answers. platform.

This course is intended for undergraduate students. These students need to complete ENGL

100 as a prerequisite to taking ENGL 101.

The methodology that best suits the ENGL 101 course content is the constructivist theory.

This theory always places the learner as the center of his or her educational experience by

constructing knowledge from prior and current content and experiences. To achieve this, students

in this institution, have a complimentary educational tool in a learning platform called CANVAS

There are regular courses held at the institution with the complimentary use of the

learning platform, although this course in exclusively online supported by the CANVAS

platform.

Among the resources included in the ENGL 101 course there are Power Point

presentations by students as assignments, YouTube videos as complimentary resources,

interactive sites, social media and digital books selected by the professors to include in the
CANVAS platform. Evaluations will be graded in the platform because CANVAS provides a

grading system for assignments, quizzes and tests. These can be open ended questions, multiple

choice or true and false evaluations; the grading average and correct choices are selected by each

professor. Scores are automatically calculated by the platform.
