Fruits Infused Water and its Health Benefits
There are many people left on the sidelines scratching their head wondering about
the benefits of drinking fruits infused water. If you are one of these people, you’re
certainly on the right track.

Hydration without doubt is one of the greatest reasons of drinking fruit infused
water. Infusing your water with fruits, vegetables and herbs will certainly entice
you to drink more water, as water alone can be quite dull!

By drinking infused water, you are taking pure drinking water and infusing it with
natural ingredients that contain a variety of vitamins and minerals that will boost
your health.

It’s a win-win situation for you, your body and your mind. Toxins will be flushed
from the body. Quick recovery for work outs is also an added benefit.

By staying properly hydrated, it will help you lose and maintain your weight. A
struggle for most people

Fruit infused water are great sources of vitamin C and B, calcium, magnesium,
potassium and fiber. It can help relieve bloating, ease inflammation in your joints
and also protects against scurvy.

In this book we have put together some healthy Fruit infused water recipes that
you can easily start with. But feel free to use your imagination. This is by no means
a definitive list.

Fruit Infusing Tips
With all our recipes, once you have the ingredients in the bottle, shake well and
leave to infuse. Make sure you have the lid on tight before you give it a good
shake!

We recommend leaving to infuse overnight in the fridge. If you’re in a hurry then

try adding in some crushed ice to make the drink extra refreshing.

Remove the skin from fruits where possible. The skin doesn’t provide much flavor.
With citrus fruits, this includes the white fibrous material too.

Removing this will prevent and bad, bitter flavors entering your drink, and allow
maximum flavor by exposing the juicy innards of the fruit.

Squeezing fruit and crushing or tearing leaves can help release extra flavor,
vitamins and anti oxidents.

Pineapple, lemons, limes and a lot of other citrus fruits have membranes that hold
the juice of the fruit. Breaking this membranes by squeezing the fruit releases the
juice into the water, giving enhanced flavor.

Don’t use hot or boiling water. This can help draw out flavor from the fruits, but
you will sacrifice a lot of the healthy enzymes you’re trying to get at!

Fruit infused water is meant to be consumed fresh. If you struggle for time, you
could prepare a large batch, but if you do remove the fruit after an overnight
infusion.

If you leave it in the water any longer it can start to decompose, making the water
taste funny, and in extreme cases can begin to introduce toxins into the water.
