The person I admire most in my family is my mother. She works
really hard to make sure our home is comfortable and clean, and
she always makes delicious food for us. We don’t really appreciate
her enough.
I have two sisters and one brother. We have arguments from time
to time, but we usually make up again soon after. I’d say I get on
with all of them, especially with my brother. He’s my best friend.
I think that the younger generation often have different opinions

A: Do you think people’s attitude towards work is changing
nowadays?
B: Well, I think people are more willing to change their job and
move to another city or even another country to find better
work, that’s for sure.
A: Yes, true. And when they start in their new job, they expect to
learn skills that they can transfer to another job later. I see that
a lot, especially with graduates when they apply for their first
job. They always ask about training and promotion.
B: They do but I think that then they get dissatisfied if they aren’t
promoted quickly enough.
A: I’m not sure about that. I think people understand that a
promotion is the result of hard work but also experience,
and this takes some time.
B: But that’s exactly the problem, I feel. What is people’s attitude
to hard work nowadays? I think people are less interested in
working hard.
A: Hmm. I think you’re forgetting that lifestyles have changed.
I’d say people have more outside interests and they’re probably
better at keeping a work-life balance. But this doesn’t mean
that they don’t work hard.
B: Actually, I think you’re right. In my company, there’s a sports
and fitness centre, and they even have yoga classes. People
aren’t stuck at their desks all day.
A: Exactly. And this way you don’t get so stressed about work …
that’s a very good thing!
