Proposed Amendment: As we are a developing country, Myanmar strongly supports clause 2.3,
which calls upon the international community to provide assistance to countries experiencing food
crisis. Assistance from the international community will benefit us as a country as it will enable us to
improve access to sufficient food amongst the poor people in our country, particularly women and
children.
 We strongly support this amendment because Myanmar is currently facing poverty, food crisis,
ethnic conflict, natural disasters, which results to food insecurity within the country.
 We strongly support this amendment as we are a developing country and we do not have the
finances to support our country ,which has resulted to the increase of poverty, food crisis and
ethnic conflict.
