each landing and one button at each landing. All stops registered by the momentary pressure
of the car buttons shall be made in he order in which the landings are reached after the
buttons have been pressed but irrespective of the sequence in which calls were registered.
Stops registered by the momentary pressure of the buttons at the landings shall be made in he
order in which the landings are reached in he down direction of travel after the buttons have
been pressed. All landing calls shall be answered when the car is travelling in the down
direction, except in he case of the terminal floor calls which shall be answered as soon as it is
reached.

Load Non-Stop Option The landing calls shall be bypassed but not cancelled if the load
in the car is approximately 80% of the contract load.

Duplex Down Collective Microprocessor Control

The two elevators shall have Duplex Selective Down Collective Automatic Operation
whereby both elevators operate from a single line of single push buttons at the landings. Only
one car shall respond to any one landing call, when it is travelling normally in the down
direction.

The control shall be arranged so that, normally, one car shall be parked at the main floor and
the other a free car, at the landing last served, to answer the landing calls. Should both cars
happen to finish their calls at the main floor, the car which arrived there first shall become the
free car to answer subsequent landing calls.

When landing calls are registered the system shall calculate the response time to calls taking
into account car position, other calls registered, direction of travel, car load and distance cars
are from the call. The car than can provide the best response shall be allocated the call.

Either car shall always respond to its own car button calls regardless of the direction of the
landing calls. When either car is taken out of service for any reason, the other car shall
automatically answer all calls from the landings and its own car buttons.

Simplex Full Collective Microprocessor Control

The operation shall be Full Collective automatic type with one button in the car for each
landing level served; and UP and DOWN buttons at the intermediate landings and a single
button at each terminal landing. All stops registered by the momentary pressure of the car
buttons shall be made in the order in which the landings are reached after the buttons have
been pressed but irrespective of the sequence in which calls are registered. Calls registered
by the momentary pressure of the buttons at the landing shall be made in he order in which
the landings are reached in each direction of travel after buttons have been pressed. All UP
landing calls shall be answered when the car is travelling in the UP direction and all DOWN
landing calls shall be answered when the car is travelling in the DOWN direction, except in
the case of the terminal floor calls which shall be answered as soon as it is reached.

Duplex Full Collective Microprocessor Control

The two elevators shall have Duplex Full Collective automatic operation whereby both
elevators operate from a single line of push buttons at the landings, with up and down button
at the intermediate landings and a single button at each terminal landing. Only one car shall
respond to any one landing call, and that car shall be the car nearest in time to the call and set
for the direction of travel for which the car has been registered.

The control shall be arranged so that, normally, one car shall be parked at the main floor, and
the other a free car, at the main floor, and the other a free car, at the landing last served, to
answer the landing calls. Should both cars happen to finish their calls at the main floor, the
car which arrived there first shall become the free car to answer subsequent landing calls.

When multiple calls are registered on landings the system shall allocate the calls in a manner
that provides the best overall response time having taken into account the following; relative
position of each car to calls, direction of travel relative to a call, car calls already entered,
load in car.

Either car shall always respond to its own car button calls regardless of the direction of the
landing calls. When either car is taken out of service for any reason, the other car shall
automatically answer all calls from the landing and its own car buttons.

Full Collective Multi-Car Group Control

The group of lifts shall employ a Full Collective Group Supervisory control system.

The system shall operate by storing the car and landing calls with the former being answered
in a pre-determined order irrespective of the sequence of registration and the latter, allocated
through a microprocessor based supervisory program.

Without calls in the systems, cars shall be parked at pre-determined floors with one car at the
main landing and the other cars being evenly dispersed throughout the building. When
landing calls are entered into the system the supervisory program shall gather data from each
car in order to determine its current availability for a call and its time to respond to it. In
order to calculate response to it. In order to calculate response time the following shall be
considered.

- Distance from call.

- Hall calls already allocated to a car.
- Car calls already registered.
- Direction of travel.
- Car parked or running.
- Car fully loaded.
- Car on normal or special service.
- Coincident calls.

Calls shall be allocated and reallocated to keep the call with the best suited car. Scanning
shall take place at least 5 times per second. The landing calls shall be by-passed but not
cancelled if the load in a car is approximately 80% of contract load.

A key operated independent service switch shall be fitted in each car to enable operation from
the car buttons only, independent of the other cars.

The car and landing doors shall open automatically on arrival at the landing in answer to
either a car or landing call and remain open for an adjustable time period.

When a car is at a landing, the doors shall reopen by operating the door open button, landing
button or door safety edge.
