APPENDIX A: MECHANICAL / PIPING SCOPE OF WORK

A1. MECHANICAL / PIPING GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK


A1-1 The mechanical/piping WORK includes installation of New Static Mixer (M-1010),
measuring, storage, handling, protection and welding of flanges, fittings, supply of
the piping, supports, valves etc and all other work necessary to complete the WORK.

A1-2 CONTRACTOR shall responsible to provide manpower, equipment / tools and other
consumables necessary for New Static Mixer (M-1010) installation

A1-3 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for checking piping colour codes and follow direction
arrows in accordance with relevant PTS and Project Painting Specification
requirements.

A1-4 CONTRACTOR shall segregate carbon steel material and Stainless steel material for
storage and handling.

A1-5 Supplied carbon steel bolt and nut shall be of fluorocarbon coated type.

A1-6 Contractor shall perform leak/pressure test (seat and body) and painting of the valves
supplied.

A1-7 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all slings for pipe spool handling are wrapped with soft
material packing in order to avoid damage to the paint work on spools. All damaged
paint work shall be made good by the CONTRACTOR at no extra cost.

A1-8 A number of items required for WORK will be supplied “shipped-loose’ by PCSB-
CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to work together with PCSB’s representative to
develop materials list and packing plans for all shipped-loose items. The
CONTRACTOR shall advise PCSB of any shortfall in the material supplied.

A1-9 CONTRACTOR shall record and maintain a daily progress report and attach a Field
Welding/NDT Summary Record for submission to PCSB. In order to assure progress
monitoring from day one of the work, CONTRACTOR shall complete listing of all
shop and field weld numbers and fill the report form with all required data such as
ISO drawing numbers, spool numbers, line numbers, pipe sizes and wall
thicknesses. Completed report forms shall be submitted to PCSB for review at least
thirty (30) days prior to the initial mobilisation.

A1-10 Installation, alignment, testing and inspection of all associated pipework required for the
WORK shall be included in the CONTRACTOR’s scope of work.

A1-11 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for installation of all necessary pipe supports. In the
case where extra pipe supports are required or these are not included in the
drawings, the CONTRACTOR shall supply the pipe support material and will be
responsible for the field installation with no extra cost.

A1-12 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the supply and installation of correct bolt length as
per the piping class irrespective whether these are shown in isometrics or MTO.

A1-13 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all tie-in of related pipings and facilities are correct as
indicated on the P&ID’s. It is also the CONTRACTOR’s responsibility to check
thoroughly all the design drawings and ensure that pipework is complete prior to
system leak teast and subsequent commissioning

A2. MECHANICAL / PIPING DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK

A2-1 CONTRACTOR shall procure, fabricate and install as applicable to complete installation
as per applicable attached drawings and documents

A2-2 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible to check and verify drawings for interference prior
to commencement of fabrication of all piping. Any necessary change that needs to be
done to the piping design as represented on drawings, as a result of interference,
vendor data incorporation or relocation of skids shall be carried out at
CONTRACTOR's own cost inclusive of engineering, procurement, modification,
fabrication and installation of additional pipe runs and fittings.
