Pre – Regional Mathematics Olympiad

The Regional Mathematical Olympiad is organized in India by Homi Bhabha Centre for
Science Education (HBCSE, TIFR), on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics
(NBHM) and is financed by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) (DAE). A complete detail of the

Beginning this year, the Pre-RMO, has been introduced which will be held in the month of
August. The RMO will be conducted in October. With just four topics from the precollege
mathematics (Geometry, Algebra, Number Theory and Combinatorics), the math Olympiad exams are
the most challenging ones. Attempting this exam requires special training and guidance.
Navi Mumbai Science Foundatio
Foundation (NMSF) feels privileged while arranging a training
program for the same. The present program is for training students for Pre-RMO
Pre & RMO-2018
Examination. It is a first program of its kind in Navi Mumbai
Mumbai. and will benefit students of Navi
Mumbai and Thane region.. The experts who conduct this training are well experienced in the field.

The details of "Pre-RMO"

RMO" guidance programme are as under:
1. In view of the inclusion of pre
pre-RMO
RMO stage in the process of selecting the inter-national
inter
Olympiad team, we have modified our guidance session schedule as well.
2. Preparations for the Pre RMO 2018 exam (expected to be held in August 2018) starts in
December 2017 and will consist of 40 hours of training.
3. The classes will start 9th Dece
December
mber 2017 and run through the vacation to August 2018.
The classes will be conducted on every Saturday in the evening 5:00pm to 7:00 pm. The
students who are eligible for appearing in pre
pre-RMO
RMO 2018 (students who will be in 8th
and 9th standard) may register for the class.
4. A vacation of one month will be given starting from 2 weeks before school annual exam.
5. The classes will continue to October 2018 for the benefit of those who get selected for
the next stage (RMO).
6. There will be no screening test for admiss
admission,
ion, however the classes are not regular maths
class and will be at the difficulty level of Olympiad competition.
7. Registration fee: Rs. 8000 /
/- per student for the entire period.
