Dear Ma’am,

Greetings of Christ’s Peace!

I composed this letter for the reason that we, the SPA Music 3 class under my supervision, will be participating in the
upcoming Higalaay Choral competition featuring A Thousand Voices Choir on Aug. 20-21, 2018 to be held at Centrio
Activity Center, Cagayan de Oro City. It was CONFIRMED last Friday, Aug. 3, 2018 through online registration by the
Deped Region organizers and also with the approval of Mam Kay Mercado for our participation in the event. This is the 1 st
time that our SPA Music class will be participating in the event.

The objectives and/or synopsis of the said activity are the following:
a. Exposure of the music class in national choral competitions, Mindanao location;
b. To further improve the quality of singing of the choir through choral singing competitions such as these;
c. Choir competitions allow for the giving and receiving of inspiration;
d. Understand that there are certain opportunities, certain experiences and certain jobs that only excellence can
partake in;
e. The power of music in this sense is due to a) its interpreted emotional consistency and b) the intrapersonal
knowledge that comes from an emotional encounter through music;
f. Appreciate the importance of their musical offering. Public performance provides special opportunities for
recognition and sharing.
g. Promote our SPA Music classes as ambassadors of goodwill through the use of their talents;

Great learners seek learning opportunities, and opportunities to learn abound in competitions. Choir
competitions and festivals allow participants to listen to one another. Implicit in the nature of competition is the impetus
to be evaluative, to compare, and to make judgments. These higher-order thinking skills are essential for personal
progress. I, as a specialist and experienced in the field, will do my best to cater my students’ exceptional talents and skills
in the Music specialization. This will be a stepping stone, especially for the SPA Music students, for an unforgettable
experience and prepare them for more exposures on-stage performances in the future.

We will be representing not just ICENHS-Sta. Filomena but the ILIGAN CITY DIVISION as well.

In this connection, the students are requested to provide photocopy of the official receipt of the insurance
attached to the Parent’s permit as requirements for the activity. Thank you and we look forward to your favourable
response.
