal economic cooperation

5. Opportunities and challenges for Nepal under the background


of “Belt & Road Initiative”

7. Regional cooperation between Nepal and China

8. Cultural and economic communication and cooperation


between Nepal and China’s Hebei Province

9. Communication, cooperation and development along the Sino-


Nepal border

10. Language teaching in China and Nepal

11. Human and educational cooperation

12. Comparison of traditional cultures of China and Nepal

13. National character of Chinese and Nepalese People

14. Communication and exchange between China and Nepal

15. Engineering and technology cooperation for the development


of economy of Nepal and bilateral business development

Oct.11 and departure on Oct. 14)

Deadline of submitting abstracts: June 30, 2018

Deadline of submitting papers: July 30, 2018

Delivery of conference invitation: August 10, 2018

IV. Requirements and Expenses

1. Working Languages: English and Chinese

2. The participants may submit English or Chinese papers


for the conference. The papers submitted in Chinese shall
have titles, abstract and key words in English.

3. Expenses: The forum charges no fees. Except for


specially invited guests, the participants shall pay for
their own travel and accommodation.
