Applying to Oxbridge: Overview


1. Register with Higher Ed Office in person (for Y6 students) or email (for former
students only).
2. Read instructions on “UCAS Apply 2019”. Register for and start your UCAS
account online.
3. Approach your CT directly to request for a recommendation.
4. Check university websites for detailed course outlines, admission requirements
and college information.
5. Decide on college choice or put in an “open” application.
6. Register for admission tests early. Sit for admission tests as necessary.
7. Complete and submit your UCAS application well before deadline.
• Only for Cambridge: Submit COPA with uploaded results slips (refer to
COPA Guide on IVY and open RI website)
• Only for Cambridge: Submit SAQ as instructed by specific college
8. Attend an interview.
• Cambridge interviews: 15 – 20 October 2018
• Oxford skype interviews: 1st week of December 2018
9. Submit written work as instructed by specific Oxbridge college.

Admission Tests (Oxbridge)

• Registration period: 1 Sep 2018 – 15 Oct 2018

• Note the exact cut-off times and deadlines. Complete your registration well
ahead of deadlines.

• Date of tests: 31 October 2018

• MUST register your UCAS account for your UCAS ID before you register for
admissions tests.

• Admission tests results are ONLY valid for the year of application.

• Authorised test centres in Singapore

Cambridge written assessments:


• Pre-interview: Takes place after your interview, on 31 October 2018.
• At-interview: Takes place in mid-October 2018 with your interview.

• Date of test: 31 Oct 2018 @ Raffles Institution

• BioMedical Admission Test for: Medicine, Veterinary


Medicine, Biomedical Sciences and Dentistry courses at
certain universities.

• Students applying to the LKC School of Medicine in


2019 must also sit for the BMAT test.

REGISTRATION

• Registration opens on 1 Sep 2018.


• Standard registration: 1 Sep – 1 Oct
• Late registration deadline (additional fee): 31 Oct
• Register well before standard deadline.

• Register directly via RELC website, not through RI.


Select RI as your test centre at the dropdown list.

• Provisions are made for students who are on MOE FAS


(listed on the website) for BMAT fees

Admission Test_LNAT
(https://lnat.ac.uk/)

• The Law National Aptitude Test is an admissions test used by Law


programmes in some universities. Check with university websites on their
application/admission requirements.
• Registration: From 1 August 2018.
• Testing dates: From 1 September 2018.

NOTE: Oxford deadlines


• 5 October 2018: Register and book your LNAT slot
• 20 Oct 2018: Sit the LNAT before or on 20 Oct 2018 at the very latest

Deadlines for all other LNAT universities except Oxford


• 15 Jan 2019: Register & book LNAT test slot
• 20 Jan 2019: Sit LNAT before or on this date

You can take the LNAT before or after you send off your UCAS application.

Oxford Cambridge
- Skype interviews in Singapore - Interview team will be in Singapore

If you're selected for an interview outside the UK,


you'll be required to pay an interview fee (the fee
for overseas interviews to be held in 2018 will be

If you would like to be considered for interview in
Singapore, both your COPA and UCAS
application must be submitted by 20 Sep
