Article 1
The two institutions agree upon the following:
1. To collaborate in the field of health scientific research, education, services, and culture
exchange.
2. To exchange faculties and students for short- or long-term research and educational
purposes.
3. To foster collaborative projects between faculties and students (including undergraduate
and graduate) of both universities.
4. To share information about research, education resources, and programs.
5. To organize symposia, conferences, short courses and meetings on research issues.
Article 2
Faculties from each university may undertake short- or long-term exchanges for collaboration in
research, education, and health services. Appointments, titles and qualifications will be agreed
upon in advance, after due consultation.
Article 3
Students from both universities may be admitted for matriculation toward advanced degrees,
and also be in exchange for non-degree but accredited programs. Qualifications, requirements,
and limitations will be agreed upon in advance, and students will be selected through due
procedure by both universities.
Article 4
Both universities agree on the cost as follows:
1. In the case of cooperative project, cost will be discussed by both parties.
2. In the case of exchange faculties or students, the sending university or persons should be
responsible for the cost.
3. The host university shall waive application, matriculation, and tuition fees for the students.
Article 5
The host university shall make efforts to ensure that the students are provided assistance in
finding adequate housing on or near the campus.
Article 6
The students are required to carry a health insurance policy which will sufficiently cover his/her
own medical care during the period of stay abroad, and to show proof of this insurance.
Article 7
Faculties and students shall abide by policies of both the host and sending universities
regarding liability insurance and worker’s compensation coverage where applicable.
Article 8
The agreement for cooperation will become effective for a period of five years upon the date of
signature by the representatives of the two universities. The agreement may be amended or
revised at any time by the mutual, written consent of the parties. It may be terminated by either
party by providing six months notice to the other of its intention to terminate.
